Hey guys, it's Momay,
and today I'm doing something super fun.
Many of you guys know I am not a cook.
I am not good at it,
but I'm gonna show you today
how to make some treats from your kitchen
without having to turn on the oven.
It's gonna be super fun.
We're gonna do three different ones.
And the folks at Lien,
this is that printer that does your stickers
and your photos,
and I've shown you this before, a full demo.
They reached out and asked if I'd be interested
in showing you guys how to use stickers,
and I said I would.
And so this is a paid partnership with them,
and I'm gonna show you how to use their app,
which is super cool,
how to create your own stickers in Canva
and bring into the app,
and then how to print them,
and let's use them to package up some sweet treats.
So let's get started.
I'm down in my sewing room,
and I have my little printer sitting over here.
You can't really see it.
You'll see it in a few minutes,
but I wanted to show you how I'm gonna design my stickers.
This is so easy.
Are you ready?
I'm in Canva right now,
and I'm gonna click Create.
Now, full disclosure,
I have Canva Pro because I use it for my business,
but you can still make a lot of things
using the free version.
I'm gonna go right here to this thing that says Logo.
It's just basically a 500-pixel circle shape,
and I'm just gonna use that to build on.
I don't need a super big spot.
Now, you'll see I already did a search
and found this little sticker.
I used it earlier.
I've already made one.
I'm gonna show you how I did it.
Here's one that I did.
So I'm gonna click on this guy, okay,
and I'm gonna bring him over.
Now, the thing is this.
I like the wording and how it's laid out,
but it's not what I want it to say.
So like here at the top,
I want this to say Merry Christmas,
and then because this sticker was already built
and is editable for me,
then I don't have to do much.
This is a little bit big,
so I'm gonna shrink the font just a tiny bit
because it was kind of touching right here.
I also don't want this to say 19.
I want it to say 2025, so change those,
and then at the bottom,
I want this to say From Our Kitchen,
and then Maymay and Vince,
just as an idea,
just to show you how that'll work,
and now, do you see how it's touching
the little lines in my graphic?
This little image, I can't edit.
It's a, I could do some editing,
but it would take me a little long,
so rather than editing this little guy,
I'm just gonna shrink my font enough for it to fit.
Sometimes it's better just to make smaller edits
than to rebuild the whole canvas, right?
So do you see how when I did that,
it changed the curve?
All I need to do is click on Effects,
go down here where it says Curve,
and just change that to fit,
and once I get that shape like I want it,
I just grab it and put it into place,
and so now it says From Our Kitchen, Maymay and Vince.
Now, I don't want this snowman in the middle,
so what I'm gonna do is click on that little guy
and get rid of him, okay,
and then I'm gonna go to Elements,
and I wanna show you.
I found, I don't wanna search all day.
I want you guys to see how this works,
but I wanted to search and put in Christmas cookies,
and look at these cookies that I found.
Now, I used those on my first sticker.
You can see here, aren't they super cute on that one?
I think I'll use something different here.
So this one that I'm making
is an orange and cranberry cookie,
so I'm gonna type in orange and cranberry cookie
and just see what I get in my images,
so let's see, y'all.
This is really pretty, but it's pie,
so let's keep looking.
I feel like if I take the word cookie out
and just do orange and cranberry,
I might find what I'm looking for,
so I found this image that is an orange.
I'm gonna shrink it down a bit.
I think that's a pretty one,
and then I found these cranberries,
and I'm gonna shrink it as well.
I like this kind of watercolor look,
and I'm not really trying to be exact.
I just want the recipient of this cookie
to kind of know what flavors are in it,
so I'm gonna add this here,
and then I'm gonna decide how I wanna do this orange.
Let's send it to the back.
You just hit position and send it backwards,
and let's see if we can't line,
oh, that's gonna be pretty.
That's gonna be pretty.
It's hard to mess up these pretty watercolor images.
Just put them where you want them.
My proportions are a little off, aren't they?
I'm not gonna stress about that too awful much.
You're not gonna be able to get that perfect.
I just want you to be able to see what flavors are in here,
so let's go with something like that.
Now, I wanna add the name of the cookie here,
so I'm gonna go add a text box,
and I'm gonna call it Festive Orange and,
oops, I gotta spell it right,
but we'll check all that before we print,
Orange and Cranberry,
and then I'm gonna shrink this a little bit,
and let's bring it down and kind of get it to fit in here.
All right, I like that shape,
and I can get it to where it'll be just the right size,
and the other cool thing is I can click it
and move it until I see that center line
that lets me know it's in the center,
and there we go, Festive Orange and Cranberry.
