📍What #NYT Didn’t Tell You About #Medvi
Hello all you freedom-loving people.
Turns out ABC News had a staff of 75 to produce negative Trump news.
The New York Times recently featured a company that operates more than 800 fake doctor accounts
on Facebook and Iran is at a zero hour for Trump's latest deadline to open the Strait
of Hormuz.
Okay, let's get into it.
Operation Epic Fury entered its 39th day today.
The Iranian government is at zero hour facing a U.S. deadline that could trigger major strikes
if Iran refuses to comply and reach a deal.
In its latest update, CENTCOM reported that their operations continue to expand with a
large-scale deployment of U.S. air, sea, and ground assets targeting key military infrastructure
of the Iranian government.
Also, there are reports that explosions have occurred on Karg Island, which is Iran's
largest and most important oil refining and storage center.
Citing a U.S. official, Reuters wrote that the United States targeted military sites
on Karg, but they did not damage oil infrastructure.
Today Vice President J.D. Vance was in Budapest, Hungary, where he met with Prime Minister
Viktor Orban and he spoke at a joint press conference.
During the conference, Vance said that the strikes on Karg Island do not change U.S.
strategy.
He said that the goal was to hit certain military targets, and that goal was reached.
And regarding the 8 p.m. deadline tonight, Vance said that they feel confident that they
will get an answer from the Iranian government by the deadline, but he also warned that they
have other tools in their toolbox that they haven't decided to use yet.
But we feel confident that we can get a response, whether it's positive or negative.
We're going to get a response from the Iranians by 8 o'clock tonight.
I hope they make the right response, because what we really want is we want a world where
oil and gas is flowing freely, where people can afford to heat their homes and cool their
homes, where people can afford to transport themselves to work.
That's not going to happen if the Iranians are engaged in acts of economic terrorism.
So they've got to know we've got tools in our toolkit that we so far haven't decided
to use.
The President of the United States can decide to use them, and he will decide to use them
And today, President Trump also warned of potential catastrophic consequences hours
before his 8 p.m. deadline for the Iranian government.
President Trump wrote on True Social a whole civilization will die tonight if no agreement
is struck.
But President Trump does not want that outcome to happen.
He said that the Iranian government's new leadership could still deliver a revolutionarily
wonderful shift if different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail.
If that happens, President Trump said that it would be a historic turning point.
He wrote,
We will find out tonight one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of
the world.
47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end.
God bless the great people of Iran.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said today that the IDF, the Israeli
military forces, targeted several bridges and railway routes across Iran.
His announcement came after the IDF warned the Iranian people earlier today on social
media to stay away from railway areas.
The IDF stated that their strikes were meant to slow down the movement of military equipment
and to stop missiles that are linked to the IRGC.
Israeli Army Radio said that at least 10 bridges and railway routes were hit so far.
And the IDF also said that a large wave of attacks on infrastructure across different
areas has been completed.
Among those strikes, there was a key petrochemical site in the south of Iran.
This target is a facility that is linked to missile and explosives production.
Also, they hit a large ballistic missile site in northwestern Iran.
Netanyahu emphasized that they are not targeting the Iranian people, they are trying to weaken
the Iranian government.
State media in Iran also reported attacks on railway lines and roads in several cities.
In response, the Iranian government struck back by launching retaliatory attacks.
The IRGC said in a statement that if the U.S. military crosses its red line, it will respond
beyond the region.
They said that it would take action against U.S. infrastructure and its partners that
could prevent them from accessing the region's oil and gas for years.
Then, the IRGC said that they attacked a petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia.
It was not clear which building was hit, but smoke and flames were seen in the area where
major energy companies are located.
And the IRGC said that the attack was in response to strikes on major petrochemical plants in
Iran.
They also said that they targeted another chemical facility in Saudi Arabia with missiles
and drones, and the IRGC claimed that it carried out attacks earlier today on targets linked
to the United States and its allies.
It said U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz were hit, along with
military sites and command systems in Israel.
Israeli media reported that one missile that hit carried a large amount of explosives,
but it did not explode when it hit the ground.
Even so, the impact caused several floors of a building to collapse.
Rescue teams said that if it had exploded, the whole building and nearby homes could
have been destroyed.
But because it didn't explode, only four people were injured and the bodies of four
members of one family were pulled from the rubble.
Meanwhile, today, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Youth and Adolescents for the
Iranian government called on citizens, including students, to form human chains around power
plants.
He said that power plants are national assets and they should be protected for the future.
Also yesterday, another Iranian official urged parents to send their children to checkpoints
which are often targeted in airstrikes.
Reports say that people have already formed a human chain around a power plant in the
northwest of Iran, and other human chains were formed.
