Welcome back to the channel. Today we are doing something a little bit different. You probably
already saw the title and thumbnail, but tonight we're going to take our cat Sasha tank camping.
One of my goals this summer is to actually get Sasha on at least one backpacking trip.
We're camped right outside the Sierra Mountain Range. Hopefully you enjoy this video. Thanks
for being here. Appreciate you as always. Hit the subscribe button before we get into it.
But wow, what a place. The sun's actually about to go down, so pretty stoked on that. We've been
running the AC in the van for the last couple hours, so happy to have that out here for sure.
This is my ideal version of tent camping. I went tent camping for the first time as an adult
last summer, so this is kind of like my comfort zone. We're right near the van. We have our cozy
little tent set up, but I don't have to bring... what are those called? Sleeping pads? I hate...
I hate a sleeping pad. Oh, hello. And here she is, the star of the show.
So Lula will not be coming on our little overnight just because she does not love
these kinds of adventures. We would never force her to do anything just for the sake of content,
so she will have a cozy little night in the van, and Sasha will have all the thrills. Part of that
is just knowing your cat, and this little lady, she's not really one for the adventure, you know?
Honestly, I can relate. She's hanging out. Oh god. Easy now. What are you doing in there?
You all ready for bed? Ready to go to bed? I will say I think one of the ways to tell if your
cat would maybe enjoy tent camping, or maybe to get them used to tent camping, would be to get
a tent like we have over there. Lula's actually in that tent right now, and they are in that tent
all the time when we're just traveling and outside. So they're very used to like being
in this kind of space, so I think that's why she's so used to it, and she just hops right in because
I think she just thinks it's like basically the same thing. She loves it. We do have to put the
rain fly on when she goes to sleep so that she doesn't stare out all night because she gets way
too excited, but for now she can have the tent. You getting excited about something? Come on.
Over here. You're gonna come out this way. Come on. Right here. This way. Come on. Let's go.
Come on. Yeah, we'll be in there all night. Let's go. Come on. Come on.
Come on. Let's go see what daddy's making. Come on. Let's go see what he's making. Yeah. Come on.
Menu tonight, we have ramen from World Market. Oh, they're good. Thank you.
She would like to see that one too. You want to see this one? Same thing. Bless you.
Bless you. We got these cool little lights from Night Eyes. These are awesome. They kind of just
like, I actually don't know how they work, but how do they work? Baby, how do these work?
And they just turn on like that. How cute are those?
So I'm going this way or that way? Oh my gosh. I need to stop doing that.
Oh, it's boiling. It's boiling. What? Yeah. For dessert here, we got this blueberry peach crisp.
No, she's leaving us. She's leaving us. Oh, good night, Chunka. Good night, Chunka.
My bougie girl who doesn't want to sleep in a tent. No tent camping for you? You're not a
I'm not sure how good that's looking here. Might be going for something else.
Perks of having the van. Is that a spy?
Why are you still eating? Because it cost nine dollars. Fair.
In the tent. Oh, we forgot pillows. She's doing great. She loves the tent. I just feel like she's
a dog. She's not a cat. She's just very comfortable in places like the tent. Yeah, people are always
like, how did you train your cat to do that? And it's like, we didn't. She just did it. She just
does it. Looking for bugs? Yeah, she likes to hunt bugs in the tent. That's good for your cat. Get
them all. I guess we're just going to hang out for a while. She's ready for sleep. She's a sleepy
girl. You take off your jacket. So for the nighttime, we have her wear this. This is a
night eyes, little disco collar. We call it her disco collar because it lights up like that.
But it's just a light up collar, which is really nice. And it's trimmable so it can fit anything.
Then for trackers, we have an air tag here. And then this is the tractive six mini. This is like
a newer tracker, but it fits around her neck really nice. And it has a little exercise and
sleep stats on it. So it's super cute. We're going to watch her show. She's going to sit down there.
I don't know what she's doing. Look, she's getting comfy. Season four. Let's go, James.
What does love mean to you? Oh, that's good. Yes, James.
Sasha's all settled in. She's in between us here. We're headed to bed.
She's so cute.
Big prayers coming from her. A little windy. A little wind coming in. But good night. We'll
see you in the morning. Good night. Little missy excited to camp. Look how cute she is.
She loves to camp. She's ready. Oh, those are some loud purrs. Those are some very loud purrs.
Sasha slept really well. She woke up at around 4am. Yeah, she kind of just sat down in the end
for a while, looking around. And then around 5.30 she was like, okay, I'm officially ready.
She loves the tent. A slow start to the morning. Jump, jump, jump. Come on.
Come on, girl.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Ready? Shake, shake. Good shake. So I taught Sasha shake,
and now it's like pretty much the only trick she wants to do for treats. She always is just reaching.
Ready? Shake, shake. Thank you. Work your way down. Come on, over here. Down. Right here.
Good girl. Gotta show her the way. I have a little trunkle buck on her way out. Where is she?
There she is. There she is. The girl. How was your night? How was your big night? Go ahead,
jump down. Wow. Hi, girl. Come on. So one thing about Lula is that she really hates to be on a
leash. Sasha never minds the leash. She has never cared about the leash. Lula absolutely cannot put
up with the leash. Hi. Hi. Oh, she's so beautiful. Did you hold it down? Did you want to come
and give me two? Look at her. Drama. Drama. She can't do anything while she's on leash.
Oh, oh. That's it? Okay. Go ahead. Just a little mat visit.
I cannot even begin to express how nice it was to sleep on our van cushions over like a blow-up
camping mattress. I just find this to be so uncomfortable. We had a 79 sleep score last
night. It said shorter than ideal, but restorative. And my body battery is at 96.
As much as I would love to just sit here and enjoy this, we actually have, or I have an
appointment like four hours from here. So we need to break down camp and start heading that way.
Thank you guys for watching that video. I know it was a little different than what we normally do,
but if you think Sasha did a good job tank camping, go tell her that in the comments down
below. Make sure you're subscribed to the channel so you don't miss any future videos and go ahead
and like this video and we'll see you in the next one. Bye. Baby cat, you did such a good job, baby.
Did such a good job.
