Above the Below (2026) | Official Trailer | Lionsgate
They survived the fall from space. Now they have to survive the ocean. Above the Below (2026) is a tense sci-fi survival thriller starring Idris Elba, Caitlin FitzGerald, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.
The film follows three astronauts who survive a catastrophic return to Earth, only for their capsule to crash into the ocean and sink into the crushing depths below. Cut off from mission control and running out of oxygen, the crew must make impossible choices about who will risk everything to reach the surface — and who may be left behind. Co-directed by Idris Elba and Martin Owen, Above the Below turns a space mission gone wrong into a claustrophobic fight for survival beneath the sea.
