Aladzha Rock Monastery - Bulgaria

Located just under 20 kilometers outside the city is one of Bulgaria's most interesting national monuments and open-air museums: the Aladzha Rock Monastery. Dating back to the 10th century, this medieval monastery is cut directly into the hill's limestone rock, reaching up to 40 meters high in some places.
