Boys and girls, and welcome back to Graceville,
where God's love is everywhere.
It's me, Pastor Anastasia,
and I'm so super duper excited
that you've joined me today
as we learn more about our best friend, Jesus.
Today's special feature comes to us
from right here in the United States,
where my friend Hannah's prepared a beautiful song
to remind us to continue trusting in God.

There you are, I was just on my way to nature time
to check out what Ryan and Taraj are up to today.
I can't wait to find out what we're gonna learn about.
Come along.
Hello, boys and girls,
and welcome again to nature time at Graceville.
Today, Taraj is back again,
and she has another amazing thing to show us.
Let's tune in.
Hi, boys and girls.
I'm Taraj Uris, and we are back for another nature time.
So come on in, everyone.
Nature inspires us in so many ways,
and one phenomenon that garners inspiration is the rainbow.
So here are three facts about the rainbow.
Number one, the order of the rainbow spectrum
is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and gold and violet.
Number two, the rainbow is a reflection
of perfect balance of the physical world.
And number three, the very first rainbow
occurred after the flood with Noah.
Rainbows are a promise from God.
When we see them in the sky today,
we can trust that God will keep his promise
to never flood the whole earth again.
Wow, Taraj, that was amazing.
And if you guys have something to share with us,
tell your parents or guardians
to contact Pastor Anastasia.
Bye, boys and girls, see you next time.
Finally, you're back just in time
to check out what Nico's up to today.
Let's go.
Hey, Pastor Anastasia,
I had a really long week at school.
So what happened?
My school just introduced a new program
called the Buddy Program.
It's where me and my classmates
partner up with the younger kids.
Sounds like fun to me.
It would be if I got somebody who'd listen to me,
but it's like he doesn't trust
that I'm only looking out for him.
If he followed my instructions,
he wouldn't have gotten hurt yesterday playing outside.
Sounds like you have your hands full.
I'm sure your little buddy will grow to trust you more
as he gets to know you better.
It's the same with us and God.
The more time we spend building our relationship with him,
the easier it becomes to rely completely on God.
Wait a minute, that reminds me of our theme for this week,
which simply says always trust in God.
Let me hear my little friend Ariel say it.
Always trust in God.
And our memory verse is found in Jeremiah 17, verse 17.
And it simply says,
blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.
Let me hear my little friend say it.
Jeremiah 17, chapter one.
Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord.
Great job, everyone.
Oh, I get it.
I just have to be a little more patient
so that he can get to know me and trust me.
You got it.
While it's not always easy to trust,
especially when things don't make sense,
we can rest assured that God will never lead us
down the wrong path.
That's why today's story is about someone
who trusted in God,
even when he could not understand God's call
to sacrifice his only son.
Can you guess who today's story is about?
I wonder, was he the same guy
who left his home obediently to go to the promised land?
I think so, you're right.
It is the story of Abraham and Isaac.
That's right, just once in Aviathar,
today's story is about Abraham and Isaac.
After many years of praying and trying,
finally God blessed Abraham and Sarah
with a bouncing baby boy named Isaac.
He was growing very well.
Everything seemed to be right on track
for God to fulfill his promises to Abraham through Isaac
until one night God told Abraham
to do something very strange.
God asked him to sacrifice Isaac.
Wait, what?
Confused, he chose to trust God
even though he did not understand.
So early the next morning,
Abraham and Isaac set out for the mountaintop called Moriah.
When they arrived, Isaac noticed
that they had everything but the sacrifice.
His father assured him that God would provide.
Obediently, Isaac climbed on the altar
but just as Abraham lifted his knife,
the angel of God stopped him from sacrificing Isaac.
Out of nowhere, a rhyme appeared in the bushes.
It was then that God confirmed his promise
to make Abraham the father of many nations
because he faithfully trusted and obeyed God's word.
Whoa, now that's what I call faith.
I wish that I could trust God the same way Abraham did.
You sure can, Nico.
Like Abraham, our faith in God will grow more and more
as we spend time with him and walk in obedience.
So remember, always trust in God.
