Hey everybody, this is PJ Reilly from Lancaster Archery in our video studio today with a new
product we wanted to tell you about, especially as we're heading into Total Archery Challenge
and 3D season. This is the Robin Hood Release Holster from the folks at Ivory Holsters.
So this is going to be a holster for your archery release. There's two versions.
There's going to be a standard version and there's going to be a UV version.
The UV version is only going to work with UltraView releases. Talk about that in a second.
So, but what is it? It's a holster for your releases. Pop it in there. Always keep that
handy. You know, we don't, if you're not wearing a belt quiver, you're not going to have a release
pouch. You know, this is better than your pocket. You can mount this on your belt. You can mount it
on what we're seeing a lot of folks doing is a lot of, you're usually going to be wearing a chest
harness with your binoculars and maybe a range finder in it. You can mount it right on there.
Boom, you got your release nice and handy. So a couple features we want to run through first.
Right here, you're going to see we've got these springs. I pull those down and then
that allows me to access, you know, this would be if I clipped it on my belt or onto a MOLLE strap
on my chest harness. And then I just simply close it down and then it is locked into place there.
Now, however, this opening it up also exposes these screws. So you're going to notice here
these three holes right now, the way I have it configured it, my release harness or my release
holster is going to sit vertically. It's going to sit this way. So this is probably how I would have
it on my chest harness. However, if I went to my belt, I may want to pivot so that it's sitting
this way and then I can have it just to keep it secure. So that's going to be where these three
holes come into play. And as you can see right now, the way I have it oriented, it is vertical.
There's the third one. If I took out this screw and pivoted this piece, that's going to then
have it sit. So my holster is like in this position with the belt clip still in this position.
Basically, I'm taking this and I'm just rotating this part around this way so that it can sit on
my belt. That's how I would do it. If I had it on my waist belt, I'd have the release sitting up.
But so you can make those adjustments as you need to. But what we've got here is, you know,
this is holding the release in there and how it's doing that is by this right here. You can see that
Allen screw in there. What that's doing is it's taking this piece and you can drive it in or out
to match, to get it exactly where you need it for your release. Just snaps in there and now that's
holding it in place. Obviously, if I had a little different configuration of release, I could pull
that out. I could drive it in a little more. And then when it comes time to pull it out,
nice and simple. They tell you to put the bottom of the release in first and then push it in.
That's how you get it access to your release. Holds it nice and snug. So what I'll tell you
is the folks from Ivory Holsters, they have verified a series of releases from B3, Scott,
Stan, Carter, and Trueball that this will fit. They say they have not tested all the releases.
So you, there may be a release out there that this will work with that they don't have,
they have not verified. But if you go on our website, click the link in the description,
we have listed the releases that are verified to work with this holster.
Other releases, you're going to have to test that for yourselves. We have not tested every
release to see which one it fits, but I can tell you there definitely are releases that this does
not fit. So just be aware of that when you are buying one of these. Then, you know, as we mentioned,
we have the UV version and the current one that Ivory Holsters makes, the current Robin Hood
holster, UV, it's listed as that, will work with medium size only the UV button and the UV hinge.
So large is not going to work with this. We're told that they are working on a large version
of holsters for the UV releases, but currently it's only going to fit the mediums. So the hinge
and the button, same thing. You're just going to clamp that in there. Again,
holds it nice and solid. Comes time to pop it out. There you go. And the reason that there is a
difference, I'll show you, is the shape inside. So you can see the different shape inside there,
why there's a different version that's kind of universal, I'll call it, and a UV specific
holster. Because of that different shape inside there, it's just going to capture the different
releases. UV has a little bit different shape. So they need a specific holster for their releases.
And of course, you know, a lot of folks at those Total Archery challenges,
UV button in particular is a hot release out there. So you want to have a holster that's
made just for those UV releases out there on the Total Archery challenges. But even if you're
bowhunting, you know, this could be super handy to have on your bino harness. If you're bowhunting,
you know, it's always going to be in reach. You're not trying to fumble in your pocket to find your
release when you're bowhunting. You've got it right there, ready to go when it comes time to
take the shot. All right. So those are the Robin Hood release holsters from the folks at Ivory
Holsters. You've got the standard. I'll call it standard. And you've got the UV. How they're
listed on the website is it's just the Robin Hood release holster and the Robin Hood UV release
holder. That's the way they are listed on our website. So you can tell the difference between
the two. Again, if you want to see both of these versions on our website, be sure to click the link
in the description below. The one for the regular holster will have our list of releases that it's
proven to work with. If you like this video, give us a thumbs up. If you want to see more videos
