Q&A: Zach & Tori Answer Your SPICY Questions | Raising Heights
4 Video Views·Apr 26, 2026
I'm going to get a spicy one then.
Okay.
Stacy asked, when was the last time we were at the farm?
Hey everyone.
Welcome to another episode of Raising Heights with Zach and Tori.
I'm Zach.
I'm Tori.
And we are glad you are here.
Hello.
Thank you for being here.
If it's your first time, welcome.
Episode 60 here.
60.
60 episodes.
Like I can't even believe that some of y'all are still here.
See, I'm like boring Zach.
He's like, he's 30 seconds into this and he's already bored.
No, I just got a little yawn.
Uh, yeah, this is our second to last episode before a break,
short summer break.
We're going on vacay.
Vacay.
Vacay mode initiated.
We're actually not going anywhere.
We're just taking a break.
We're going on vacation.
Because this is, this, oh, that's true.
But this is like, this is a lot.
We love doing this for you guys.
61 episodes.
Wow.
61 episodes.
So this is 60.
Next week will be 61.
61.
61 times we have sat here and talked about absolutely nothing,
but then everything at the same time.
How many weeks have we, uh,
so that's 61 weeks.
That's more than a year.
Yeah.
We've sat here than a year.
I mean, 52, 52.
Got it.
We took a break too in the past.
Crazy, crazy.
But thank you guys for being here.
Thank you for finding us.
Whether you're listening or watching on YouTube.
Welcome.
Yeah.
Welcome.
We do Peak and Pit.
Peak and Pit.
You got a peak?
The Peak and Pit.
What's Peak and Pit?
We do a Peak and Pit.
Highs and lows of the week, day, month, year.
Life, anything.
Just talk about it.
It's a really great way to talk to your partner, your family.
Yeah.
Peak and Pit.
Peak, peak, peak.
Can I talk about my peak?
Okay.
I have two.
Zachary gave me the luxurious gift of going shopping by myself last night.
That never happens.
Not because you don't let me, but usually I'm like, I want a buddy.
I want somebody to come with me.
Yeah, I was going to say, you take Lila.
I love taking our kids.
But I got the gift of going by myself last night.
And you guys, for those of you who aren't watching, I am wearing a hot pink pair of pants.
Are you bored?
No.
Can you get it together?
I am very excited about this.
All right, hot pink pants.
Zach and I have the very opposite issue.
Zachary cannot find pants short enough for him.
He has to hem everything.
I cannot find pants long enough for me.
And so it's a rule in my book that if you find pants that are long enough for you, you buy them.
You just buy them.
They're hot pink.
Don't care.
They're long enough.
They're amazing.
That's my first peak was finding those while shopping.
Hot pants.
Hot pants, hot pink pants.
And then my second peak is I went shopping for myself.
I wanted to go shopping for myself, but then I ended up, I found a pair of pants, which was
amazing, but I ended up buying everything for our children because they're so darn cute and
they're so much fun to shop for.
You buy stuff and then you're going to complain in two months about how we have so many shoes
everywhere.
I didn't buy any shoes.
I bought shoes for Sai.
I bought one pair of shoes for Sai.
You didn't buy the Crocs?
I did not.
Relax.
Okay.
After making the kid leave the bonus.
You're ruining my peak right now.
Okay.
I get home at 9 30 last night and Lila gets out of her bed so excited and I have three
bags and I put them up on the kitchen table and I, and she goes, Oh, you got three shopping
bags.
Like she loves to just play with the shopping bags.
Like that's her favorite thing.
But I put them up there and I go, yeah, they're all for you.
And she was just tickled pink.
That girl was like, I got to do a fashion show at 9 30 at night.
Where's dad?
Tell him to sit down.
I'm trying everything on.
I'm up.
And we did.
And it was so much fun.
And now we're probably going to go shopping again today because I love her.
And I, you, okay.
What was she doing right before we came out here though?
Oh, right.
Before we came out here, she was putting out all the outfits that I bought her, laying
them out on her floor.
So she knew what she was doing.
Or that's going to be a doozy later.
She's going to be a doozy.
She's going to be a me.
Good luck.
Um, anyway, moms will relate to this because I feel like I spend too much money on clothes.
I will throw my hands up and say that.
I've spent too much money on clothes for our kids, shoes, all the things.
Cause it's a lot of fun for me and it's cute for them.
And it's a fun time.
However, it's very annoying when I finally find something good.
There's I buy so many things that don't work out for our kids that just don't work with
their whatever.
And then I find something that I do love on our kids and fits them all.
And I only buy one by every color.
Yes.
Get every style.
Like, why don't I do that?
I'm like, I'm going to save money and I'm only going to get one.
And then I come home.
It fits Lila perfectly.
And I'm like, why didn't I buy nine of these?
Yeah.
Just one for each day of the week.
And then I don't have to do laundry.
Gotten a lot better.
But Tori's big issue though that I have is she's always buying fancy clothes for them.
Church clothes or something.
Yes.
Okay.
No, we need basics.
Okay.
We need, we need Saturday through or Monday through Saturday basic clothes.
Okay.
I like the cute stuff.
I like buying all the cutesy things.
Six days, 52 weeks out of the year.