One is on a bridge, and another is in front of a power plant in southern Iran.
Meanwhile today, a plan to protect ships in the Strait of Hormuz failed at the UN Security
Council.
Russia and China blocked it, even though the United States and several Gulf countries supported
it.
After the veto, Michael Waltz, who is the U.S. ambassador, asked other countries to
help keep the strait safe.
No one should tolerate that they are holding the global economy at gunpoint.
But today, Russia and China did tolerate it.
They sided with a regime that seeks to intimidate the Gulf into submission, even as it brutalizes
its own people during a national internet blackout, for daring to imagine dignity or
freedom.
Now it seeks to punish the world as cynical leverage in its death-to-America approach
to foreign policy.
Colleagues, the blight Iran has inflicted upon us, you, and its own people, it did not
begin on March 11th, it did not begin February 28th, or even today.
For nearly half a century, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the world's leading state sponsor
of terrorism, has built its reason for existence on the violent exporting of a revolution.
It's built its reason for existence on intimidation and terror.
And I commend Bahrain and everyone who voted with this resolution for saying enough is
enough.
Also, Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused Iran of carrying out terrorist actions in
the Strait of Hormuz, and he said that attacks on commercial ships there break international
law.
So Mr. Secretary, we see some of the nations like New Zealand impacted by this war of Iran.
The whole world's been impacted, unfortunately, because Iran is violating every law known
by striking commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, and it's a big problem for the
world.
I mean, this is a regime that doesn't believe in laws, rules, or anything like that.
It's a state sponsor of terrorism.
So, it's not surprising that they're now conducting terrorist activity against commercial
vessels.
So, a lot of people are wondering what might happen tonight after the 8 p.m. deadline.
An unnamed Iranian official told Reuters that messages between Iran and the United States
are still being exchanged through intermediaries.
And Pakistan's Prime Minister asked President Trump to extend the deadline for Iran by two
weeks, and he asked Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for the same two-week period.
Then Axios reported that Pakistan's response on this situation will be shared soon.
And the White House said that President Trump is aware of Pakistan's proposal.
Phone call with President Trump.
He declined to say how he's feeling about the talks with Iran.
But he said that, you know, I can't tell you right now, we're in heated negotiations.
So that at least shows us that the president, as he always has been, is open to discussion
on all of this.
He wants that Strait open.
He says the regime has already changed to a certain extent.
With that, we bring in Will Kane.
Meanwhile, another Iranian official said that the Iranian government is reviewing the idea
of a two-week ceasefire in a positive way.
And then near the final hour, President Trump said that he paused the planned attacks on
Iran for two weeks.
His message came after talks with Pakistan's Prime Minister and military leader, who asked
for a delay.
He said that the pause depends on the Iranian government agreeing to fully and safely reopening
Strait of Hormuz.
During this time, both sides will stop attacks.
President Trump also said that their main military goals had already been met.
Meanwhile, they are close to a long-term peace agreement with the Iranian government and
the region.
A proposal from the Iranian government is now being reviewed, and most key issues have
already been agreed upon, and the two-week period is meant to finalize the agreement.
President Trump posted on True Social saying that he will hold off the destructive force
being sent tonight to Iran and, subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the
complete, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz, agree to suspend the bombing
and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks.
This will be a double-sided ceasefire.
The reason for doing so is that we have already met and exceeded all military objectives and
are very far along with a definitive agreement concerning long-term peace with Iran and peace
in the Middle East.
The race for California governor is drawing a lot of attention.
This year's California gubernatorial election is viewed as a highly competitive race with
many variables with around 60 candidates standing.
The main contenders are naturally the two Republican candidates and the six leading
Democrat candidates.
According to the latest polls, the two leading Republican candidates are former Fox News
host Steve Hilton and Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco.
The six Democrat candidates are U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, former Biden administration
official and former California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, former U.S. Rep. Katie Porter,
former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, California billionaire Tom Steyer, and San
Jose Mayor Matt Mahon.
What's unusual is, according to the polling average from Decision Desk HQ, Hilton is leading
with a 17.3% support rate and Bianco with a 13.6% support rate as the second, while
Swalwell with 13.4% support trails the two Republican candidates but leads among Democratic
candidates.
Although California is a heavily Democratic state, it now faces numerous challenges and
a budget deficit.
Its tax rates are the highest in the country, a large field of Democrats would split the
vote in California's jungle primary, it's likely that the Republican candidate will
gain more support than they did in previous elections, President Trump has consistently
criticized outgoing California Governor Gavin Newsom and Democrats in the state legislature
claiming that their policies have caused Californians to flee the state and have led to a surge
in crime rates.
Hilton's campaign platform covers a wide range of issues including tax cuts for working
class families, tax exemptions for those with annual incomes under $100,000, and a pledge
to never raise property taxes.
