Hi everybody, welcome to this video. We are in Asheboro, North Carolina at Jellystone
Campground and we want to tell you why you should consider this place if you're in this area next
time. Yeah, um, it looks like either it's a relatively new park or it's just been taken
over by two owner or by new owners that are, you know, doing some renovations. And putting a lot
into the park. It's very, very nice. They've got a lot of camping cabins, nice size sites,
very nice swimming pool with a little bit of a water slide on it. It looks like they're working
on a Yogi Bear village or, you know, some type of climbing village. Climbing village
based on the theme of Yogi Bear. Yeah. And Boo Boo. Yeah, and they seem to have characters here.
We saw Ranger Smith ride by on a golf cart while we were here. So you can probably have a character
meet and greet with Yogi and Boo Boo and Ranger. Yeah, it looks like they do have some type of
entertainment. They have places to buy snacks. There is a nice store as well when you come in.
Actually it's the office that you register in. We didn't walk around the whole park but what we did
see is very nice camping type cottages or cabins. They have a couple of those, what do they call
them? Like a yurt? Yurt, a couple of those. It's very nice landscape, very clean. There are, you
know, a variety of camping sites, different styles. They have pull throughs. They have back ends.
They all seem to be full hookup. At least from what we've seen we can't guarantee that
everyone is on here is a full hookup. But what we've seen and what we're in is a full hookup site.
They also have a dog park. Yeah, they have a nice little dog park. They have a fishing pond which
we've got a nice view of where it's our site. Right. Being the time of the year that it is,
it's not super crowded. There are people camping here. Yeah, we're kind of springtime and so we're
before the summer crowds. Given another couple weeks when May hits, I'm sure this place will
be a lot busier but also a lot more going on. Like the pool is not available to us right now
but I suspect in a couple weeks that will open up. They do have a nice playground as well with
different type of activities. An eight-person teeter-totter. I think it's more, like you say,
adjustable for different size kids. For adults and kids. Right. They have a zip line here.
What do they call that? The jumping? They have a jumping pillow that you can bounce on or your
kids can bounce on. I guess you can bounce on too if you want. If you want. So the jumping pillow
that Diane and Lincoln want to try out. Oh yeah. They have hay rides that go through the park.
And it looks like there's, you know, trails you can walk on as well. Yeah, look like there's a
lot of nice groomed trails. This is definitely a family type campground. You would really want to
come here with your kids or grandkids. I think they really would enjoy this place. You know,
fishing is available right here. Yeah. I would imagine they've got a full roster of activities
during the summertime for families. Plus, you're not far from the city of Asheboro,
which, you know, if you need any type of shopping or, you know, restaurants, anything like that,
it's not too far away. Yeah, and also the North Carolina Zoo is just a few miles down the road
from here. So if you're looking for something to do while you're here, that is definitely an option.
Richard Petty Museum is only about 16 miles from here. So you could go to that, which is really
what brought us here. And if we haven't posted that video yet, I'll definitely put a link to
it up here. Yeah, we're only here for a couple of days. We're making our way home to the north.
Unfortunately, we're hoping the weather is a little bit nicer, a little bit. The temperature
is a little bit. It will get there. It might not be there when we get home, but it will get there.
But it should be, you know, more springtime, I think. Yeah, so we really, really enjoyed our
stay here. Like Diane said, we've only been here for a couple of days, but we've enjoyed it. And
we definitely would recommend coming here. The cost for our site with full hookups for a night
was $75. So it is a little more on the expensive side. But if you come here when a lot more of the
amenities are going on, I'm sure it's well worth it, especially if you have a family. Oh, they also
golf carts. Oh, that's right. Golf carts are always a big plus because it is a good size park.
And a golf cart would really be convenient. Yeah, especially if you, you know, you got younger kids
that need, you know, need to get over to where all the activities are. Golf cart is definitely
the way to go. I want to show you the hookups here at Jellystone Park. And we have your
typical electrical hookup with 50, 30 and 20 amp service. Here's our water hookup.
And this is how I do my water filter. So I'm using a pressure reducer here. This allows me to spin
this on and off into the filter and then on the bottom a 90 degree adapter. And this compact setup
with the Clear 2.0 all-in-one dirt guard total filtration system gives me a real simple way to
hook everything up. I don't have to worry about any leaks. This is very solid. I eliminate that
short little hose a lot of times you put here, which to me always leaks. So this works great. So
I'm really happy with this. I'm really happy with the Clear 2.0 filter. If you're interested in one,
just a reminder, there's a 10% discount code in our description of this video. Give it a try.
Now the other thing about the hookups is the sewer line. And this is my sewer hose.
And here's the sewer connection. As you can see, I am about three feet short. I do have a second
hose, but I've never used it. I really don't want to use it if I don't have to. So I'm going to hitch
the trailer up. We're getting ready to leave today anyways. And I'm going to back it up so
that the hose reaches and I can dump the tanks before we hit the road. Because you always want
to run with empty tanks if you can. Because especially if they're like half full, because
then that stuff sloshes and causes issues. So we're going to back her up. Hope you enjoyed
this video. If you did, please give us a thumbs up. And if you haven't already, subscribe to our
channel, Zephyr Travels. And remember to hit that hype button. It really helps us out a lot.
Yeah, I hope this video gets more people to be able to see it and helps us tremendously.
If you've ever stayed here, please let us know. And if you plan on, I think it's a good choice
of a place to stay. Until the next time, we'll see everybody down the road. Take care, everybody.
