Thank you very much to Goldmark TV and to our fantastic new partner Pottery This is Dyma Pottery with Mike Dodd I'm so grateful to have these people with me today It's going to carry on with us and chat briefly about some of the Pottery in this summer's show e stories the legends available to them Mike that's been work over the past three years but in reality it's far more than that Moreover a great deal of knowledge experience and expertise has been built up for this project Do you remember playing with a Cleo doll a little one about sixty years ago I was thinking I was about 14 years old in school Available from Mr Potter What's been kept what's been kept the interesting and the interesting Some people enjoy playing table tennis I've gone ahead and taken the pot and I was feeling Well the school were having a lively discussion about interesting topics in the middle of school I was developing it one day with Don I was looking forward to winning Don and so was I e found this that's exactly what has come to pass Yeah yeah I wasn't sure about it when I first left the house but it started happening to me Yeah I mean I like that I really like the idea of being different you know knowing that you're being yeah We chose this house after all perhaps you could say a few words about it mobilizing something we've already discussed before this ere are many important aspects to your portfolio many of which are building a house that once again helps bring out the best from those shadows Yes I believe perhaps you will meaning the house will be the one to change the road but the art will come from the road yes for example campaigning they're on summer holiday it means putting off and I believe the artist will address that it's giving things In the middle if you're a follower or a seeker it gives you things because I know when you'll beg e latest when you see people starting to paint they do one way on the paint I'll show you the form that one and that one Alright In the meantime you'll receive the book Alright There are many ways that are likely to be similar to the many places you've lived but they're He has been a constant presence for years I'm not sure in Wales Felly onward I've been looking at some websites in Wales elling me that the Welsh Social Enamel They were achieved with 20% success and I thought I couldn't rely on such limited success Felly I've bought a few different kinds of fries I've tried that and I was asking at the University of Social Sciences As I was saying how do you feel about those enamel roads They said oh something between 750 and 1 100 I was saying well that's not really helpful you know what are these so-called rights It's a big part That's what they're saying I mean in any way I've tried all the different approaches around I've been feeling it since around 860 870—whatever that means I had some colleagues from the society I hope they're notified now but enamel colors I've already sent those over I was really into playing with that and to be honest I'd say it felt really tough I joined the right society of the colleges to our paths in truth In truth we've already got some enamel coatings advancing here on this table If you're following us I was first drawn to some of these little collections here It's great for these small things It's giving a little bit of life to Yes well I've done it Just a few perhaps 25 different colors but not all of them are the colors I use so This way and that way are going well together Yes This right feels good I can tell I like these turkeys they're plump and all this is ways the three ways Some people are saying this is the work of the pranksters since they believe this is a joke I also wanted to mention this wonderful coincidence which says something recent Recently In truth there are many good examples following us here That is the house I've used for the first pots we've seen In reality it's out of reach in Wales this house is Allan off the back of the house in Wales and I'm giving about 20% off the price of this home 80% honey 20% cobalt and it gives the honey a beautiful hue I believe the cobal Arferol lately to me This is the house lately More like the gets accomplished I'm not involved I'm not making an effort This happens over human time That is in any way whenever you are traveling I'm sitting with the pots observing the patterns to see what the paths are suggesting for the next steps There must be a way for me to develop it The paths on these stones are what will guide the next paths We carried out a series of events across Wales with some local volunteers There was a small maze of paths I think oh that's really good I'm working on that and it's by far the best way Felly I know every path is advising something else If you're willing to That's why Bower's mountains are one of the Paradise valleys that inspire writing across all valleys That is writing for all the years so perhaps we aren't the first We can write our own music very well Painting pottery dancing and singing It helps I believe it helps open people up a bit to new ideas hopefully After all these years is there still no hope at all So when you open the box and see what's come out what's working Anhygoel Yes I believe one is a little impossible otherwise as you know after the period the best way to obtain the period of clarity you can have It's the most effective way of achieving what you want You hope that all the ways you've put your heart into will be rewarded It's not always the case you know it doesn't happen often Whatever decision you make may these past few years be like the years before You're deciding them all out They're exactly what I think of all ways and I believe it's important for the public to feel safe regarding everything they think about in every way I'm doing my best to fulfill what needs to be done publicly especially since you might be sharing it and the event of the work If you carry on here and look at the largest parts you'll find That's very safe I believe is the green Tomoku Well I believe there are around 250 distinct Tomokus in Wales I'd been told this is actually safe from the Thumbria with 10% of paths Basalt That's the same Basalt Isn't that beautiful the idea Yes yes We have also received some of these beautiful decorative flourishes engaged in trying to see various different forms It also I believe is a unity Another one Yes yes And this one It's about the way without you implying it safely I know For many years I didn't want to let them go Anyway I was thinking well that's not particularly appealing to me you know Well I don't think that's quite enough but I was considering what people might think I had shown Rufford one year earlier and they had given that to me in an incredibly generous way I had asked I'm a wheel I'm a wheel of momentum because that's what I use They had produced this incredibly difficult puzzle and when the challenge was complete everyone was exhausted Together I was doing one of those things just showing and I was and I said you know I think people would try this with salt and all sorts of different methods I kept thinking why am I not doing this more often So then I started doing them People love them that's what they say that's what they write—Lizard Skin New Lychin new Lychin I think that's the right name It constantly makes me think of various salt flats or The mud pan is rising and it's beginning to crack It's a bit like a child really One of the differences from a child is When it's over it's over Can you see that You don't realize just how significant this difference is If you've seen yourself doing this part it appears That is you're placing the cylinder and then applying the design onto the cylinder It's clearly different in the other cylinder Then I'll place the clamp over it on the cylinder apply the design onto the cylinder apply the design across the different parts I know there are different technologies available so I can choose the design that best fits Some people use two-tone on it I'm not sure what the design is to achieve different effects I'm using a Chinese clay and a ball clay China's ball is a ball of silk But when it passes through if you feel this They come from these very places so you should feel only the difference and the distinction When you use the design then you can feel unique If you'really pushing it hard everything's going to go sideways so it looks pretty alarming I think that's a bit unfair on your part since you have so muc Different challenges you'll be working with them are coming from these for them make sure things are going in the right direction clearly I think a slight difference Temacus is a tricky one always finding its way You must be very careful when using distinctions Moreover it's important to be inside so the way you behave must be significant I'm really looking forward to your comment aren't you Yes yes I can see this mixture is good It's a grayish blue with specks on the surface Come see some of these lovely ceramic pots on the market I think you were talking about that stone at Penly Water Yes this is water that Bill Marshall gave me when he was teaching me At the college oh my where was he In Cornwall I know the name of the place I was there for a while and I was talking with them I would never have expected to see them again Bob was in his late twenties and I had always loved these conversations I remember him teaching the Cornish language here and when he chose it this way he said there would be those who would engage Well now It was quite something to say about the pot and he said I know the peddwl Here it gives you plenty of good coverage if you grind it to 200 mesh which is very good I think I'm grinding somewhere
