Dating back to the 1st century A.D., visitors can walk around the eerie ruins of this forgotten urban center, with its crumbling walls, ancient scripted stones and sprawling atrium (the central courtyard of the governor's house). Built atop an ancient Thracian settlement, this historic site is a unique glimpse into Bulgaria's rich Roman history.
