In this episode of DBH Unplugged, David brings us into the town of Chichicastenango after a bumpy ride in on the local 'chicken bus'. Known for their large covered markets, David takes us on a colorful tour through the vendors selling clothes, backpacks, art, fruit, veggies, textiles and more, with a few tips on haggling with the local sellers. Take a walk through the town's history alongside the murals painted on the market walls, or simply wander the lanes of endless shopping for a great local experience. If you feel the pangs if hunger, stop at the local Atole vendor, where you can try some of the traditional hot corn beverage that will definitely hold you over until your next meal. Visit this 16th Century market any day of the week, or visit Thursday and Sunday to check out its nylon market.