Now, on my other sticker, and I think it's really cute,
I added a little scallop edge,
so I'm gonna go back to Elements,
and I'm gonna go up here,
and I'm gonna type in scallop circle,
and this is the one I used,
and I just stretched it to fit like so.
Then I moved it into place
until I saw that cross bar in the middle.
Let me show you that again.
See how they cross?
That's what I was trying to do.
I wanna be able to see the solid cross lines on the screen
and that lets me know it's in the middle.
Now, this color of the scallop is not too awful bad,
but I really want it to match better in here,
so I'm gonna go up here to Color at the top,
and I'm gonna choose the dropper,
and I'm gonna choose my own color.
So what I can do now is take my cursor
and move it around the screen
until I see in this little circle the color I'm looking for.
I think I'm gonna go with that.
That feels sort of festive.
It might be too close.
Let's change that a little bit.
It's a little too close to the red of my text,
although we could change the text.
Let's change the text.
Let's change this image.
So I'm just choosing those images and changing them.
I like that.
I think I still want this to be a little lighter,
so let's do that again.
So I can either click and drag here and edit my color,
and here I can kind of see what I'm working with.
Oh, I like that.
That feels festive orange and cranberry,
so we're gonna let that be it.
Now, here's what I gotta do.
There is a color in this background.
It came in when I brought that sticker in,
so I'm gonna click back here and delete that
so that it goes white in the background.
Then when I go share this, I want to download it,
and I want to click transparent background,
and that way I'm gonna get just the outside shape
and tell this to save to my images.
All right, now we're gonna go open up my Lean software.
I hope I'm saying that right.
I'm probably saying that a thousand times.
Lean is how I think you say it.
All right, I'm gonna go right here to Canvas,
and now I'm gonna upload that image from my photos.
I'm going to say use it.
Now, you could remove the background
from that screen we were just on,
but I already removed the background
when I saved it transparent on Canvas, or on Canva.
Okay, now this little guy, I want to resize it.
Okay, so I'm gonna use my pencil
so I can point and touch where I'm going,
and you'll really be able to see that
inside the Lean software.
Now, this is on my iPad,
and I'm using the HD version of the software,
so that's the app you want to get, okay?
Now, I know what size I want this.
I want it to be 2.875.
I want it to be almost three inches, okay?
So right down here where it says Advanced,
if I click this little button, it locks my proportions, okay?
So when I go into this box,
and I'm gonna go back to my keyboard,
and I type in 2.875 and hit Enter,
you see how it keeps my proportions very, very similar?
And this is the size that I want my sticker.
Now, at the top of this box where it's selected,
I can duplicate this, and I want to
because I want to make two of these stickers.
So I'm gonna bring one down here and have one up there.
Now, what I'm gonna do really quick,
this is a little trick I like to do.
Well, let me unclick that if I can.
I guess I can't, okay.
What I like to do is do a quick Make It.
This is where you get to preview, okay?
So I'm gonna click Make It,
and my Preview page pops up,
and I can see that they're really pretty close.
They're not overlapping, so I think I'll be fine.
So I'm gonna leave that just like that and go back.
Now, this space, I want to use for something else.
Let me show you.
If I come over here, I'm gonna go this way.
If I go to Elements,
and in this little piece right here,
if you tap that Top Picks beside,
or that little menu beside Top Picks,
look at all these that come up,
and I want to scroll down to,
let's do, I know there's a Holidays.
There it is, Holidays.
And now, I'm gonna look for something super cute
that I can fill some space with,
like this little guy right here.
If I bring him over and I resize him,
I could fit him in some of these spaces
so I don't waste the white space in the back, right?
That's one thing we can do.
The other thing I wanna do is I want to create a label
to go on to seal the back of my little cookie bag with.
So watch what I'm gonna do here.
I've grabbed this shape.
I'm gonna stretch it out.
I'm gonna turn the lock off
because that lock means I can't move things individually,
which is what I want to do here.
So drag this out, shrink this down a little more,
and it's a little bit tall for me.
And what I wanna do is I wanna get two of these on here.
Let me move these guys up.
And don't worry, we have the Preview option
multiple times to look at.
Okay, now I wanna change this sticker's color, okay?
So what I'll do is come down here to Fill,
and I'll click right there,
and then I can change it to whatever I want.
I kinda like this color.
And what's really neat about this software
is do you see these theme colors?
It pulls those colors from the sticker you put in.
That is really cool to me.
