The Treehouse, Mask in the Forest by Moguang Studio is a compact elevated retreat in Suizhou that carefully responds to its constrained, tree-filled site by lifting the structure above the ground to preserve existing roots and natural terrain. Organized into an open, social ground level and private guest rooms above, the design emphasizes movement and spatial experience through a rotated staircase and irregular geometry shaped by the surrounding trees. Large geometric openings frame curated views of the forest, while materials like charred cedar and reflective metal help the building blend into its environment, creating a quiet, immersive architecture that feels both integrated with and gently distinct from the landscape.
