Hi everyone, I'm Nadia and in today's video my mom is going to be sharing a super simple way
to achieve texture in your resin. She has her mold out and ready and for this all you're gonna need
is some liquid latex. She has her liquid latex in a condiment bottle for easy application.
Then she just applies small drops over the whole area of the mold. She's using a silicone makeup
brush and with this you can move around the liquid latex into the shape you want it to be.
And you can continue playing around with the shape of the liquid latex until you're happy
with it and then allow it to dry. And liquid latex can take several hours to dry but you
can also speed up this process by carefully going over the liquid latex with a heat gun.
My mom comes back once it has completely dried and once it's dry it turns into this yellow color.
Then she makes in her resin and in this video she's using craft resin which is a one-to-one
ratio by volume and she also added in a teal alcohol ink. Once she poured the resin into
the mold she makes sure that it reaches the very edge of the mold and she carefully uses a torch
gun to pop any air bubbles. I'll have all the products that you see in this video listed in
my description so if you're interested in giving this tutorial a try be sure to check that out.
And you can also use a wooden stick to help bring stubborn air bubbles to the surface.
She's going to be shaping this into a small bowl so she came back around eight hours later and this
time can vary depending on the resin that you're using and the temperatures that you're working in.
And here she is demolding and now you can just easily remove the liquid latex.
And here's what we're left with. Now she takes a bowl and places her resin piece inside and pushes
it down and then she allows it to continue its hardening process so that it will take on the
shape. And here it is after a day. And here's the final product. Thank you guys so much for watching.