I love that because I can just grab what's here.
Like, for example, see how similar those colors are?
I think maybe do the green.
The green would be very complimentary.
Let's do this.
And then on my last little label, I put Santa Approved.
So I'm gonna go to Text,
and I'm gonna type Santa Approved.
I think that's a cute little sticker
to put on the back of them.
Let me pull this guy down so you can see it.
Couple things I wanna do.
Number one, I wanna change the font.
I'm gonna come here, and I want to use this one.
I want it to be a little bulky, okay, or a little bold.
I'm gonna stretch this so we can see it all together.
The next thing I wanna do
is I wanna bring these two lines closer together,
and I can do that with the Line Spacing option,
about like that.
Then I'm gonna shrink this to fit right here,
just like so.
I'm gonna use my trackpad
to make this easier real quick on my keyboard.
I have more control over that there.
Okay, now my little label's a little small
because I'm gonna add a little image
that I found earlier that I thought was so cute.
I'll move that over.
And then I'm gonna come up here to my Uploads,
and I already uploaded this little Santa image.
I found him on Canva.
So I'm gonna use him right down here.
He's just Santa with thumbs up,
and I think that's so cute for Santa approved,
and get him right in that area.
All right, now watch this.
If you click, let's see if I can do this like this.
If you click your word, okay, oops, it moved on me.
Let me undo that.
It's because I'm using my pencil, you guys.
If you click on your word,
okay, I'm not gonna use a pencil for this.
I'm gonna go back to my trackpad.
My pencil is so sensitive.
Have y'all noticed?
Let me show you this.
If I go to Text, watch this.
I'm not even touching the screen,
and do you see how it's moving?
This pencil is very, very sensitive, which is good,
but it's not so good for what I'm doing right now.
All right, so let's get rid of this text we don't need
that we just added to show you that.
All right, I'm gonna click on Santa approved.
Now at the top, you see where it says multi-select?
If you click multi-select,
then you can click and drag
and select all the things you want.
I can say done over here, and now I can group that, okay?
Now when I group it,
I can now duplicate it all grouped together.
Now I wanna turn these into stickers.
I mean, I wanna turn these into little labels.
They're a little too big,
so I'm gonna click multi-select and grab this one also,
and then I'm gonna resize them at the same time
and make them fit in this little spot.
Now I happen to know that these guys,
my border that I have here is a little bigger
than my last sticker border was.
I'm gonna shrink those down a little bit more
than I did my last one.
So I'm gonna come over here
and I'm gonna turn my lock on again,
and I think I'm gonna put this on 2.75 and see what we get.
Yeah, I think that'll be better
because I didn't use the exact same border
as the first stickers I did,
and I noticed things aren't fitting as well on my page,
so that's why I needed to do it.
And the cool thing is,
if you're making a bunch of these cookies to give away
or a bunch of little treats to give away,
you only have to do this once.
You get this built and you can save this into the software,
and that's really cool.
All right, now let me show you this.
If you come over here again to Elements,
and we're in Holidays, you can find,
which I think these are really cool,
these little that look like labels.
I just clicked on that one and it moved down here.
See it down here?
I'm gonna turn this sideways.
It says Merry Christmas,
and I can put these into these spaces
so I can use these spaces to not be wasteful,
if that makes sense.
So instead of printing and not getting every single bit
from this sheet,
I know I can use Merry Christmas stickers,
you know what I'm saying?
And those will be cute.
And there's others.
These are built in, by the way.
You don't have to design these.
These are already built in for you.
I'll even show you another one.
I used this one earlier.
This little guy right here.
He's that one with the little kitty cat.
So cute.
All right, let me delete that.
Now, let's print this guy.
Oh, we got one more space.
Let's put something in there.
We don't wanna waste it.
Can I get this little raccoon down there?
He is adorbs.
These will be small,
but you could use them in a planner, in a journal,
but it's better not to waste the space, in my opinion.
All right, let's preview.
When we preview, do you see what we get?
We're touching a little bit.
We're touching a little bit here
and maybe a little bit there.
So I'm gonna cancel this.
I'm gonna move these guys back a little bit.
Let's see if we can do that.
And then I'm gonna move this one back
and move this one out.
Now let's do make it and see our preview.
Much better.
Now we can cut it.
So I'm gonna click cut.
I've already got my printer loaded
and I'll show you some footage
from the first ones that I did
so you can see how it cuts.
It will run through the printer three times.
It'll do all the colors.
Oh, my machine is not connected.
Let me connect it.
But it'll run through all the colors
and then it will print out.
