Guqin is an ancient Chinese musical instrument that stretches back into the mists of China's dynasty past. Said to be able to communicate some of the deepest and most profound feelings, it was once seen as a near-vanishing traditional culture. Wang Rui spoke to a guqin maker in the Chinese capital Beijing to check out the detailed and elaborate efforts involved in the making of the ancient instrument.
