What is up everybody and welcome back to another testing video.
As you read in the title, I was able to get a pair of the Nike Mercurial Superfly Regen FGSC SE
CR7. Before I get these out of the box, try them on, give you guys my honest opinion on them. If
you guys are liking this type of content, make sure you go down, subscribe to the channel,
like the video, and comment down below what boots you want to see me play test next.
Let's start off with the box. I am not going to lie, this box is a little underwhelming. This
being such a really cool remake, I just think when it comes to remakes, Nike kind of lacks
on the special edition boxes. But let's take a look at these. Oh my gosh, look at that. Oh,
that upper is soft. I didn't originally have the ones that, oh wow, oh wow. I just took this
paper piece that they keep inside the boots and yo, this upper is just so soft. But I was saying,
I didn't originally have the Superfly ones. I mean, these technically didn't release to the
because they were having some durability issues where the boot was just blown out. So CR7 in a
select few wore them. And it also comes with a boot bag as it should with a $300 football boot.
Oh wow, it's quite literally just a black boot bag. Nothing crazy. Nice, straight to the point.
I think it really goes well with the boots as it should. But wow, first impressions, I mean,
these look like an OG Superfly or OG Mercurio. The heel area has like almost little to no padding.
The material on it does feel a bit grippy though. And I don't know if you guys have seen,
but Ronaldo obviously was wearing these and the heel area on the specific pair he was wearing
almost looked like collapsed. Now that I have them in hand, I don't understand why it was looking
like that. I mean, he's probably been wearing them for a minute, but I don't see that actually
happening with these boots that I have. And this is also my first ever pair of football boots that
have like this fly wire. And I think what the fly wire is meant to do is just provide that extra bit,
like the slightest bit of just lockdown or like stability, especially on the side.
But let's get these slipped on. Let's see. Let's see. Okay. These just look pretty freaking sick.
Okay. Okay. Yeah. I'm not going to lie. That is a lot softer than what I was expecting.
Because normally when you think like a RetroBrew or a RetroBrew remake, like the boots back in the
day, don't get me wrong. They had like, let's just call it aura, aura, but my gosh, did they
destroy your feet? That feels pretty comfortable. I'm not going to lie. And the upper on these
gives off like a plasticky shine to it. Okay. Let's just take like a moment of silence to
admire how good these look because holy cow. All right. First initial impressions with literally
just walking around in them. They squeak a lot. Now I did see somebody say that they actually
really do like that squeak because the OGs did that. And just the Teijin material on top of the
boots gives off like that plastic squeak. I guess I shouldn't be calling it plastic because let's
call it like a premium plastic. As always, let's get the first touch in. Let's see how these feel
on the ball. Okay. I didn't really get too much from there. Oh, wow. Oh, that is a lot grippier
than what I was expecting. I don't know why I thought this ball was just going to like start
sliding off of the boots, but the upper actually has like some decent like padding to it and also
grip. That actually feels really nice. These outer bits are sticking out. I really love how these
boots have this extra lace hole back here. Lacing them up in this lace hole would just almost
eliminate that like little extra bit that's just sticking out, which honestly, I don't mind at the
moment. But wow, this upper, man, I'm actually super surprised with how much I'm liking it
just because in photos, like I feel like I've already said this too much in this video,
but they almost give off like, oh, this is just going to be like a piece of plastic just on top
of your boot. And like I said, I never owned the originals. So having this nice grippy touch on
the ball while at the same time, it feeling like pretty nicely padded is just, it's very satisfying.
Now, yes, as you can see, these are FG football boots and no, they are not making an AG version,
at least from what I know. And I highly doubt that they are. I've already used this FG sole
plate before on the Vapor 16s because that's what the current gen Vapors have or even Superflys.
In my opinion, the sole plate is pretty aggressive. Oh, wow. That strike was like an
absolute miss, but that felt very, very good. But like I said, I'm already used to the sole plate
and I originally wasn't the biggest fan of the air zoom unit that these have at the bottom there,
but I actually like, don't really mind it now. It gives a very nice like pep to your step
and it almost feels like it's like pushing you forward to go faster because I mean,
these are speed boots, which I by no means, I'm saying that these make you faster. I'm just
saying that it feels like it's making you faster. All right, let's hit top right. Touch.
Bottom right, I guess. Okay. I'm going to say these flywire cables are actually really nice.
The boots themselves overall feel very soft because of this upper, but the flywire cables
are really just like bringing the boot in and providing that extra lockdown right here,
wherever they're placed. I mean, there's some in the back too, but this definitely feels more
locked into your foot than the Superfly 10s that are out right now with the grip knit upper,
which the grip knit upper is just amazing as well. But these are just, they're just something else.