I'll show you the footage of it cutting.
I'm gonna be honest with you guys.
I really love this machine.
There's a couple of things I love.
Number one, it's small enough that it fits in a backpack.
So I actually got one of my backpacks
that I used to use for some other technology stuff I carried
and I put this in it with the cord,
with my paper, my sticker paper,
and I can move it between here and work so easy.
I can move it around rooms in my house.
If you were organizing and wanted to make labels.
Also, I'm in love with this software.
It's so easy to use.
It's telling me that my printer's busy,
but I'm just talking to you now,
but it's so easy to use.
In between designing my own images
and uploading them to the software, so simple.
All right, you guys.
Cookie number one is Snowy Peppermint Chip
and let me show you how cute this is.
So these are pre-baked cookies I buy from our local bakery
and you can get this from anywhere,
from a grocery store or wherever you buy your cookies from.
The only thing you wanna do is take them out
and kind of match them up for size
to make sure that they're pretty similar.
Okay, so these are.
Then I have some just canned frosting.
This is, you know, just made buttercream frosting.
You could make your own buttercream frosting
if you wanted to.
This is just some I bought in the can,
like for icing a cake with.
And these are those beautiful peppermint bark squares.
And I chopped up the peppermint bark like this
and that's what's gonna decorate the edges.
Okay, enough chat, let's make one.
This will be so easy and so delicious.
Let's do two at a time.
So I'm gonna take a little bit of the frosting,
not too little of a bit.
You do want it to kind of squeeze out the edges.
So let's get a pretty good dollop on there.
Remember, it's Christmas, we want them to feel decadent
and we're calling them snowy peppermint chips
so we really want you to feel that peppermint chip.
I think I'm gonna take a tiny bit out of this one
because I think when I squish,
that's all gonna go everywhere.
All right, so we'll take our cookie lid.
I have this little spatula in case I need it.
I'm gonna take my cookie lid and what I'm gonna try to do
is get that frosting out the sides just a little bit
because we wanna roll this in the peppermint candy.
Yeah, this can use more.
Let's put a little more on there.
All right, back to our lid
and I'm just gonna kind of work that around with the cookie.
You're not wanting to be too difficult with that cookie
because you don't want it to crack or break.
And then any excess, we can take right off the edges
just like that, just a little bit
because I do want some of it.
And then before it goes everywhere,
I'm gonna go ahead and dip this
into our peppermint chip bark.
Isn't that cool?
That's why you needed that frosting to come out the edges.
This is a cookie somebody could eat
in two or three sittings.
You could cut this up and enjoy this for a while.
Isn't that gonna be cute?
Look at that little cookie.
Oh, it's so cute.
Okay, here's what I'm gonna do.
I'm gonna put this on a plate
and I'm gonna put this in the fridge to firm up
because my frosting is really soft.
So let me get a plate real quick.
So there's one and I'm gonna do the other one real quick.
You could do this with any flavors you like.
I asked Chat GPT for some flavor combinations
and it recommended this kind of a mocha chocolate one,
not this one we're doing now.
This one was actually designed by Vince.
He came up with the peppermint bark situation.
It was a really good idea.
I liked it.
But Chat GPT suggested doing this with a chocolate frosting
and calling this a mocha peppermint,
which would be cool too.
All right, look how pretty that is.
All right, I'm gonna let those firm up in the fridge.
Now, this one is our merry cheesecake cookie.
Now, I'm making this one just cheesecake flavor,
but if you wanted to add other flavors,
you could just by adding like some jams in the middle
or mixing a flavor into your frosting,
like strawberry or things like that.
But I want this to be shelf stable,
so I didn't add any fruit fillings.
This icing is cream cheese and these are sugar cookies.
Again, all pre-made and all store-bought,
so I'm not really doing any cooking,
which people that get food gifts from me
will probably appreciate.
I am not a cook.
And then I'm just going to work this out again,
wanting that to kind of seep out the edges.
If it seeps out too much, you can make an edit.
Just grab a little bit of it off
and you can add it back to your bowl.
Now, in my bowl here, I have graham cracker crumbs.
So I'm just going to run this around
and pick up the graham cracker crumbs.
So with the cream cheese, the sugar cookie,
and the graham cracker,
you should get a really nice cheesecake flavored cookie.
That looks so cool.
You could even add freeze dried strawberries,
berries in here.
You know what?
I have some, let's try it.
Well, I'm a little sad.
I thought I had some, but I don't,
but I do have some chocolate chips
and this would be pretty too
to do a little chocolate chip cheesecake.
