What’s up, guys? There will be some big changes coming to David’s Been Here in the coming months and years, and as my audience, I think you deserve to know why…

I’ve done a lot in my career as a travel content creator. I’ve traveled to 84 countries and over 1200 cities in my lifetime, and I’ve been creating videos and travel guides her on YouTube and on my website for over 13 years now. It has required constant travel—sometimes up to 7 huge trips per year, which has been hard on both me and my family.

So, I’ll be taking a step back from huge trips and focusing more on my own backyard. Places I can visit that don’t require a full day of travel to get to. That means, the United States, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, and parts of Europe.

The trips will be shorter—3-5 days instead of my usual 14 days—so I can diversify my content more efficiently. I’ll also be working on filming more collaborations around Miami with other content creators, chefs, celebrities, and more.

I have multiple new channels in the works, which I will talk a bit more at a later time. I want to share my passions with you guys, from food and culture on David’s Been Here, to fitness, to full-on documentary-style episodes chronicling my entire experiences in cities around the world, sharing the stories that didn’t make it in my regular episodes.

I also explain why I don’t get involved in political conflicts in other countries around the world and why I feel it’s not my place to share my opinions. I also tease some ideas that have been brewing for a while and would love your input on them, so feel free to share your thoughts with me below!

All in all, even though I’m proud of the work I’ve done, I want to make David’s Been Here even better. Better in terms of my own goals, but also better for you guys. I want you to get even more out of the content I create. You guys are the reason why I’ve been able to live out my dreams for over a decade, and I owe you that much.

I love you guys so much. Thank you for everything, and I hope you’ll stick with me as we grow and expand David’s Been Here to new heights. I’m so excited to share even more of my ideas and passions with you, and I really want to build an amazing and inclusive community here. And I can’t wait for you to be a part of it.
