In this video we are going to see the unknown origin of a drink that currently does not need any introduction.
We refer to the Jägermainster which in our language could be translated as Master Hunter. This name comes from a hunting law enacted by the German government in 1934, to name the rangers and senior foresters of the German public administration known as the Reich hunting law.
The following year a passionate hunter and winemaker named Curt Mast borrows the name for his creation, a peculiar drink to make the cold nights in Germany more bearable.
And little by little it became popular among the soldiers of the German army during World War II.
