Solo Autumn Wild Camp in the Woods with Me🍁 🍄 Sleeping in the Woods by a Stream 🏕️

Hello friends welcome back to the channel and another adventure in the forests of Wales It's a rainy blustery autumn day and I'm going to be finding a secret camp spot somewhere in this forest to camp for the night Usually on the channel we tend to do quite a lot of mountain and wild camping just because that's where I like to walk and hike but it's nice especially when the weather starts to cool down to head out to these more secluded woodland spots for a campout where it's not too cold The temperature difference down here in the The difference in temperature between the forest and a mountain at this time of year is quite significant and camping down in the woods just makes it a little more comfortable That being said it is proving a bit challenging a little bit tricky to find a spot that's away from the trail and also flat Most of this fores It's located on the side of a hill so I'll need to thoroughly search the undergrowth for a spot where I can set up my tent comfortably I've also noticed a lot of badger activity And some digging and I really don’t want to pitch anywhere near badgers So I think I've found my spot for the night right here—I'm going to set up the tent and then maybe grab some dinner on the go I'm right by this stream you can see there so that'll be a good source of water for me since I didn't bring much today so I can use some from the stream if needed and yeah just a kind of a peaceful little cove beneath these absolutely enormous beech trees It's approaching 5 p m now and the sun sets at 6 so I'm quickly running out of light so I'm jus I'm going to wriggle around a bit and get my sleep system set up as quickly as possible I just wanted to show you a new addition Obviously I did the wild camping video in the spring where I showed my type of winter setup I'll link that below if you're interested but it included It's my Sierra Designs Backcountry bed which is this huge down sleeping bag and that's what I always use and also the OEX Flux 2 I actually have a new additio owever I'm going to be using tonight is this cotton sleeper I'm going to slip inside my Sierra Designs sleeping bag just for that extra layer of warmth I think most people probably wouldn't need this but I get cold very easily and I don't like being cold I like to be warm comfortable so this is going in the bag as well The sleep system is set up I'll just give you Just a quick peek in there and I'll be in there soon—I'm going to make some food first and then maybe get in and yeah just chill out I'm losing the light quite quickly It's definitely It's going to be a long night—I’ve got about 12 hours in there so it must be cozy right This is my dinner for today—beef nasi goreng basically spicy fried rice with beef It's an army ration pack I got from the surplus store I think I'm just going o use the water for the stream to boil this since I'm not drinking it and I'll save the res water I bought specifically for drinking I've also added this small upgrade to my camping setup as well which is a full light I can use at night if I don't want to use the head torch for No reason It's quite good I just got it from Amazon because sometimes I don't want to use it a headlamp or I want to use the headlamp and illuminate the campsite simultaneously so this can be Quite useful for that I do think it might attract a lot of bugs though so I'm going to try this out and see how I fare tonight too Last night it was so loud all night I’d forgotten just how loud it is sleeping in the forest There was also so much wind and rain I didn't think it could be that intense The forecast was bad actually I'm always amazed this tent keeps standing every time I can't believe it still holds up The sun's coming up—gives you a better view