But then also, but also can I just say this though too?
Because you, it's very frustrating.
Zach will not back me up sometimes when it comes to Jackson.
Cause Jackson, for some reason, out of all of our kids is very particular about what he wears.
So I've basically.
I was very particular when I was a kid.
I have basically just stopped buying him clothes.
I've just, all right, I'm done buying you clothes.
I don't buy him anything anymore.
And then Zach makes a comment to me yesterday
about how we should probably burn 90% of the clothing that he owns.
Cause it's disgusting.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
We can do that because I don't like, because then we just,
let's buy him clothes that he will actually wear.
But he won't wear.
That's he, Oh, do you know how we were in gap?
All of us together as a family, we were in gap and me and you,
we like, he found like a Mario shirt.
Remember he begged us for that Mario shirt.
And I said, are you going to wear this Mario shirt?
First of all, I hate buying shirts with characters on them.
Yeah.
Not my thing.
Don't like wearing, having our kids wearing like it.
Right.
And I pulled it out of his drawer the other day and said, Hey,
you picked out this Mario shirt.
You told me you were going to wear it.
Let's wear this today.
And what does he do?
I don't like that shirt.
Oh boy.
Can you stop yawning?
Am I boring?
Yawn?
No, it's not you.
What's going on?
I'm so tired.
You getting a fox in over there?
Yeah.
Anyway.
Yeah.
No, Jackson is a tough one with clothes.
I was like that as a kid.
I had a very particular set of clothing that I liked wearing.
You know, I wasn't, I didn't really spread from that.
Or I didn't like spreading from that.
So I have a hard time.
I almost bought you a shirt.
And if we go back tonight, cause I think I am going to go back tonight.
If I go back tonight, I'm buying you that shirt.
And it's, it's just going to buy me a shirt.
What are you going to have?
I need socks.
I bought you socks.
I need socks.
I bought you socks.
You're welcome.
Okay.
But also we have LPA coming up, which we like.
Honestly, we don't take a lot of vacations.
When we do vacations are usually like for just our family.
We don't usually go see somebody.
But for LPA, I know for myself, like we're going to see a lot of friends
and you want your kids to look nice.
You want them to look fresh.
But I also want my husband to look good.
I don't want my husband to show up in like the t-shirts that you have, which are.
What's wrong with me?
Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
See, this is why I signed with Jackman.
You're not going to dress me.
So I'm going to buy you some shirts.
I have been doing my thing for 35 years.
It's going to work out real well.
When you found me, you tell me.
I leveled up slightly.
Slightly?
Yeah.
You leveled up a whole bracket of something.
I don't know what that bracket was.
I locked in on you, put a ring on it.
And now I'm back to basics.
Do you remember?
I used to like buy you clothes and we would go and get them altered.
And then you would literally like, I would take a picture or something.
And you would be like, I look good.
Yeah.
Like I look good.
Yeah.
Okay.
But now we're now.
No, no.
We're going to keep the train rolling.
Now we have kids.
We have three kids.
And like now it's black t-shirts and.
No, I found some really nice shirts.
I think you'll really like them.
So if I go back, I'm going to get them.
All right.
Peek and pet.
That's your peeks.
That was a long peek.
You have a pet.
No pits.
I don't think so.
I'm pretty.
I have a pet.
Oh, what's your pet?
Oh, here we go.
You're buying me clothes.
My peek was we went to Lila and Josiah and me had a nice little.
Walk at daybreak.
Oh yeah.
You guys just did that this morning.
We walked the gravel path also.
What does that mean?
We got off the scooters at the very end.
Oh, like you went around.
We got off the scooters.
Yeah.
We did that walk too.
Um, Josiah struggled a little bit at the end of that part, but.
Josiah, he was such a dude.
We had a lot of fun and we walked down into the little island area and.
Nice.
It was good, good, good.
That was another peek though.
That was a peek of mine.
My peek is you went to daybreak with our children and left me home alone.
Like Jackson was here, but.
I have three peeks.
I have so many.
It was a good.
It was just good.
All of it was good.
Love it.
Um, all right.
Well, let's, uh, get into this.
Man, can we say something about current events?
Depends on what you're going to say.
There's a lot of drama going on in the United States right now.
What's the drama though?
Don't go politics.
I'm going to get up if it's politics.
All right, moving on.
No, is it politics?
Elon and Trump fighting.
Okay.
Yep.
All right.
Anyway.
Okay.
So if you guys have not heard, you can go to raising heights.com and become a member.
And I have a comment from Clara.
This portion of raising heights is brought to you by Ollipop.
We love us some Ollipop.
My favorite flavor here is crisp apple.
Love me some classic grape.
Yeah.
Ollipop is awesome.
Uh, if you drink soda a lot as a child, like I did, it has a lot of sugar, the normal sodas.
Um, and just not very healthy.
Ollipop doesn't go beyond five grams of sugar and all their flavors, depending on the flavor,
does not go beyond five grams.
It's super healthy.
Good for your digestive system.
Goes down smooth.
Doesn't make you feel bloated.
It's awesome.
And we love it.
Gives you that soda flavor taste in your mouth.
A little carbonation.
From your childhood.