It also includes streamlining the state government's bloated bureaucracy and eliminating red tape
and creating a business-friendly environment as well as increasing housing that is affordable
for families, defending parents' rights and ensuring that schools focus on imparting
knowledge and cracking down on crime, etc.
Therefore, President Trump has announced his endorsement of Hilton for the position of
Governor of California in an attempt to save the state.
President Trump wrote on True Social, I have known and respected Steve Hilton who is running
for Governor of California for many years.
He is a truly fine man, one who has watched as this once great state has gone to hell.
Several prominent tech executives, Silicon Valley figures and celebrities, including
a Google co-founder, have donated to support Hilton's campaign for Governor in addition
to President Trump.
President Trump also said, Steve can turn it around before it's too late and as President
I will help him to do so.
With federal help and a great Governor like Steve Hilton, California can be better than
ever before.
Hilton said that he was deeply honored by the endorsement of President Trump.
He said, California should be the best place in the world to follow your dreams, raise
a family, start and grow a business.
We have everything we need to lead our country again.
I'm grateful for the President's support.
Together we can turn things around and make California truly golden again.
Under California's top two primary system, the two candidates who receive the most votes
in the June primary will advance to the general election regardless of their party affiliation.
The final winner will be determined in the general election in November.
However, according to political analyst Rob Piers, President Trump's endorsement may
have already solidified the Republicans' chances of sweeping both top spots in the
primaries and keep the Democrats out of the runoff.
Bianco has been endorsed by multiple county Republican parties, officials and organizations
within the state.
California Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks announced in an open letter that California
Democrats decided not to issue an endorsement and he asked the candidates to assess whether
they should stay in the race.
How much would a major television network be willing to invest to destroy someone?
ABC's answer is 75 full-time employees.
This is the inside scoop that the former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush just revealed on
Hangout with Sean Hannity.
He said, ABC News had a division.
They had a division dedicated with 75 people in it because I knew the guy who ran the division
which was dedicated to basically getting him, meaning get Trump.
This division had no regular news assignments.
Its sole performance metric was to find negative news about Trump, even if they were not real.
Bush declined to identify who ran the anti-Trump division at ABC News, but he suggested that
the person no longer works at the network.
It has never been a secret that the media has a particular bias, but mobilizing a team
of dozens of people to target and attack a political outsider seems to be more than just
a matter of having a particular bias.
The mainstream media has long ceased to be the fourth estate or the uncrowned king in
the traditional sense.
Instead, it has become a tool that serves certain political interests.
The infamous Access Hollywood tape scandal broke out during Donald Trump's first presidential
campaign and Bush was one of the individuals involved.
However, he did not agree that the tape's content should be used to attack Donald Trump.
The last meeting I had with Andy Lack was, I said, Andy, I understand what you want to
do with this and what you want to weaponize this because there's a debate on Sunday night,
the second debate with Hillary and Donald.
And I...
What network carried that debate?
CNN.
OK.
And sure enough, it was the first question right out of Anderson Cooper's mouth.
He was the moderator.
This was, this was it.
This was, and there's always been an it to get Trump.
But this was definitely it at the time.
And so, but I said, look, it's wrong.
I understand if that you've got something here that you think is relevant, but it's
wrong.
I mean, I chit chat with Sean Hannity, you know, 15 minutes before we sit down for an
interview.
The camera happens to be rolling.
Whatever we talk about is not usable.
That's not usable.
Sean doesn't...
I was giving your mom a kiss.
What are you talking about?
I was saying how wonderful you are and lying about what a great person you are.
Yeah, you see?
That can't be weapon.
But yeah, this was a special circumstance because of who was running and felt about
him.
The Andy that he mentioned in the talk is then NBC News chairman Andy Lack.
In 2017, ABC News was forced to retract a report that claimed Michael Flynn, the former
national security advisor, would testify that President Trump had ordered him to make contact
with the Russians regarding foreign policy while President Trump was still a candidate.
Brian Ross, the chief investigative correspondent behind the false report, was later forced
out of the network.
In 2024, This Week anchor George Stephanopoulos had falsely claimed that President Trump was
found liable for rape in the E. Jean Carroll case, when in fact a civil jury somehow ruled
that he was liable for sexual abuse.
Later ABC was forced to pay a $16 million settlement to President Trump after he filed
a defamation lawsuit against the news outlet.
Next, let's talk about how the New York Times fabricates false stories.
Several days ago, the New York Times published a feature story detailing how 41-year-old
Los Angeles entrepreneur Matthew Gallagher launched the telemedicine company Medvine
in just two months with only $20,000 in seed funding and with the help of more than a dozen
AI tools.
