Starlight Saddle Club.
Every night when the stars blinked awake and the moon climbed high,
a little clubhouse in the corner of Luna Park shimmered into something very special.
To the rest of the world, it was just an old wooden shed.
But to the Starlight Saddle Club, it was a secret stable for the most magical horses in the galaxy,
Constellation Steves, each born from stardust and named after stars.
And tonight, three kids tiptoed inside,
their pajamas rustling like leaves in the night breeze.
Ready for tonight's mission? whispered Jo,
the brave one with a flashlight clipped to her robe.
Hope it's not another dream delivery to the snore giants, said Amir, yawning.
I brought moonberries, added little Nya, holding a basket.
In case we meet the dream mice again.
The walls of the clubhouse glowed.
One by one, the stables opened.
Out stepped the celestial horses, glowing, graceful, and made of stars.
Lyra, shaped like music in moonlight.
Pegasi, strong and silvery with wings like swirling galaxies.
Orion, tall and quiet, with stars along his mane like a trail of diamonds.
The kids climbed into their saddles.
As soon as they whispered, starlight ride, let's glide,
the horses reared gently, and together, they leapt into the sky.
Shooting Star Mission.
Lost Moonbeam.
The sky stretched wide and sparkling.
Planets hum softly below.
Shooting stars zipped past them like giggles.
Suddenly, a flickering light zipped by, then faded.
That's not a shooting star, said Joe.
That was a lost moonbeam.
They followed the trail.
A ribbon of silver light that ducked and weaved between clouds made of dreams.
Below, they saw a sleepy village tossing and turning.
No dreams are reaching them, Nya said softly.
Without the moonbeam, their dreams can't flow.
They sped after it, dodging giggle comets and sleepy satellites.
There, the moonbeam had gotten tangled in the tail of a cranky comet,
who was growling and spinning too fast.
Hang on, cried Amir.
He guided Pegasi in close, and Joe tossed a lasso made of lullabies.
Together, they gently untangled the beam and tucked it back into the stream of starlight.
Instantly, the sleeping village below sighed in its sleep,
and dream bubbles began to rise again.
Milky Way a thank you from the stars.
The horses danced in the air, leaving trails of constellations behind.
From deep space came a soft voice.
The Keeper of Dreams, a giant star-shaped being with sleepy eyes and a warm smile.
Thank you, riders, it rumbled.
You've saved the dreams of many.
You may each make a wish tonight.
The kids closed their eyes.
Joe wished for courage in the daylight.
Amir wished for more stories to tell.
Nya wished for extra moonberries, always.
The Keeper nodded, and with a gentle wave of his glowing hand, he whispered,
Time to return.
The horses circled down like feathers falling through the sky.
They landed softly inside the clubhouse as the first yawn of dawn touched the clouds.
The stars on their coats dimmed gently, and the stables closed with a sleepy hum.
Joe, Amir, and Nya tucked their wish stones into their pockets and tiptoed home.
As Nya snuggled under her blanket, a single moonberry rolled onto her pillow,
still glowing softly.
She smiled, because tomorrow night, and every night after, the sky would call again.
And the Starlight Saddle Club would ride once more.