Yeah.
But doesn't give you the after effects.
Doesn't kill your insides.
Yeah.
It doesn't kill your insides.
I don't know how I'm still alive after doing that.
Honestly, we need more Ollipop to support the digestive health that you deteriorated
over your childhood.
Yeah.
So we actually found Ollipop, uh, on our own and it's another brand of ours
that we're super stoked that reached out to us because we were already fans.
I've been buying Ollipop for a long time.
It's like my favorite summer drink.
Cause you can just sit out on your patio and you're feel like you're drinking a soda,
but you're really just like helping your digestive system.
Yep.
Ollipop is sold in over 50,000 different retailers plus online and Amazon.
So you can get it basically anywhere.
Yeah.
If you buy two cans of Ollipop, Ollipop will get you one back for free.
Ollipop will pay you back for one of those cans.
So basically buy one, get one.
Yeah.
You guys can go to drinkollipop.com slash heights to find your favorite flavor.
Cheers.
Okay.
So Clara says camping nightmare.
So she went camping up in Burley mountain with her dad going down.
There's still ash from Mount St. Helens.
Her dad had told her that everybody that was hiking had to dig heels into the hill because
of the ash.
I lifted my foot to dig my heel in and I went sliding down the mountain.
I landed underneath a tree that was down.
I took out the whole entire hornet's nest and was stung over a hundred times.
That's might be worse than the story that I told.
Yeah.
That is worse.
That's terrifying.
Yeah.
That's a pretty bad one.
Camping.
Camping is just like, why do you got to go camping?
A bunch of bee stings while out in the forest.
Are you alive, Clara?
Like Clara, are you good?
Yeah.
Are you good?
Are you okay?
Why don't you check in with her?
Because I don't, I won't say who it was, but somebody very close to us lost somebody
to bee stings.
Remember they like came in contact with the hornet's nest and it got all in her nightgown
and she like died.
We know this person.
I'm not going to say who it is, but like, that's like so scary.
That's like the hunger games when what's her face falls from the tree.
Yeah.
Wow, Clara.
I'm glad you're still here to tell the story to us.
Yeah.
That's wild.
Do I want to look at other comments?
Oh yeah.
Wow.
Okay.
Do we, uh, let's get into it today.
We're going to do a little Q and a today.
Okay.
Wait, hold on one more.
Cause Kate also said camping is fun.
Hope you all have a great time, but I love renting a cabin on the water.
And then you don't have to worry about the blow up mattress or outdoor facilities.
Kate, I'm with you.
Yeah.
I am with you, girl.
I.
That is nice.
That's the way to go.
And when you just have a clean facility to being in nature, but you can still have like
clean bed, no bugs, no dust, no mill or not mildew, but like, um, morning do.
And anyway, I'm with you, Kate.
Yeah.
I agree with you as well.
Okay.
Well, we asked y'all questions.
We're going to do one more Q and a before we.
Love it.
Do our thing.
But yeah, we, I feel like we got some good questions this time.
You guys always love these ones and I love them too.
Cause it's what you guys want to hear.
Yeah.
So yeah, we did this off of the raising heights Instagram.
So make sure you're following them.
But I have some spicy ones.
Okay.
We're going to get a little spicy here and it's just, it's going to be okay.
I can't talk about politics, but the fans can get spicy with their questions.
Can I ask like a spicy one right off the bat or should I hold on to it?
I'll go for it.
This portion of raising Heights is brought to you by HelloFresh.
We love HelloFresh.
I love HelloFresh.
I do a lot of the cooking at our house.
Yes.
And during the summertime we're go, go, go always doing something fun.
And I love HelloFresh because it means I spend less time at the grocery store,
less time in the kitchen and more time with you guys.
Yeah.
Well, it's also nice.
You pick out your meals beforehand.
So the decision-making is gone.
You already made the decision.
Right.
Decision shows up to your doorstep and then boom, you can make dinner that week.
And their menus have so many good options every single week that change every single week too.
Yeah.
We just had a shrimp one that Jackson was all about.
It was so good.
Yeah.
Easy.
Perfect sizing.
Good flavor.
Yeah.
Makes it super easy.
Everything comes directly to our doorstep.
Fresh ingredients.
All I have to do is put it together.
Yeah.
It's all in a little baggies.
Got your little directions.
Got your, your meat below in the freezing and then boom.
Zachary could do it if you want to do it.
Zach is not a big chef, but HelloFresh makes him a chef because it's so easy.
Yeah.
We've used HelloFresh for a long time.
I truly believe that HelloFresh helped me learn how to cook because when we first got married,
I didn't know how to create meals for a family and HelloFresh does all the work for you.
And it gives you step-by-step instructions on how to make each meal.
And so it truly taught me how to, how to cook.
I feel like it's introduced new foods to us too.
Like foods maybe we would not buy on our own and then like you get it with the HelloFresh,
they put good stuff with it.
And it's like, oh wait, that's an option.
That's a really good thing together.
Yeah.
Like, and yeah, you can add to it and.
And I also love that once you learn how to make a meal from HelloFresh,
you can then make it on your own too.
Like it taught me how to make a one pot pan chili.
Yeah.
It's our favorite meal.
