A man trapped in an endless underground corridor must find a way out in Exit 8 (2026) — a psychological horror thriller based on the hit indie video game of the same name.

The film follows a man known only as “The Lost Man”, who suddenly finds himself trapped in a looping subway passageway. The rules for escaping are simple but terrifying: if he notices anything unusual, he must turn back immediately; if everything looks normal, he must keep moving forward toward Exit 8. But if he misses even a single anomaly, he is sent back to the beginning, trapped in an endless loop.

Directed by Genki Kawamura, the film expands the minimalist horror concept of the video game into a psychological and emotional story about fear, responsibility, and personal decisions. The film premiered at major film festivals including Cannes and is scheduled for a wider theatrical release in 2026.

Blending psychological horror, surreal storytelling, and suspense, Exit 8 delivers a unique and unsettling cinematic experience set in a nightmarish looping reality.
