It's me Pastor Anastasia and I'm so super duper excited that you've joined me today as we learn more about our best friend Jesus. Oh hey there you are right on time for nature time with our friend Ryan from Canada. It's always such an extra special treat. You never know who or what we're gonna be learning about today. So to find out some more about God's amazing creation you'll just have to come along Hello boys and girls and welcome again to nature time at Graceville. Today we're going to be talking about sargassum seaweed. Let's tune in. Sargassum is a type of seaweed that does not attach itself to the seafloor like kelp. On its large round leaves are berry-like clusters that are filled with gas. This is how the sargassum floats. Sargassum is an important habitat for many types of fishes and turtles in the ocean but has become a problem for many countries because it grows to large amounts and traps fishing nets, large fish, and turtles. It also washes up on beautiful beaches. Also when it decays it gives off a bad smell that turns people away. However many countries are learning how to put it to good use. Some have found that it can be used as fertilizer, fuel, and even help keep soil keep water in longer. Some use it to feed their livestock while others use it to make tea and the list goes on. When the leaves lose their ability to float in the ocean the sargassum sinks to the seafloor where the fish and other deep sea creatures feed on their nourishing leaves. Its end is very important for the ecosystem. Second Corinthians 5 15 says Christ died for all so that those who live will not continue to live for themselves. He died for them and was raised from death so that they could live for him. Jesus gave up everything so that we can live. Bye boys and girls. Thanks for tuning in. See you next time. I totally understand your concern but the truth is we never lose with God. Even if his plans are different from ours, God's plans are always better than anything we could imagine for ourselves. Wait a minute. That reminds me of our theme for this week which simply says God's ways are always best. Let me hear my friend Zay say it. God's way is always best. And our memory verse is found in Jeremiah 29 11 and it simply says I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Let me hear my friend Amir say it. For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Jeremiah 29 verse 11. Great job everyone! It sounds like you're saying that I shouldn't be afraid to trust God even if he leads me down an unknown path. Most definitely. God's way is always best. That's why today's story is about a man who turned from what he was doing to accept God's call to become a great leader and deliverer of his people. Can you guess who today's story is about? Oh is this one of a burning bush? Burning bush is of Moses. See you next time. That's right Jeremy. Today's story is about Moses. Even though Moses enjoyed a happy life of privilege as the son of Pharaoh's daughter he was not content because the Egyptians enslaved his fellow Israelites. So he devised a plan to deliver them. Many years had passed since the ill-fated day Moses's crime of murder became known to everyone. Far away from Egypt Moses started a new life as a shepherd. His escape plan seemed to be going well until one day he saw the strangest thing. A burning bush. Never did he imagine that his entire life would change for the better by simply turning aside from what he was doing to answer God's call. By accepting God's plan for his life he became the great leader and deliverer who rescued all the Israelites from the cruelty of slavery. Wowzers! Moses became such a great leader. Just think he could have missed out on all of that if he allowed his fears to get the best of him. Lord please help me be brave enough to follow your lead. Amen and because God's way is always best we can safely follow him with confidence.