Like it's so good.
I like HelloFresh because sometimes like, like, I don't know,
random ingredient, like chili sauce or something like that.
Or like onion.
You're out of it.
Yeah.
You don't have that one.
So it's like, ah, I got to go to the store for onion.
One tiny onion.
Yeah.
They give you everything.
Everything.
Your kitchen does not need anything.
Like everything is right there.
Super easy.
They even have ready-made meals that you can literally just put in the microwave and, and go.
Make your summer enjoyable and delicious by signing up for HelloFresh at

That's HelloFresh.com slash Raising Heights 10 FM for 10 free meals and a free item in every box.
HelloFresh.com slash Raising Heights 10 FM.
Go check them out.
Okay.
Actually, I'm going to hold on to it.
Cause this one's a good one.
I feel like this, maybe we can answer this one for each other, but let's see.
Is it Angel, Angela Aiden, Angel Layden?
I'm not sure.
Anyway, how do you handle criticism and do you use it for personal growth?
I feel like we can answer this for each other.
Like how do you handle criticism and how do I handle criticism?
I think this is a good one.
Yeah, I, yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
I, uh, I think I handle certain criticism.
Okay.
So let me answer for you and you answer for me.
Yeah.
Okay.
Go.
Okay.
Zachary handles criticism.
I think better than anyone that I know.
It's like kind of annoying.
Okay.
Thank you.
Zachary has a very, no, no, no, no.
You handle criticism very well.
I think that, and you don't, I don't think you're criticized a lot, maybe online, but like
people online, I don't necessarily, like usually they're trolls and we don't care about people
online.
Like you, you know what I mean?
So I don't think a lot of people in real life criticize you, but when you are criticized,
I feel like you're very good at putting it through this filter of so many different scenarios
that people probably never think about in 10 years span.
Yeah.
You think about it within four minutes.
Yeah.
I appreciate it.
Yeah.
That's good.
Like, I would say shout out to Dan and Mueller and even your brother.
Like, I do feel like that friend group, you guys did do a good job of holding each other
accountable.
Like when you guys made decisions or did things.
I'm talking it out.
Yeah.
I do feel like you guys did a really good, especially Dan.
Like, I feel like he was very good at like saying something.
And so you are good.
I feel like of taking that information in and either using it or not.
But there were times that friends brought stuff to your attention that I feel like you
did use it for personal growth and you got better at.
Oh yeah.
No, I, I, yeah, I think I do a pretty good job.
Yeah.
You take criticism, you know, first identify it.
Is this criticism to like inflate the other person or is it true criticism?
Who is it coming from?
Is it to like hurt you or help?
Is it, is it, or is it to like shield them from something?
So they're kind of attacking you first kind of thing, which is fine.
But, um, I feel like I'm pretty self self-aware in that sense.
And you are very self-aware.
It's kind of annoying.
It's always important to say like, oh man, I was wrong there too.
A lot of people have a problem saying they're wrong, you know, and that, you know, then
that can make people not criticize you because they just don't want to deal with it.
You know what I'm saying?
But then that can also isolate you later on too.
So, um, yeah, that was a good question to start off.
I think you take criticism.
Okay.
Harshly, don't be nice.
Yeah.
Tell them the truth.
I don't take criticism.
Corey does not take criticism.
Well, it doesn't like to be questioned.
Or if I ask for a clarification, she does not appreciate that.
She takes it as a personal dig that I am not.
I'm trying to be better.
Okay.
But criticism for me has always been really hard.
Like I am a perfectionist.
She's a perfectionist.
Okay.
Can we just talk about this episode?
What?
We actually recorded our last episode.
Okay.
Yesterday.
On accident.
Because I asked you twice.
Are we sure this is?
I know.
And Victoria does not like for like, if I like said, well, let's call Matt.
You know what I'm saying?
Or like if I challenged that she, so I just don't deal with it.
I'm like, fine, let's do it.
You know, and then turns out that wasn't our last episode.
It wasn't.
This is.
Because it is.
Yeah.
You know, so it's.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Tori doesn't.
So that was a good question.
I'm trying to be better, but I, yeah, I think that we, yeah.
I get offended though.
I, this is now a marital counseling.
Yeah.
I get offended though.
Because when I question you, you get so offended.
But it's like, I'm not some random internet person questioning you.
I'm your husband.
And it's like, you just me saying it should trigger something of like,
but you're so quick to like, no, no, this is our last one.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like, well, hold on.
I wouldn't just be asking this.
If it like, there's something there.
I think that my brain goes a million miles an hour.
It's constantly moving and constantly changing.
So sometimes I just don't have time.
I don't have time.
It's a little insecurity though, too.
Like you like are a perfectionist or you want to perceive yourself as a perfectionist.
So it's like, I'm not wrong.
And it's like, well, hold on here again.
This isn't like, oh, I'm insecure and I don't handle criticism.
I think you're insecure with that, that characteristic of,
you do perceive yourself as a perfectionist.
And so therefore when that is challenged, you know,
and criticism would is a challenge of a perfectionist, you know?
So anyway, carry on.
Thanks, Angela.
Thank you for your question.
Okay.
Actually, this is, I'm picking, I'm picking the easy ones really quick.