Like, I don't know. Wearing these is just giving me the feels that I can hit this top right. No
problem. That would have been so cool if I hit that. Now the originals, I do believe featured
a carbon fiber plate on the sole plate. These mimic that, like it has a carbon fiber or a
carbon fiber material that's been added, like right where the air zoom unit is. When I originally
saw that, I thought it was going to be like a gloss finish, kind of like the regular current
gen Superflys already have. These like legitimately a replica of carbon fiber, but it's just not carbon
fiber because that snapback that you get is just that air zoom unit right under it. All right,
top right again. I said again, but I haven't hit it. Oh man, these are genuinely something else.
Okay. Okay. And I just felt it going to get the ball and coming back. But as I expected with these
older generation remakes, this heel area, um, isn't as padded as current gen models are. And because
of that blisters and I'm feeling some hotspots right here on both sides of my heels or both
heels on the same side. And I know like if I were to do the training video today and have a full
blown out training session, I would probably have to take these out halfway through just so my heels
don't blister. That could be something that could easily go away with break in time. Obviously like
we don't know yet. These literally just came out. This is my first time trying, trying them on.
We'll get a real test in the one month review of these, but like, which is weird is like, I I'm
feeling those pressure points, but at the same time, the heel area has like almost the perfect
amount of grip to keep your heel there because I'm not feeling too much slippage and it's just
genuinely like really soft. All right. Let's see if we can hit a good one. Let's try that again.
Nice and slow. I'm not going to do the suey, but it was pretty decent. I'm going to be honest with
you guys. I'm actually so surprised with how comfortable these feel. Um, I was expecting a
lot more pressure points and what I'm feeling like my normal pressure points on boots are the
outside here because I have relatively wide feet, but no, this upper is just so soft. I kind of wish
this was the upper that's on the current gen vapers and super flies, but I will say like the back end
of the boot feels a bit bulky. And I was kind of already expecting that because when they made the
super flies or sorry, the remakes for the hypervenoms, it was the same thing. Like this
back part just felt bulky. And I feel like that's almost every remake because with the current gen,
like super flies and vapors, this bit right here is just like super thin, but by no means is that
bulky area uncomfortable. If anything, like it just gives off like OG vibes, which I'm totally here
for. And speaking of OG vibes, uh, you know, Ronaldo hit some absolute bangers with free kicks. So
we're going to try and recreate that. I'm going to give myself five attempts to try to hit that top
right. And you guys know, like, I don't know why I give myself five attempts because all I need is
one. Cause I mean, top right is right there, right? Like how can you miss it again? Again?
I mean, it was on target, right? Last one. Absolute banger. Let me give you my final
thoughts. Alrighty. As always my final thoughts on the Nike Mercurial super fly one region
special edition CR seven. Holy cow. These are nice. I am not going to want to do the one month
review of these because I actually like from the 30 minutes I just played in them. Oh my gosh. Like
red is my favorite color. As you probably have not noticed. And just the silver on the red and
the Nike swoosh. It's just like, it's just so nice. And apart from that, like the boots in general
just feels so good. This upper just feels so nice, but I am curious to see how the grip stays
on a wet pitch. And as far as sizing, I went for my true to size and Nike, which is a size 10 and
a half us. And I highly recommend it, but oh my gosh, am I surprised with how much I actually
liked these? And I say that because I just honestly didn't know what I was getting myself
into. Cause I've never tried the originals and having them now in hand as the remakes is just so
nice. And I'm so happy that I was able to get a pair, which I'm hoping you guys were able to get
a pair because if I'm being honest, this special release was definitely special, but I feel like
it wasn't as limited as the hypervenoms were. So like these were a lot easier to get, in my opinion,
they were available within like five minutes after release. Now I can't say the same with the actual
Nike website, because I tried to get them on the Nike website and they sold out literally within
like five, 10 seconds, like all the sizes were gone. So I think Nike absolutely nailed it with
the amount of these that they made, because obviously they're limited. So only a certain
amount was made, um, to where enough people, well, if you really wanted to get them, like you got a
But gosh, these are so nice. Like even just in the 30 minutes that I played with them,
this upper just got even more softer. That's actually insane. I'm excited and curious to see
how durability is going to last with these, especially with this upper going into the one
month review, but, uh, stay tuned for the playtest video. It's going to come out very soon. And then
obviously the one month review, like close to a month after this video goes live. Um, and also
let me know down in the comments, if you were able to get a pair, like, like I said, if you really,
really wanted to get a pair, I think like there was enough availability for you to get a pair.
But also if you like this type of content where you see me, a boot collector, football, soccer
content creator, review boots, give my honest opinion and showing you the details and specs
about football boots. If you like that, subscribe to the channel because that's what I do. And while
you're down there, make sure you like the video. And with that being said, I'll catch you guys in
the next one. Peace. Oh man. I just like want to lay down and look at these all day. They look
so sick. Let's try that again. Oh man. Also it's about like thunderstorms. So I'm hoping
I don't get caught up because then my camera's going to get wet.
