Pussycat Dolls Talk Reunion Tour and Why the Group is Now a Trio

The city concert series on today is proudly sponsored by city. Welcome back that song that you're hearing on this Friday morning is the newest single by the legendary girl group, the pussycat dolls, it's called club song. You know the band skyrocketed to fame 2 decades ago with iconic hits like don't chat and buttons and they went on to earn a Grammy nomination for their song stick with us now after a 6 year hiatus, the ladies are back this time as a trio and they're celebrating new music plus going out on tour and they're making a reunion stop right here on today, Kimberly Wyatt, Nicole Scherzinger and Ashley Roberts good morning, ladies. I believe it's been 20 years since that debut out what's it like getting the band back together. It feels epic I can't believe it's been 20 years. But to be able to link up at this point in our lives feeling nice and grounded ready to sort of sell on this new adventure together is just amazing. And actually the last time you perform together was 2020 so here we are in 2026 you get the call let's do this reunion, I mean does make you nervous, you excited, how do you feel everything haha all wrapped up in one, but I mean we're we're women now right before you fabulous excited to get back on that stage share that energy with the fans perform our songs everybody knows and loves plus some new things we've got going on. And I'm just excited like as I like I like as I said being a woman putting the outfit back on in our superhero self. Yeah to reclaim the pussycat doll with in this in this era in our life and the women that we have involved to become and are still becoming is super exciting and empowering and the pussycat doll with it. I love that superhero so what is the prep look like for going out on a big tour we doing like intense workouts, what are like what's that look like a lot of stretch. Yeah. Didn't need to warm up so warm up extra now. No, but it's exciting we're about to we've been thrown around ideas, I mean 2 decades, we've known each other so we've got so much love so much so many creative ideas that we can't wait to to throw at this tour, something to reconnect with the old fans but give some for the new generation and new fans. As you probably know some former members of the pussycat dolls that made some headlines recently. After they found out that you guys are coming back as a trio not as the original group of how how did you arrive at that decision. Well, I mean listen. We are just we are like we're so as women today. I mean it has been an ever changing lineup and you know this is what it looks like now in 2026, you never know what comes next. I think ultimately we've got to protect our peace and when when something like the pussycat dolls has so much history. We have ruptured in the past and right now we are repairing and we're sort of on the same page with that but what I wanted to say was that we have so much love and respect for all of the women that have been part of the league, the city legacy and once doll always a doll. And you know a couple of names that we know now open for you guys back in the day I think about you know like Lady gaga and Rihanna, I mean it's a while to think like who they are now that you guys work together back in the day. Yeah, Rihanna, I mean I remember SOS like yeah, she's going to do all right. And her bubble out that on the piano haha yeah, I mean how grateful are we though that we got to share the stage with exactly and then in the States we supported like a black eyed peas. Yeah, it's amazing. For you this time. I'm not he's clean. I can just feel it. Yeah right now okay, you guys have been posting on tiktok the dances are getting a lot of attention do you want to show us. I mean are you in the mood. Well, I want to see you do it first. Maybe after haha going. Let's see let's see maybe we should have. I just want to. Yeah, the girl a club song, okay, and look at her go. Yeah, okay, yeah, got it out.