Okay.
Monica H asks car seats and dwarfism.
How do you know when to change their seats?
This is a very, very interesting question.
And one that I don't have the answer to.
Yeah, that's a spicy one.
That's a really interesting one.
Okay.
Because also every time I post a video in the car,
and I honestly try not to post videos in the car because I get criticism.
I get criticism every single time I do it.
I think if it went on height,
then our kids would be in a car seat until they're 15.
Yeah.
Like it's very, it's a very difficult,
there's no like rule on car seats with kids and dwarfism.
Is there?
I mean, I think it's a height and weight.
Yeah.
But I think it's like you either this weight or this height.
I don't think it's a, you're this height and this weight.
I'm actually, I am actually really not sure.
Yeah.
I'm not sure.
I know from my mom, friends,
you keep your kids backwards as long as you can.
That's like the safest place for your kids to be is turned backwards.
Yeah.
But.
Driving.
Yeah.
Driving, even driving for people, dwarfism is a tough one.
Cause like, hypothetically, like this is all unsafe,
you know, cause we're driving so close to the steering wheel with the airbags.
You know what I'm saying?
Our arms are short, you know?
So like we're, we're like that airbag goes off, you know,
it would hurt even an average height,
but like you guys are, you know, two feet back, whatever, three feet.
We're like a foot, six inches from the steering wheel.
And like, that's you think about there's other types of,
there's other people with different types of dwarfism that are even closer.
Yeah.
That have even more adaptations for driving than what you do.
The airbag and driving and people with dwarfism,
that's all like a concern and like a risk that you take when you're driving.
It is.
I think that I actually just recently got a question from,
I want to say it was a mom who had a child with dwarfism that asked about,
because I think within the dwarf community,
there's a lot of issues with finding car seats that fit kids.
Yeah. There's a breathing.
That's a huge thing.
Breathing like there's a tragedy happened in the LP community a while back.
Yeah.
I don't want to get into it, but the breathing of people with dwarfism,
like you guys can all put your chin to your, your chest and like just sleep.
You know, you look at an airplane ride and like everyone's,
everyone's head goes down and that's fine.
You know, we would put our heads like up backwards, like backwards, you know,
we like that opens up our airways, our airways for some reason, like going chin down like that.
It's not good.
So car seat would, you know, position your head like that hypothetically.
And so there's, there's a lot of things to be,
I don't want to get too much into it because we're not experts and everyone has terrible
things have happened with this.
So it's like everyone has to be aware of it, but it is a sensitive subject.
It is a sensitive, like you do, there has to be a lit with other,
a lot of things with parenting kids with dwarfism and everything.
There are things that you have to pay attention to maybe a little bit more and they're not,
cause it isn't one size fits all.
And, and then you're, you're, you know,
you're people with dwarfism or children with dwarfism aren't that size anyway.
So I will say though, no, I'm going to not criticize you.
Tori is very good.
This is not to do with car seats, but like, for example,
like leveling up on diaper sizes, you know what I'm saying?
Tori like just knew when to level up the diapers for the baby.
And maybe this is like super common, okay.
But I saw some kids and I don't think it is common.
Okay.
Tori was very good at just saying, Hey,
we need to like get them started getting them a size seven.
I'm like, how do you know that?
Like what?
And then sure enough, like we get a size seven.
I'm like, this totally fits.
Like, how do you know?
Like all of a sudden size six does look way too small, you know?
Anyway, same thing with car seats and, and all that stuff.
Like Tori does have a very good intuition to that.
I will say though, also, um, we were very lucky blast.
However you want to say it with, um, when we had Jackson to start,
we were very lucky with like the things that we received, the gifts that we got,
the brands that we got to work with, like all these different scenarios.
And we, we had always gone with Nuna.
This is not an advertisement for Nuna whatsoever, but that was always like,
that was our car seat.
That was our stroller.
That was our bassinet.
Everything that we got was Nuna and that car seat fit our kids so well.
And I've had other moms who have kids with dwarfism that are like,
Hey, I bought this X brand car seat.
And my kid's miserable in the car.
And I said,
I know it's like a very privileged thing to be able to purchase something like that.
Like they're not cheap.
However, this mom purchased it for her twin boys and they were,
all of a sudden the car rides were different.
Purchased the Nuna that we had for our kids.
And so I think that we also lucked out
immensely on a car seat that worked immediately for our kids.
Yeah.
We found the right brand.
We didn't have to go through like, okay, this brand makes them to squish.
This brand is not safe.
Whatever it was, we lucked out and found this brand.
So if you are a mom who has a kid with dwarfism, again,
it's a very big investment because it's not a cheap brand to go with.
However, I swear by those car seats.
Those car seats, we still have them for all three of our kids.
The Nuna was good for us.
But again, everyone has to have their own awareness and what fits for them.
Anyway, that was a very interesting question.
I don't know if Monica,
you are average height and have kids with dwarfism, but that was a cool question.
So thank you.
MGP asked, how do you carve time out to do podcasts?
Do you have a set schedule to do them or is it a random time?
Yeah, we carved out podcast time to like,
it was nap time for the Lila and Josiah and Jackson was at school.
Yes.
