Why? A Palm Sunday Message based on Luke 19:1-11

Palm Sunday, the day of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. The day that the crowds were crying out, “Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.” It was also the day that the Jewish people were looking to Jesus for deliverance. Except the were for the wrong kind of deliverance. They were looking for an earthly kingdom instead of the spiritual kingdom Jesus was offering.
There are many questions that may come to mind as we consider not only Palm Sunday, but all the events that took place during that week often referred to as Holy Week. In this message, Pastor Rick will focus on some of those questions.
In order to explore the answer to those questions, we are going to go back to a different passage than the typical Palm Sunday text, yet a familiar passage to most. We want to consider the account of Zacchaeus. In this account we find the answer to the question, “Why?"
