In this week’s episode, a Singapore apartment named In a Park is reimagined through the quiet memory of neighbourhood parks. Designed for a couple who love plants and cooking, the home draws from the familiar texture of double bullnose brick, reinterpreted to bring nature into everyday living. Rather than treating greenery as decoration, it is woven into the spatial experience, creating a home that feels open, calm and closely connected to its surroundings.

We rely on information that many people in Singapore might remember.
from the older area's park, namely Dabobunas Brick.
The idea is to combine the feeling of being inside a garden.
and bringing the atmosphere into the house.
It is something that is slowly disappearing from the city.
Yet it has a calm nostalgia.
And then we wanted to explain that memory and bring it into the house in a new way.
This house was built for a couple who love plants and cooking.
They have lived in this house for many years.
But over time, their plants began taking over this space.
A word from the homeowner who lived with us,
He said,
I like plants, but I'm not proud of them.
The rest becomes the starting point for creation.
where circumstances are not merely ornaments,
but the living presence written in their daily lives.
From the moment you walk into the house,
This room opens quite slowly.
The handling of the materials is warm and calm.
And the plant collection inside soon becomes part of an extraordinary experience.
The intensity is intended to create a concise feeling of being within a garden.
but still inside the house tomorrow.
The bedroom is located right above the fully moving floor.
I am truly interested in how this moving surface works.
Interacting with natural daylight throughout the day.
As the sun moves through this space,
Moving texture captures different light.
depending on the angle and intensity.
It is a minor matter.
Yet it brings a touch of warmth and nostalgia to this space.
As it went toward the dining area,
The plant's leaves and stems are located where morning light enters the house.
At first, this space was equipped with a soft, warm light,
that brings a sense of openness and calmness within.
The dough behind the food table is made from natural flour,
A sheet that beautifully combines with ceramics and plants.
It creates a pitiful backdrop to the dining area.
while sheet flour supports during detailed moments
without conflicting with the other elements in this space.
The lamp on top of this table was designed by us.
It is made using oil-absorbing paper.
Where do we keep the paper and press it into a sheet form work?
As soon as it was dried and removed from the table, the sheet's shape began to change.
Because this paper is not completely opaque,
It allows light to gently soften through the surface.
and slowly illuminated the dining table.
The kitchen controls nearly one-third of the house.
This shows a home's affection for cooking.
It functions as a fully operational kitchen,
yet remains visually open to the kitchen and study area
so the house still feels connected.
The back kitchen uses a company rope from Italy.
They are made using kilns fired with traditional wood.
with Etruscan skin,
causing slight changes in tone and texture.
For the back part of this island, we selected five olivogrola stones.
with soft decorations.
This highlights natural fossils.
inside the stone
and giving it a deer-like texture color
sitting comfortably within the overall palette of the house.
Heating the bridge is also important in this house,
Thus, we introduce glass wave windows.
in both the bedroom and empty areas
To improve air quality naturally.
Fruits require more than just sunlight and water,
Air movement aids in gas exchange.
and preventing diseases and pests
which often occurs in落后 environments.
In building a house that supports life on land,
We realize that it also benefits the people who live here.
Good warming, air humidity, and natural light
creating a healthier and more comfortable environment
Divide the land and the house owner.
The bedroom faces a glass of pain.
that pointed toward the fruits
Visually connected to the kitchen.
The floor here is deliberately arranged fruits.
bringing warmth and softness into the room.
To make this space more efficient,
The humidity is placed outside the closed bathroom.
This frees up more space for the bathroom and toilet.
These material panels remain simple and timeless.
with a classic subway towel worn with rosotravitin
introducing intense red into the hot city space.
This project, which we named in the garden,
It is one of our earlier tasks.
where did we begin exploring the power of silence
rather than simple ingredients,
with careful attention to detail.
She reminded us that the design tells a story
It does not always require complexity.
Sometimes, the most meaningful idea
arrived from something very ordinary.
We often look for simple signs in everyday life.
In this case, it is a memory garden area.
and the humble bridge of suicide.
By explaining these familiar elements
in a more sensitive manner
Older materials are permitted to speak.
their more primitive quality.
And through honest guidance,
They took over a new life.
For us, it truly means something.