That's when we did a lot of our podcasting.
Lately, all the kids have gotten their act together
and they are able to function without napping and we are able to podcast.
We've been able to be a lot more flexible with our podcast times.
Also, our studio, if that's what you want to call it,
where we record is in our house.
And so if anything happens, like we're right here,
but our kids just play in their room.
That's just like the time that they play and Josiah is with our older.
So he's like in a safe environment.
And yeah, right now it's nice because Jackson's not in school.
Jackson is with Si, Lila's playing in her room.
And we can hear everything.
We can hear if there's arguments or something happens.
But yeah, we're not very good at carving out time.
We just randomly do it.
We're just kind of like, our whole team is very aware of that.
Since we've started this, as our kids get older,
we have been able to become more flexible.
Yeah.
Okay.
This one's interesting.
If you went on America's Got Talent,
what would your million-dollar talent be?
I don't know.
Like what would you, what's like your greatest talent?
Like if you did a talent show, what would be your talent?
I'm not very talented.
I know.
I'm actually thinking, I'm like, gosh, I don't know if I have a talent.
Like million, like this has actually a talent that a lot of people can't do.
Yeah.
I don't know if I have one.
I don't know if I have one either.
I could juggle a soccer ball.
Okay.
I was going to say that for you.
Like you're good at that.
I can probably put up 300 juggles off the stuff.
Like a size five ball.
Yeah.
I can probably spit out 300 juggles right now.
See, that's cool.
Most people, I couldn't even do two.
But maybe, I don't know.
But like any basic high school soccer player should be able to do that.
I don't think I have a talent.
USA just lost 4-0 to Switzerland.
So maybe not.
Maybe not.
Why didn't you bring that up in current events?
Why don't we have a political, why can we talk about that?
I know.
A year away from USA hosting the World Cup.
And we're losing to, no offense, Switzerland.
We're losing to Switzerland 4-0.
Yikes.
Not good.
Okay.
But also, this is so off topic.
But the Dodgers just lost 11-1 to the Padres.
Yeah.
What about it?
I thought they were like the best.
Didn't they win the World Series last year?
Okay.
I'm not an expert, but I've become one.
Or I'm learning to become one with baseball.
I feel like baseball, it matters a lot on who's pitching what night.
They play every single day.
You know what I'm saying?
They're so tired.
And so it totally can depend on your pitch count, your pitchers, who's pitching that night.
Yeah, that's true.
And sometimes it's their pitcher.
It could be their best pitcher versus your end-of-the-line pitcher, starting pitcher,
whatever.
You know what I'm saying?
Okay.
These pitchers only pitch once every seven days or something like that.
You're best pitcher, but then you still have six games in between.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
So there's another blowout in the MLB this year where I was like, what the heck?
And I started reading into it.
I think pitching has a lot to do with it.
Who's pitching for both teams?
And you know.
Wow.
I think if anyone wants to educate me more on baseball, feel free.
Okay.
Because I think I'm stuck in this sport for another couple of years.
Jackson loves it.
Okay.
But it's so much fun to watch it with him.
I find myself glued to the TV when he does it.
I said he can watch a little Disney or whatever, and I come in, and he's watching baseball.
I'm like, heck yeah, dude.
Well, okay.
But you have to pay for all of that.
We pay for every subscription under the sun.
And MLB, you have to pay for it.
Oh, yeah.
But you can watch baseball games on Disney+, can you not?
There's recorded games.
But I think they're live.
Oh, I don't think you can watch live games.
There's recorded games, I want to say, on Disney+.
I have no idea.
I was like, we were trying to find one yesterday to watch, and it was like,
oh, you can buy this package for $35.
Yeah, the MLB, everything is so expensive.
Sports has gotten so expensive to watch.
You need...
Silly.
What they say, if you wanted to watch every single NFL game this year, it's...
I don't know, I forgot the number.
It was a lot, yeah.
Thousands of dollars.
Because you have to have six different devices, Paramount, Amazon, and the NFL package.
If you wanted to watch every single game of a particular team, of one team, it was...
That's insane.
But all this TV changing and everything, it's more expensive.
TV, the model of television was so good, and we didn't realize it at the time.
But your top channels subsidized your smaller channels.
It was all packaged in a way where it was affordable.
You got your couple main channels, 2, 4, 6, 12, 8, 10.
Price is Right was on in the morning.
You knew it was going to be on in the morning.
The basic package, you can still watch football, Sunday football, and now it's...
The sports fan is going to hurt the most, though, with this new TV model.
I feel it.
Carry on.
Watch MLB.
Okay, this is from Julie.
If you were spotted in public by a fan, do you like to be spoken to, or do you prefer
to be left alone?
Great question.
I don't mind people saying hi, but yes, if you're asking yourself the question,
prefer to be left alone, I would say.
You're such a grump.
1,000%, I would much rather you say hi.
I want to chat.
I want to say hi, or like chit-chat.
Oh, I want to chit-chat.
I want to know where you're from.
I want to know what you do.
While you're with the kids shopping.
I mean, I guess read the room.
You're right.
Read the room, but no, but then say hi.
Like, if you're with the kids, say hi.
