Friday Night Quarterfinals in Charleston featuring Pegula, Keys, and more | WTA Match Highlights

What a sly shot there from Schneider. That has to be the point and the shot of the week. Incredible. She had the whole court to win the match and she just pushed it back to Schneider. Pegula with the first serve. Pegula with another win and that's 22 victories in 2026 and nine sets that she's had to play in her three matches here in Charleston. She's been living dangerously defending her title but what a year it's been in deciding sets. That's now nine out of ten matches won when it has gone the distance. What a competitor. Schneider played her part. Two brilliant sets but she wasn't able to keep it going in the third. Pegula 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Clean strike. I don't know whether she was affected by the side serving there. Just 74 but that's also a good example of what Kies can do. Nicely played. Didn't panic there. Bencic. It's gotten up high. It really isn't coming up towards Bencic. She's got some time on that return. Brilliantly finished off. Finding herself at the net really helped her there Kies. Kies is back in the Charleston semi-final for the fourth time. The biggest win of the season for Kies and maybe that's what she needed to just get her season going. She's played some good tennis but that will mean a lot to Madison Kies. She loves Charleston. One of her favorite places and she'll love that scoreline. 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to the fifth seed. Oh makes it lovely. Oh lands this one absolutely perfectly. Oh just about catching the line there. Classy touch. The champion. Her last victory coming 1990. Carefully watched. Outstanding. Kessler just up in the ante. This time she gets it done. It's a win for Stara Dubseva of Ukraine who makes it into a first ever tour level semi-final. Nicely done. Well what a start Ivi Jovic has made here. Cannot put a foot wrong here Jovic. Wow that's better. And their names. Yes. Oh come on that is a brilliant point from Kalinskaya. Now she's there. What a game Ivi Jovic has put together there. And it goes. Ivi Jovic continues her journey in Charleston. Semi-finals are calling for the 18 year olds and what a day it's turning into for the American players here on home soil as Jovic follows Kies and Pegula who have already booked their spot in the semi-finals. And Jovic she should be delighted with this one. 6-3, 6-4. What a win.
