
Homemade Peach Cobbler Turnovers | Puff Pastry Recipe

📦 RECIPE:
🍑 29 oz canned peaches in heavy syrup (strained, reserve syrup)
🟤 1/4 cup light brown sugar
⚪ 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
✨ 1/8 tsp allspice
✨ 1/8 tsp nutmeg
🍂 1/2 tsp cinnamon
🧈 2 tbsp melted butter
🍦 1 tsp vanilla extract
🌽 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
🥐 Store-bought pastry dough
🍂 Extra cinnamon sugar for topping
🍨 Ice cream (optional for serving)
📦 INSTRUCTIONS:
1️⃣ Strain peaches over a bowl, saving the syrup. Place drained peaches in a separate bowl.
2️⃣ Add brown sugar, white sugar, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, melted butter, and vanilla to the reserved syrup. Whisk well.
3️⃣ In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with a little syrup until smooth. Add back into syrup mixture.
4️⃣ Pour mixture into a pan over medium heat. Whisk until thickened.
5️⃣ Chop peaches into smaller bite-sized pieces. Add peaches into the thickened sauce and mix together.
6️⃣ Roll out pastry dough and cut into squares.
7️⃣ Add peach filling to the center of each square. Fold over and seal edges with a fork.
8️⃣ Place turnovers on baking sheet. Sprinkle tops with cinnamon sugar.
9️⃣ Bake at 350°F for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