Tori went on one solo shopping trip two days ago, and now she's thinking she wants to have
a chit-chat.
I think when I'm with the kids, yeah, say hi, and just say like...
See, that's what I'm saying.
Just share a thought, but if I'm like chill somewhere, let's chat.
I love chatting.
Kind of gives a wink, or a hi, or hey, love the show, or watch you, or like fan.
We all go about our day, you know what I'm saying?
Especially when we're like at Disneyland, or like a sporting event.
If we're on the move somewhere, yeah, like I can't stop my whole life and talk.
If we're sitting at the airport, and you're across from us, and we're on the same flight,
and we're like, yeah, just chat normally also.
The only type of fans that I get very overwhelmed by,
because even with people that I care very much for in my personal life,
I am not a hugger.
I'm not a toucher.
I have a bubble, and the fans that come up to me that I don't know who you are,
and they hug me, or they try to hug our kids.
Those are the only ones that I'm like, oh, I don't know.
Don't touch me.
Even my best friends, they all know I'm not a hugger.
The hardest thing about fans is there's some fans that just think they know us,
because of how much content we put out.
I get that, but in those moments, you have to realize we don't know you.
We don't know you.
And so when you get offended that we're kind of put offish by your hugging us,
and hugging our kids, and you're coming to realize in that moment,
I'm like, wait, they don't know me.
It's like, yeah, we don't know you, and this is real life here.
Our whole family was together, and I was running into a gas station
to grab water or something like that,
and there was a police officer parked right next to us.
I don't know if you remember this.
This lady, yeah, I hid.
I step out of the car, not three seconds after I closed the door.
This woman in the parking lot yells my name across the parking lot.
Hate that, too.
Don't love that.
When I don't know, she yelled my name,
and this police officer was getting into his car.
She yells my name and comes over.
This police officer steps out of his car,
and she ended up being so kind and sweet,
but it's jolting when you're in a space with your family.
I'm just trying to get some water,
and this lady just came from across the parking lot.
I was like, oh, I don't like that.
I don't love that, because then I'm also like, do I know you?
Do I actually know you?
And you're just like, yeah.
I love, but don't get me wrong.
I like chatting with fans,
but the occasion in public where it's appropriate to chat
is few and far between.
You know what I'm saying?
Well, no, you're such a grabber.
Nine times out of 10, though, say hi.
Nine times out of 10, for sure, say hi,
but don't be offended if I don't have 15 minutes to chat.
Because that is something that is very,
I don't think that the rest of the world
understands that concept.
When I read an article that, you know, I don't know,
like Leonardo DiCaprio is a jerk, okay?
When I read an article that he's,
and I have not read this, I'm just using him
because everybody knows who Leonardo DiCaprio is,
but when I read an article saying that he's a jerk
and that he did something disrespectful, whatever,
I take it with a very,
like you take it with a grain of salt,
because the thing about when you meet,
and we're on a whole different level,
but when we meet fans, I'm always like,
you gotta give them the time of day,
you gotta be kind, because if you're not,
then all of a sudden,
Zach and Tori Roloff are so rude to fans.
I could be having the worst day ever.
My dog just died and I'm in the worst mood
and I'm just trying to get from A to B
and a fan comes up to me and I just say,
not today, then all of a sudden now,
they have no idea what's going on in my life
and behind closed doors, but all of a sudden now,
I'm the B, the mean person, the one who can't,
and that's always been really hard for me to grapple with
when fans do come up and say something,
because I'm like, these people just want to say hi,
they just want to express their gratitude
or their excitement or whatever it is,
so just be kind, but that's hard,
because one day I'm having an off day
and all of a sudden now, I'm the worst.
I have that hard time too.
That's the thing, it's like read the room,
but also that's why I like the quick,
also I don't want you to, anything I do,
I don't want to ruin your perception of me.
Hopefully I enforce it, but I don't want to ruin it
and so therefore it's like the longer we talk,
it's like, I gotta go or I'm with the kids
or something like that, it's a tough one.
And that's, I think every celebrity that I've ever read
is a diva or is this or is that,
and I'm like, I'm sure there's cases that it's true,
but also I'm like, did you just have a bad experience
with them and now you're just trying to tear it down?
Were you being a good fan?
They might've not been a good celebrity in that moment,
but were you being an appropriate fan?
Were you treating them like a person
or were you trying to get something out of them
because you feel like you're owed something?
I don't, what was the question?
I don't even remember what the question was.
We probably only got time for a couple more.
Okay, I'm going to get a spicy one then.
Okay, Stacy asked, have you been back to the farm?
I guess we could also ask when was the last time
we were at the farm?
I think it was a Mateo's birthday.
Did a birthday thing and then before that
it was probably Mateo's birthday.
Yeah, the farm is definitely not a place that we seek out.
We don't go to the farm for, we try to avoid it honestly.
I was really hoping the farm would sell honestly,
like quick because then now it's kind of been dragged out,
but then there's other dynamics too
that have just changed that's like,
there's just no reason to go there.
And I feel like we've said it before on this podcast
that the farm for us is unfortunately
not a happy space anymore.
It's not somewhere that we care to be anymore.
No, there's a lot of, it brings up a lot of resentment
and old feelings that are just like,
this is like, this bubble has been popped
and now it's very difficult to see it.
