I Discovered The forgotten Viking Spear Bows
Once, spear-equipped bows were widespread in Denmark. The old spear bows were excavated in 1859, but then disappeared — until now! Lars Andersen has found them, and together with experts, he is testing these forgotten but deadly weapons.
Sometimes I mess up !!!
I made my new spear bow video using an AI voice — I thought it would make things extra clear.
Turns out… it made things extra annoying instead
Lots of kind people let me know it just didn’t work, and that they’re tired of AI videos (and honestly, I agree).
So — the video was taken down and is now reborn in the version you asked for:
With my own “Danlish” English, 100% AI-free, and yes — all other AI elements are gone too. This version is fully human.
My friend Jens has spent several days trying to get me to speak understandable English —
and with his heroic effort (and my stubborn accent), it only took a week to finish this version
The forgotten spear bows are way too exciting to be ruined by robot voices and digital weirdness!
Thanks for all the honest feedback and support — I really appreciate it.
Are spear bows Viking weapons, pre-Viking weapons, or something else entirely?
It’s an entertaining discussion — quite a few scientists and researchers don’t even believe the Viking Age exists as a concept, and some argue it should have started much earlier.
The same Danes in longboats who once used spear bows and attacked Nydam would, a few hundred years later, become Vikings — without even knowing it. And no one knows whether they continued using spear bows.
A much longer version of this video is coming, with many more details.
I chose to use the word “Viking” in this video because I’ve discovered something exciting that will be covered in the longer video — something that at least makes the discussion about whether this was a Viking weapon much more complicated and entertaining.
