人權律師：神韻享譽全球 籲反中共跨國鎮壓

4月11日中午，著名國際人權律師David Matas觀賞了美國神韻巡迴藝術團在加拿大溫哥華伊莉莎白女王劇院（Queen Elizabeth Theatre）的第四場演出。他常年在世界各地觀看神韻演出，一直關注神韻所呈現的法輪功學員反迫害的真相。慶祝神韻成立20周年之際，他特別讚譽，神韻融合舞台天幕科技與舞蹈藝術、全球影響力卓越，同時，他呼籲民眾以各種方式回應中共對神韻的跨國壓制。
著名國際人權律師 David Matas：「首先，我以前從未見過這樣的舞台呈現形式，雖然我也看過不少其它演出，但神韻舞台上視頻背景（天幕）與演員之間的互動，令人驚歎不已。演員們彷彿從影像背景中走出來，直接成為舞台上的藝術家。對我而言，這是一種非常驚人的技術發展。當然，還包括舞蹈家的高超技巧與靈活性，以及整體呈現的美感；再加上古典交響樂團與特定中國傳統樂器的結合，這一點我在其他地方從未見過或聽過。」


著名國際人權律師 David Matas：「其中有些舞蹈節目是純舞蹈，但也有一些是帶有故事情節的。僅僅透過舞蹈來講述故事，是一種引人入勝的表達方式。其中讓我印象深刻的一個故事，是關於（中共）迫害法輪功以及活摘器官的情節，正如我之前所說。
我認為，神韻藝術家透過藝術形式向觀眾傳遞真實訊息與觀點，這本來就是舞蹈演員常規做的。這展現了一種創意與巧思，以不同方式表達問題所在及其處理方法。」

David Matas先生常年觀看神韻演出，他讚譽神韻20年成就卓越、影響全球，其成功證明了中共壓制傳統文化的失敗。

it's important to support it. But I would also say even more important is to combat the transnational repression against it, because what we see is the Chinese Communist Party has identified Falun Gong as its most prominent opposition force and the most one of the very important vehicles for that is Shen Yun because it's seen by so many people. I mean research and writing and academic conferences to attract so many people, but this kind of performance attracts 1000s, and over the years, it's attracted millions. And the Chinese Communist Party has engaged in transnational repression, specifically against Shen Yun because of its communicative value. with bomb threats, with planted newspaper stories and slashing tires and threatening people, threatening advertisers to get them to withdraw ads, threatening employees not to come to the performance and so on. And I think that it's an indication of how I mean, not only how effective it is, but how important it is. And I think what it does is it carries forward a message that in order to combat this Chinese transnational repression and the repression in the Chinese Communist Party, you don't have to do one particular thing. You can do anything. I mean, you can do it through dance you can do through art. And I mean, people often ask me, What can I do about it? And the answer is, do what you normally do, just incorporate it into what you normally do. And I think the dance company is a good example of that.

因為我們看到，中國共產黨已將法輪功視為其最主要的抵抗力量之一，而其中一個重要的傳播理念的載體就是神韻，因為她已經吸引大量觀眾觀看。相較於研究、寫作或學術會議，雖然也能吸引關注，但神韻這樣的演出每次能吸引成千上萬觀眾，多年來累積已達數百萬人次。
正因如此，中共針對神韻展開跨國鎮壓，包括炸彈威脅、刊登虛假報導、破壞車輛輪胎，以及威脅廣告商撤廣告、恐嚇員工不要前往觀看演出等行為。
這也反映出神韻影響力之大，以及其重要性之高。
同時也傳達一個訊息：要對抗這種跨國鎮壓以及中共的壓制，不要只用單一方式。你可以用任何方式去做，包括舞蹈、藝術等各種形式。
很多人常問我面對壓制能做什麼，我的回答是：照常做你該做的事，這個議題就如你的日常工作一樣。舞蹈團體本身照常演出，就是很好的例子。」