And it's a cool space, it would be awesome
for our kids to be there, but now it's unrealistic
and it's like, I don't really want our kids
to fall in love with something that's an hour plus away.
Like we're not going to go there every other day,
and it's like, those are choices we made
when we moved up here.
And it's also like, there's certain dynamics
of the farm that haven't changed either.
So it's like, until those change, then yeah,
it's just, and it's all fine.
It's like, what my kids don't know, they don't miss.
It's not fine, but like what my kids don't know,
they don't miss.
But it's also for us, like we've moved,
like I'm not a child anymore too,
so it's not like I miss running around the cowboy town.
But yeah, it's not an ideal spot for us to go
and we'll go over there for birthday parties,
but like, that's about it.
I think though too, I think about our old house
that was in Rock Creek,
the house that we lived in before we lived here.
We've driven past that house a couple of times
and I always had this kind of longing,
sentimental sadness whenever I drive past that house,
but in a different way.
That for me is because that's like
where we brought Lila home from the hospital
and that's where we spent so many happy nights and days
and like our family grew in that house.
And so every time I drive past that house,
it is very sentimental for me.
And I think it's the same with the farm.
Like now it's like,
like I can never go back to that house in Rock Creek,
the same as I can never go back to the farm.
Like that farm is no longer our space.
It's no longer our home.
Yeah, we have really great memories there,
but it's all just memories at this point.
And-
I think we could go back there eventually
if it's still around,
but that's the thing, it's for sale right now.
It's like, it's been for sale for four years.
It's like, it's just a very,
and there's just other things going on that are like-
And I truly in my heart,
I don't think we could go back to that farm
if it was still there in 10 years.
I don't think we could.
I could, that's where I was born.
Really?
Yeah, I could go back there for sure.
But yeah, just, I don't want to get too into it.
It's just right now, it's still just,
I don't need it and my kids don't need it.
And again, it was a great spot,
but it's like, if it's such a great spot,
certain things should be happening that are different,
you know, and they're not.
So therefore, why should I go back
and get attached to it when it's,
that's the whole issue.
Like, it's not like, again, yeah.
And just, yeah, it's just people will say whatever,
but it's like, there's other things,
you know, I'm not going to air out
every piece of dirty laundry, but.
Yeah, okay, well then.
What's another one?
Do you want to end on a spicy one?
Yeah, spicy, do spicy again.
Okay, so Queen of Ziegerland,
not sure what that name is,
but I'm curious about family dynamics.
Ooh, what does that mean?
What's the relationship with the siblings, dad, mom?
It's all right, yeah, yeah.
Molly and me have a pretty good relationship.
Jacob and me.
Molly's the smart one, man.
Yeah, Jacob, yeah, decent.
I would say that there was a lot of very hard dynamics
the last couple of years.
But I feel like right now, currently,
we're at one of the better spaces
that we've been at with your family in Ohio.
Yeah, between the siblings,
things are melting,
and the kids being together helps a lot,
and they all love each other and love hanging out.
And then, yeah, my mom's good.
Yeah, my dad, he comes up.
Your mom's always been good, by the way.
Just shout out to the AR,
because the AR is...
Things were rocky with her for a little bit there.
Were they?
Yeah, with her moving out of the farmhouse
and all that stuff.
Amy's always been solid.
Amy's always been that person that we can call
no matter what, no matter the time of day,
no matter the time of night.
She's always there,
and she's always just been the best grandma ever.
She's so good to our kids.
She's been very consistent with that, yeah.
I feel like I find myself calling your mom
more than I call my mom.
I just...
No, no, no, you're right about that, yeah.
And then my dad, yeah, my dad comes up
and sees baseball games and things like that,
does the Christmas thing.
But it's still...
There's no relationship there.
But I do feel like the siblings,
I feel like all of you have kind of come around,
which is nice.
Yeah, yeah, we're coming.
But we're also just all older now too.
We're all just doing our own thing.
There's one thing about getting older,
it's also what is our relationship look like right now?
It's not gonna look like what it did 10 years ago.
We have different things to talk about.
We're adults now, you know what I'm saying?
So it's also like, is it gonna be what it was?
No, like things change also that are just natural.
But it's definitely, it's melting and it's better.
Yeah, 100%.
So good, good, good.
And then one more.
Okay, well, there was one about Disneyland in here.
So obviously I'm gonna find that one.
Love Tara Marie asked,
if you were a Disneyland food item, what would you be?
Oh boy.
Popcorn, I'd be popcorn.
There's something about Disneyland popcorn
that just hits different.
I have no clue.
What would you be?
You would be like a turkey leg.
Yeah, I'd be a turkey leg.
You'd be something like super substantial
to get you through the day.
Yeah, turkey leg or a hot dog.
Yeah, we are hopefully going to Disneyland over the summer.
Yeah.
If Zach lets us.
Oh boy.
Anyway.
Awesome.
Well, that was a good one.
That was, you should have started with spice and then.
Ended with the other ones?
Yeah.
Oh, well, I don't know.
You gotta make people hang around.
Yeah.
Thank you guys for hanging around for the last 40 minutes.
