With the new Arma trucks, you may be wondering, Kraton or Talion? Well,
it's pretty obvious just sitting here. The Kraton is more basher, the Talion is more racer. Now,
the Talion is sold as a 1.7, as where this is sold as a 1.8. That might cause some issues if
you try to put them on a track with your local sanctioning body. Regardless, I mean, this right
here, it's just flat out race, man. This right here, you can race and rip backflips. The larger
tires on it are easier to zip backflips, all that stuff like that. That is a big deal right there.
I do like the Kraton. This does have the body, clipless body on it, and that's okay, but man,
that can also be a pain to get out when it gets dusty. This one, they simply kept the body clips.
Simple, easy, reliable. We're going to take them out, give them a little run,
bash around a little bit, just to get a feel for both of them side by side,
and both of them will be running 6S. This does still have the speed pinion in it.
This one still has the stock pinion. Hey, let's go. To kick this off now, I'm going to go over
some of that wheelbase, tire size, all that. The Kraton is going to stand up is where the
tie-in is just simply going to go. Me and Clayton are driving. So, Clayton, ready?
Yeah, ready.
Set, go. I think the Kraton got you there. Did the tie-in come up?
I don't think it did.
I don't think it did. All right. All right. Just you and the tie-in. Hit it real quick.
Just the tie-in. Just throttle that thing. That's what I thought there. Okay. Now, mine.
So, much more... Oh, almost got you.
I know. I was watching.
So, Kraton with the large tires is a much better basher, or when you want to just get out and
race some cane on the track. Now, he will be able to throttle his up if he can stay on the track.
He will be able to throttle that one up and it'll stick and actually go right.
As for this one, I throttle it up. It's just simply going to wheelie.
I'll get used to it again.
Come on. Hit the ramp right. There you go. Now, Kraton right here, watch this.
You're not going to be able to pull that with the tie-in. Now, you can put the larger tires
on the tie-in and might be able to get it with this speed pinion. Oh yeah, dude,
we still got that speed pinion. Yeah, it still does. We got to watch the temperatures on that.
So, the tie-in is still geared up for 70 plus miles per hour as where the Kraton has a stock
pinion gear. Nice jump right there. Oh, I hit that dirt on the backside. I forgot about that.
Let's go do some flight testing. As we're heading over, flight control with the Kraton is going to
be a lot better. The tie-in in stock form, the stock pinion gear has a little bit of flight
control, but with the bigger pinion gear, it definitely has flight control to it.
So, Clayton, give us a nice simple send here, buddy.
Full send or half send?
Well, just send it. Let's see. Nice flight right there. Now, I'm going to try mine here.
See, as stunt driving, this Kraton is just where it's at. I hear that one's starting to cog a little
bit. It's probably already getting hot. You should be able to rip a back flip with that one with the
big pinion gear in it, Clayton. Okay, I'll try. Oh my God, dude, we're going to be making it into
that track. If not, I'll have to move the ramp closer. We're both on 6S, so... All right,
ready? Yeah, I'm ready.
Coming up just a little short. Do you think we might need to move the ramp forward?
I think a little bit. Maybe about three feet, but then we'll call it. What we're doing is
we're also testing for a basher event in which we're going to have a long jump contest right
here, and we're kind of wanting to get them into that, into the track. All right, Clayton,
let's see if we can not break something. Okay. We're going to try it at the same time. Oh boy.
All right. As long as you don't hit me, because I drive perfect, okay? Yeah. Ready? Go.
Oh, pinion's off. Yeah, since we swapped pinions, man, having a heck of a time with
pinions on the Talion. So anyway, I think we got to see what we needed to see.
So if we're general bashing, I think that Clayton's where it's at.
If you want something you might can squeeze into the 1.8 race class,
you may be able to get that Talion in there. Nice. Yeah, Clayton, I think we're going to
move it just for a little bit more. Oh yeah. Just because I want to.
And there you go. Now on the launch, it was fully predicted. This right here stayed flat.
This right here did a nice backflip right into it. Came back around solo. He did spin out,
but it stayed flat. The front never even lifted, which is really good for a race situation. You
don't want the raising front for backflips. For fun, you want the backflips. Now you can take
the larger tires and put on here and that'll change everything about it. You will get backflips
and all that. I think we're going to have to try that. Just take these monsters off, put on here
and see what we got with that. Also with this being on a 23 tooth, maybe we should gear down
for next video. See if that'll help at all. You think so? I mean, it did get a little bit hot
once we finished the jumps. Yeah. You said the bottom of the chassis and all was cooking pretty
well. So yeah, we'll definitely drop that pinion down to 18 on there. On the test track around and
all that, this right here has so much more potential because the front stays down. But
I do think this would benefit from a gyro. I'm not sure why it doesn't have one out of the box,
to be honest with you. The little orange dot, this should have had a steering gyro or the ABC
right out of the box. But the Creighton was on this radio right here and I don't know that it
has a gyro on it. But regardless, then we went to the jumps and this right here clearly jumped
further. Partly because it was able to keep the front down and launch. This right here was much
more spectacular though, man. Got double backflips way out there. We're going to move that ramp a
little closer so we can land right in that berm. But man, if we come up short, then it's like
right into a wall. Oh, that's going to hurt. Yeah. But we'll see on Sunday when we let everybody else
hit it. But anyway, Clayton, anything you'd like to say about these two guys right here?
Well, it all depends on your type of driving. If you want to go fast, go on the track and
beat some people, pick a talent. If you're out there to hoon around,
jump, do massive backflips, Creighton all day long. You can't beat it. I agree. Except for the
Notorious. Well, the Notorious is just a... Dude, I think we don't have the big jump anymore. I've
done like six backflips. Didn't you get six backflips with a Gorgon? Yeah, with my...
With your Vortex. Yeah, the Vortex. Vortex. Yeah, because he will drive. I got six.
You got a six backflip with that thing on 4S though with the Quake tires. Quake tires. Yeah,
I'm looking at my Quake sitting up there. But anyway, we're going to get into that later on.
You guys have a great day and stay tuned because I think I'm going to put a gyro receiver in here
and maybe the ISXR because I can do that with a 6200 receiver and make it do all kinds of
wonderful things because it is a smart system. You guys have a great day. If you're still watching,
you are top shelf. You are the cream of the crop, the pick of the litter. You are phenomenal. Thank
you for watching to the end of the video. It means a lot to me. Now, down below, there are links for
the products you see. Also, for channel memberships, if you guys want to be a part.
Channel members get early viewing on pretty much everything that I can. So,
guys, check that description. There's a lot of info down there. Thank you all for watching.
