Boys and girls, and welcome back to Graceville, where God's love is everywhere.
It's me, Pastor Anastasia, and them.
And we're so happy that you've joined us today as we learn more about our best friend, Jesus.
Today's special feature comes to us all the way from right here in the United States,
where our friend, Hannah, has prepared a beautiful song just for us.
Let's listen!
I am a possibility, I am a promise, with a capital P, I am a potentiality.
And I am to hear God's voice, and I am to make the right choice, go, I can be anything you see.
Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts and talents with Jesus,
please ask your parents and guardians to inbox me, and I'd be happy to share it with our friends.
Thanks for all the help, and shout out to the PPEers for their special contributions this week.
You guys are amazing!
Well, I heard some music, or did I hear some music?
That tells me that it's nature time, and I'm so excited,
because you know how it is with our friend Ryan from Canada.
You never know who or what we'll be learning about today.
So, if you want to hear some more about God's creation, you'll just have to come along with me.
Hello boys and girls, and welcome again to nature time at Graysville.
Today, we're going to be talking about complete and incomplete metamorphosis.
Let's tune in!
Insects like butterflies, bees, moths, ants, and beetles go through complete metamorphosis.
Here are the four stages, egg, larva, pupae, and finally adult.
Let's look closer at the larva and pupae stage.
Firstly, larva is the actual caterpillar.
During this stage, the insect eats a lot of food to prepare for the next stage called the pupae.
At the pupae stage, insects do not move around or feed.
This is when they are wrapped up in their cocoons.
Now, let's take a look at incomplete metamorphosis.
Insects like cicadas, grasshoppers, locusts, and cockroaches go through this.
They only have three stages, the egg, the nymph, and finally the adult.
The nymph behaves a lot like the pupa or caterpillar.
They both eat a lot, but here's where they are different.
While the pupae is a caterpillar, the nymph already looks like a miniature or small adult.
The pupae stage is not developed in incomplete metamorphosis.
This is why it is called incomplete.
Philippians chapter 1 verse 6, International Children's Bible version says,
God began doing a good work in you,
and he will continue it until it is finished when Jesus comes again.
I am sure of that.
When we follow Jesus all the way, he will not leave us half done.
We will be changed completely.
Bye, boys and girls.
Thanks for tuning in.
See you next time.
Oh, we're back.
Just in time to check in on Melissa.
I wonder how her week went.
Well, to find out more, you'll just have to come along with me.
Great.
You're here just in time.
In time for what?
My cousins, Cedric and Eric, are fighting over an old iPad, both claiming it's theirs.
I can't figure out who it really belongs to.
What a dilemma.
I know that's a tricky one, but don't fret.
Trust in God for wisdom and discernment.
Wait a minute.
That reminds me of our theme for this week, which simply says, seek God's wisdom.
Let me hear my friend, Zay, who inspired me to wear these really cool ears today, say it for us.
Seek God's wisdom.
And our memory verse is found in James 1, verse 5.
And it simply says, if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously.
Let me hear my friends, Taraj and Tasia in the Bahamas, say it.
The scripture we have for today is, if anyone who lacks wisdom, let them ask God who gives
generously, James 1, verse 5.
Great job, everyone.
I hear you, but isn't God too busy saving the world to solve an iPad problem?
Thankfully, God specializes in problems of all sizes.
That's exactly what the king in today's story discovered
when his prayerful wisdom helped him to resolve a problem between two mothers fighting over
the same baby.
Can you guess who today's story is about?
A king, a dispute, two mothers, and a baby.
This has to be about the wisdom of Solomon, right?
That's right, Bella.
Today's story is about King Solomon.
Solomon was bestowed great wisdom from God.
This wisdom was tested when two women came to him claiming to be the mother of the same
baby.
Tragically, one of their babies died and was switched during the night.
In the morning, the true mother realized what had happened.
Unable to resolve their problem, they went all the way to King Solomon for help.
Wisely, he ordered the living baby be divided in half.
Motivated by love, the true mother revealed herself when she selflessly gave up her claim
to save her baby's life.
Solomon ruled in favor of the compassionate mother.
From that day forward, word spread far and wide of the wisdom of Solomon.
Wowzers, Solomon was so wise.
If only I had enough wisdom to end my cousin's fight.
Actually, he was the wisest man ever.
And the good news is God has plenty more to share.
So, let's seek God's wisdom together.