The company focuses on GLP-1 weight loss drugs, such as culmination versions of semaglutide
and terzepatide.
This company is being marketed as the future of entrepreneurship.
According to the New York Times, Medvine was launched in September of 2024.
It acquired 300 customers in its first month and 1,000 in its second.
By 2025, it had reached an annual revenue of $401 million and was serving around 250,000
customers, achieving a net profit margin of 16.2% and a net income of around $65 million.
With revenue of $401 million in 2025, it is projected to surge to $1.8 billion in 2026.
Medvine's core team consists solely of founder Matthew Gallagher and his brother.
Virtually all other tasks, including coding, marketing, copywriting, ad design, and customer
service are handled by AI tools such as ChatGBT, Claude, Grok, and MidJourney.
Doctors, pharmacies, and logistics are outsourced to third-party platforms
such as OpenLoop Health and CareValidate.
At first glance, this is the myth of AI displacing traditional business models.
This remarkable performance stands in stark contrast to traditional telemedicine companies
like Hims and Hers.
Hims and Hers generated $2.4 billion in revenue in 2025, but with over 2,400 employees,
so its net profit margin was only 5.5%.
But is the Medvine miracle trustable?
The New York Times claims that reporters reviewed the company's financial data and
interviewed relevant individuals.
However, the problem is that the company itself has been long shrouded in suspicion.
On February 20th, six weeks before the New York Times profile,
the FDA sent Medvine a warning letter for misbranding the compounded drugs that are
generating that revenue.
The letter states that the company's website contains false or misleading statements
labeling combination drugs as manufactured by Medvine and claims like same active ingredient
and the claim falsely implied FDA approval or evaluation.
But the New York Times profile did not mention the warning letter.
Other media reports indicate that Medvine operated more than 800 fake doctor accounts
on Facebook using fabricated doctor profiles and AI-generated before and after photos to
promote its paid advertisements.
A drug discovery and development review that was conducted on April 3rd of Medvine's
website, Facebook advertising and public records found a pattern of apparent AI-generated
personas, including some that were presented with medical titles.
And a search of Meta's ad library for Medvine returned more than 5,000 active ads,
and many of them are running under apparently fabricated physician personas.
A Business Insider investigation was published on the same day.
It scrutinized the historical use of apparent AI-generated doctor profiles in Meta ads for
Medvine, and it said that many are tied to its affiliates.
In December last year, a bipartisan coalition of 35 attorneys general wrote to Meta.
They wrote,
The use of artificial intelligence to fabricate images, spokespeople, and medical claims
crosses a line and makes these ads particularly dangerous.
Medvine's own website, FinePrint, acknowledges the practice.
At the bottom of the site, a disclaimer reads,
Individuals appearing in advertisements may be actors or AI portraying doctors.
And are not licensed medical professionals.
Last May, Futurism contacted doctors that were listed on Medvine's site.
At least one, an osteopathic practitioner said
that he had no association with the company and requested removal.
Medvine's current homepage promises unlimited 24-7 support and doctor-led plans and coaching.
It says,
The care is provided by OpenLoop Health clinicians,
who retain the decision to prescribe compounded GLP-1s to patients.
But OpenLoop Health recently disclosed a significant cyber breach.
On January 7, a threat actor breached OpenLoop's systems
and exfiltrated records from approximately 1.6 million patients,
including names, contact information, dates of birth, and medical information.
Last November, a North Carolina consumer filed a class-action complaint
against OpenLoop Health and compounding pharmacy Triad Rx.
The lawsuit alleges that the firms manufactured and sold
what the complainant characterized as modern-day snake oil.
Compounded oral terzapatide tablets with no demonstrated mechanism of absorption or efficacy.
The complaint alleged that the plaintiff purchased the pills through Medvine.
Medvine was also served, but they failed to appear in court for the case,
which is a Federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act lawsuit that was filed in May of 2025.
Another class-action case that was filed in federal court in California in March
accuses Medvine of benefiting from affiliate spam.
In other words, Medvine is not a miracle company,
but rather a highly controversial business model
that may even be operating in violation of regulations.
But what is truly shocking is not just how the company itself violated regulations,
but rather that the New York Times as a mainstream media outlet
not only failed to dig deeper into these issues,
but instead the New York Times packaged them as a model of success,
and they heavily promoted them.
The media is supposed to conduct investigations and expose risks.
Of course, as we've reported before,
the New York Times coverage has long strayed from this principle.
However, the New York Times spared no effort
when they slandered Shen Yun Performing Arts,
a New York-based company that is targeted by the CCP.
And now the New York Times is endorsing a problematic company, Medvine,
and the New York Times is even helping to spread its influence.
And that's a wrap for this episode.
