Morocco vlog - beautiful nature, fossil factory& riding a camel for the first time

Good morning, we're on our way to the desert now and I just bought some postcards because my host sister from the U.S., for everyone who didn't know, I did a year in the U.S. when I was in 11th grade and she texted me and she asked me if we want to be pen pals and I thought it was a very very cute idea so now I just got a card for her and for myself and I'm gonna write something on it later and then hopefully find a post office here somewhere so I can send it to her. We are still on our way, I think it's still two more hours but we're in one of the oases right now and they're actually so big and the light here is just beautiful yeah we're just driving through the prettiest nature I will show you. I've never seen something like this before so it's very interesting but yeah basically we are on our way to go to our hotel and then tomorrow we have our camel trip. I'm gonna ride the camels and I know that it's a very not the best topic and I was thinking about doing it or not doing it but then our guide also said like it's just something you know to experience and to experience the culture and everything that is good and yeah so that's why I want to do it the whole group is doing it and I think it's going to be a once in a lifetime experience so I'm excited and then we're gonna sleep at one of the desert camps. I'm also very excited for that one because I think it's also going to be very different from all the other hotels that we stayed at but yeah I'm excited okay it's time for another room tour. Here is the entrance then when you come in there's one bed and then you have another bed there and then this is where my parents sleep and then you come in here which is the bathroom on camera it doesn't look very pink but it's very pink but it's very cute this is me hello and yeah all those cute little windows and lamps I really like it it's so cute and yeah we're in the desert now so tomorrow I'm very excited to see it I've never been to the desert but this is super cute and then when you come out here you have a little terrace and then you have all the palm trees which are the date trees which is so interesting because we're like the region here it's like a it's a date region so you should usually buy your dates when you're here because they're really really good quality and also not very expensive it's so beautiful here we just had breakfast and now we have some free time so I'm gonna go get my postcard and write my postcard to Mia which is my host sister and I think then I still have some time to read my book I just got a new book because I started reading this author called I think and I really liked his book the house across the lake so now I got his second book which is the only one left I think so I'm very excited to read that and I'm just gonna sit somewhere in the sun read it and then I think at 11 30 we're gonna go and have a look at the city that's close to here and then have the canal ride later our first stop of the day is a fossil factory so we're gonna learn something because it's all like a lot of it is found here in this area and so yeah we're gonna do a little tour and they will he also just explained to us that the brown is copper and then the black one is not sure what it's called in german uh yeah in english but yeah super interesting and all of this is not polished yet so that's why he put water on top of it so we can see it better yes basically all the red you can see here is copper so beautiful yeah so all these plates you can see are there for table making and one of those plates is usually around 1000 to 4000 euros basically to go from this to this to polish it you do it with chalk and denim so they have a lot denim here and then they polish it i think those are called desert roses and i love them because i also i collect a lot of i collect a lot of crystals so i have one of this very small so our guide just explained to us that if you see those things at the market then that's actually henna and if you put liquid water with it then it gets red usually if you see those those are the ones with worse quality so they're usually for animals or something and then those are the ones for humans the good ones if i remember correctly it's crazy there's so many details everywhere and all the doors and all the mosaics and everything so much work we're in kasini right now which is a place in the desert and it's actually so nice because it's one of the first places where it's actually like kind of quiet not a lot of tourists and yeah just very peaceful we're like we're surrounded by palm trees and this beautiful mausoleum what i just told you um yeah but it's actually so nice because you can just breathe and relax so It's very cute, isn't it? We just arrived at our little desert camp, it's so cute, honestly this is so beautiful right now. The camera doesn't show it justice, but this was so amazing, once in a lifetime, and yeah I'm just very excited. I think we're gonna have dinner in a second, see our rooms, and then tomorrow morning I think I'm gonna try and watch the sunrise with my dad, I think at 4 a.m., so really really early, but I feel like if you're here, you should definitely do it. Room tour time, here's our terrace, you can't really see right now, but it's beautiful and I think over there we can see the sunrise, which I'm so excited for, and then this is our little room, my parents are sleeping here, and then I'm sleeping there, and then this is the bathroom, shower, toilet, and me. Good morning, it's 7 a.m., but me and my dad, we wanted to see the sunrise, so we did a little hike on one of the hills, and there you have the Dramadars, and there's the sunrise in a second. I'm so happy, we found my Dramadar from yesterday, so I just gave her a big cuddle, and now we're going to go for a little walk, she's so cute, and she's the tiniest of all of them, the other ones are bigger, and she's smaller, and she's also the only white one, and she has a little cute, colourful saddle, I love her, she's so cute. We are waiting to be picked up now, and then I think we're gonna have a pretty long walk today, not walk, ride. We're gonna see another oasis, and then that, I'm not sure, but I don't know if you noticed, but the flies here are very, very annoying. If I understand it correctly, those were all like entrances for the slaves back then, to get inside of the canals, so yeah, but fortunately they're not being used anymore, because now they have more modern systems for it. So basically, this is where they came in, and then all of here, these are the tunnels for the water. We just had lunch, I had an omelette with some vegetables, and now we're here, because we're going on a little walk, this is so nice. So that means we have a new room tour, this is the room, very cute, I'll show you the outside in a second, because that one's beautiful, but also this, so cute, and they always have those things here, with like the natural faucets and everything, because it's made here, obviously It's very, very cute, and then this is the foyer, which is so beautiful, and then let's see, we can go over here, and I think there we have a really, really nice view, and I think we also have a pool, so I wanna check out the pool, oh wow, okay, this is so nice, wow. I just took a shower, because I swam a little bit, in our pool, down there, which was really nice, and then I read a little bit, and yeah, now I wanted to take a shower, I did, but I'm freezing, because we don't have hot water right now, so yeah, I don't know, but it's fine, I just put on my hoodie, and now I'm enjoying the view, because it's so beautiful, again, but look at this, so yeah, I'm just enjoying the view, and then I'm gonna sit somewhere and read some more, and then we'll have dinner later, and tomorrow we're leaving again, so we're basically only staying like one night at every hotel, in fact we were there for a few nights, but all the other ones were just there for a night, usually, but yeah, every single one of them has been so pretty, so yeah, I'm very grateful for every single day that I'm here, and yeah, I think this vlog is gonna be very, very nice to remember everything. But yeah, over there, you have a little city, and then you have the beautiful nature, and then there's gonna be the sunset later, I think, and then there, I think we have, yeah, I guess another city, and it's just, I love sunlight, oh. Okay, well, I think there's a donkey, but yeah, this is just absolutely stunning, and then you have the atlas, I think, over there. This is so interesting, that's bulgur pasta with cinnamon and sugar.
