Hi I am David Hoffmann, from Davidsbeenhere.com and today I want to introduce you to the world’s first wearable multi-tool… TREAD by Leatherman. If you are an avid traveler like me, or you prefer to be prepared for the unexpected, this is the product for you!
TREAD is a simple addition you can make to your everyday life that will make things a lot easier than carrying around a knife tool, which isn’t permitted everywhere. It’s great for opening bottles, quick fixes at home, even removing the tiny sim card from your iPhone.
Unlike knife tools, the TREAD is TSA approved. I’m always traveling so I need something that I can take through security and on the plane. There’s also a glass breaker, a vital safety tool for anyone doing a road trip (especially in Florida where I’m from there’s water everywhere).
Since you wear it, it’s always with you when you need it, no matter where in the world you are. At first glance it doesn’t look like a multi-tool, just a sleek steel bracelet. It’s made of corrosive-resistant 17-4 stainless steel, the same kind you find in aircraft parts.
It comes in stainless steel and black. The links are removable to fit any wrist. I customized my TREAD to have the links I use the most while I’m on a shoot in different locations. I use it all the time for my camera equipment. It’s also the perfect gift for the outdoorsy traveler who likes to camp, hike, sail, bike, or ski.
