Most beginners aim their bow the wrong way. A very common mistake is staring at the sight pin and trying to hold it perfectly still on the target. Ironically, this usually makes aiming harder and causes the sight to move even more.

Instead of focusing on the sight, your eyes should be focused on the target itself. When you look at the target, the sight pin naturally floats in front of it and your brain can use its natural hand eye coordination to keep the bow aimed properly.

In this video I demonstrate why focusing on the target leads to steadier aiming, less anxiety, and better shots.

Learning to accept the natural float of the sight is one of the biggest breakthroughs any archer can make.

If you’re struggling with aiming, try this approach and see how much easier it becomes.