You could do it with like caramel ones or turtle flavor,
whatever you wanted to do there.
Let's do this and put a little extra something on the edges.
So let's load this guy up with frosting.
And I'm going to tell you something.
These are not diet cookies.
These are holiday treat yourself cookies.
And again, I think I would cut these up
and make them multiple serving cookies, you know,
like cut them into four.
All right, let's see if we can get
some of those chocolate chips in there too.
Anywhere that frosting is, we can even add them on purpose.
Get some little chocolate chips in there.
And that way you've got a little chocolate cheesecake cookie.
Too cute.
Add that to my plate.
And again, I'm going to put this in the fridge
and let it firm up.
Okay, you guys, festive orange and cranberry.
Now, my pre-made oatmeal cookies,
which is what I'm starting with here,
have raisin in them.
I would try to get them that don't
because you're just doing orange and cranberry.
However, you can just put on the little,
on your sticker,
festive orange, cranberry, and raisin cookie, right?
But I forgot these had raisins in them,
but we're going to go with it.
All right, so here's the deal.
I took a little bit of orange extract
and this is that buttercream frosting,
the same jar that I've been using.
And I added some orange extract to it
and it tastes delicious.
Don't add too much.
You get too much and it'll start to taste
a little bit medicinal and a little chemically.
So don't add too much,
just a little bit at a time and taste as you go.
All right, so let's build this guy.
These are dried cranberries that I chopped up.
I just ran my knife through them
because you know, they're pretty big out of the package.
Fortunately, this buttercream frosting
has a little bit of an orange color to it.
It's kind of cool
because it kind of leans into what we're creating.
Put our lid on.
We're going to work that frosting like we did.
With the others, and I'm going to let that be a little soft
so it'll really pick up these cranberries.
All right, I've got it on a plate.
It's going to have to go in the fridge to firm up.
Let's do another one.
This one's messy, you guys.
I think I'll use less frosting this time.
I think what happened here is
I was expecting my frosting to be as firm as it was
while I go.
It's not because when you add that extract,
it gets a little softer.
So let's go a little lighter on the frosting
and we'll let those cranberries go
and a little bit deeper on these.
I have to apologize.
While I was doing that, my phone rang
and I filmed with my phone and it cut me off.
But you can see how soft these are.
These really need to firm up.
So I'll put them in the fridge and let them firm up
and then we will package them.
Okay, time to package.
Now, full disclosure, I ordered cookie bags
and they are too small for my cookies.
I went a little too big, but that's okay.
This is a Ziploc bag and I just cut the top part off
and I'm going to take my sticker and put it down first.
I learned the hard way with the first one I packaged.
If you put the sticker on after the fact,
you get all of the bumps from the cookie.
You don't want to do that.
You want to press that down there
and get that nice and smooth.
Then I'm going to take this cookie
and I'm going to put it into this corner of the bag,
right under the sticker, okay?
Then I'm just going to wrap my bag around to the back.
And I told you I made those little labels to seal this shut.
Let me show you what I'm going to do.
I'm going to turn this over.
All right, so I've got him turned over.
I'm going to pull this back to the back
and I'm going to use my sticker to seal this shut,
just like this.
So my little Santa approved sticker
is going to seal that down.
And there it is packaged.
Isn't it pretty?
I think that's really pretty.
All right, and I have two of them
and I'll show you what I mean
because I did this without the bag being flat.
It didn't stick as well for me.
So make sure you do it while the bag is still flat.
All right, that's two.
Let's package the others.
All right, you guys, look how beautiful these are.
These are our peppermint chip.
Aren't they gorgeous?
These are our merry cheesecake.
And then lastly, our cranberry orange.
I just think they are stunning.
And how easy was that to do?
I did not turn on the oven.
The hardest thing I did was mix a little bit of extract
into that frosting and make those stickers.
And the stickers were super easy.
Sat down and did that
right before I came into the kitchen
and they were ready to go.
Best part is now that I have all of these built
in the printer, no matter how many of these I need,
I can just go back and print more.
And don't forget, we have all our bonus stickers too
that we can use for gift wrapping and things like that.
All right, you guys, a big thank you to Lian
for reaching out and asking me to create this video.
I appreciate them sponsoring today's video
and I had a lot of fun doing it.
I hope you try this one out.
Also in the comments, give me some recipes.
What would you come up with with the cookies?
What could you, what kind of flavors could you do?
I think that'd be fun for us to do.
I'll put these recipes in the description for you.
Till next time, bye now.
