Welcome back to Graceville, where God's love is everywhere.
It's me!
Pastor Anastasia, and I'm so super duper excited
that you join me today as we learn more about our best friend, Jesus.
Today's special teacher comes to us all the way from Florida,
where our friends Michaela, Chloe, and Pam
will prepare a beautiful song just for us.
Let's listen in!
Whisper of prairies in the morning
Whisper of prayer at noon
Whisper of prairie lead me
To keep your heart in tune
Answers prairie in the morning
God answers prayer at noon
God answers prayer in the evening
So keep your heart in tune
Amazing!
Boys and girls, remember, if you want to share your gifts or talents for Jesus,
please ask your parents or guardians to inbox me,
and I'll be happy to share with our friends.
That's a sound I love to hear.
It's Nature Time, and it is always so much fun.
You never know what cool and exciting things we're going to learn about
with our friend Ryan from Canada.
So let's tune in!
Hello, boys and girls, and welcome again to Nature Time at Graceville.
Today, we're going to be talking about capybaras.
Let's tune in!
Capybaras are the biggest rodents in the world and can weigh up to 145 pounds.
In fact, the largest capybara weighed 201 pounds.
These mammals have teeth that keep growing like mice.
They gnaw on tree bark, grass, along with fruits and veggies.
They also eat their own poop because it contains bacteria that help them break down cellulose.
Capybaras are native to South America and prefer to live near water.
They can actually sleep in the water while keeping their noses above the surface.
If they dive, they can stay underwater for five whole minutes.
Capybaras make good pets because they're friendly.
They live peacefully with other animals, even allowing them to rest on them.
Hebrews 12, verse 14a says,
Try to live in peace with all people.
Boys and girls, let's be peacemakers and show kindness to everyone.
Bye, boys and girls. Thanks for tuning in. See you next time.
Now, that's interesting.
And we're still on track to check in with our friend Melissa.
Let's find out how her news is.
Guess what, Pastor Anastasia?
I have the best news ever!
Really? Tell me more!
Well, I did what you asked me to do the other day.
I prayed to God that He would heal my dog Zuma instead of stressing,
and now he's totally okay like nothing ever happened.
Now that's what I call a testimony!
And it's the perfect reminder that we can go to our prayer answering God
for anything, everything is important to Him.
Wait a minute! That reminds me of our theme for this week,
which simply says, God still answers prayers.
Let me hear Zay say it.
God still answers prayers.
And our memory verse is found in Job 22, verse 27.
And it simply says, You will pray to Him and He will hear you.
Let me hear my friend say it.
You will pray to Him and He will hear you.
Job 22, 27.
Great job, everyone!
I'm so excited! I want to tell everyone about how God answers prayers.
Go right ahead!
Everyone needs to be reminded that God is concerned
and listens to His children's prayers.
Even when we don't know the words to say,
God still hears the prayers of our heart.
That's why today's story is about a woman whose silent prayer for a child
was heard and answered by God.
Can you guess what today's story is about?
A silent prayer?
That means she prayed in her heart.
Oh, so who was it?
Today's story is about Hannah.
That's right, my friends. Today's story is about Hannah.
That day, Hannah and her husband, Elkanah, traveled all the way to the temple.
But she wasn't happy.
She was really sad because she was barren.
And to make matters worse, her rival, Penina, had many children.
What was Hannah to do?
In desperation, she entered the temple to pray.
Her eyes welled up with tears,
and only her lips moved as she prayed silently in her heart.
When the priest Eli saw her, he thought she was drunk.
Quickly, she explained the reason for her pain.
Filled with compassion, Eli reassured her that God had heard and answered her prayers.
Immediately, her heart filled with peace
as she went home to await the fulfillment of answered prayers.
Wowzers! As a child, it's so comforting to know that God answers prayers,
even the ones we don't say out loud, like Hannah.
He sure does.
And I'm so thankful that not only does God hear us,
but just like Hannah, He's still answering our prayers.
