Fuumuui 3pcs Genuine Squirrel Hair Travel Brushes With Pocket
https://fuumuuiart.com/collections/tr...
Hello, in this video, I'm really excited to share my new series with you, which will be called my sketchbook series.
So, in this series, I will be taking you along with me as I fill up my sketchbook, page by page.
In our first video, it is going to be all about painting with gouache.
I will be using Himi gouache today as I'm sure you guys have seen this gouache set before.
Since it's become pretty popular for a while now.
I have the 24 color set and the set does come with 3 brushes.
However, I'm not going to use this brush today.
I'm going to give some brushes from Fumui a try.
I really hope I pronounce the brand's name correct here.
Anyway, they are travel brushes.
Once it got assembled, it will look like this.
The end of the brush cap has a hole as you can see here,
which is likely used for ventilation to allow the brush to dry while the cap is on.
Although we won't be drawing outside today,
I still want to try out the travel brushes that Fumui so kindly sent it to me.
I'm really excited to see how it works.
So, let's give it a go.
But first things first, let's do some peeling ASMR.
Ta-da!
Look at all these gorgeous colors.
I'm so glad that I have my camera to capture all of these beautiful colors.
This pinkish color one is definitely my favorite color.
I'm going to do a swatch of all of the colors and give you my first impressions of using gouache.
While I was swatching the color, for me, I find that the texture of gouache feels a bit like mayonnaise.
I did some research and discovered that you can use it like watercolor by adding water,
and it can also be paint over like acrylic paint.
Today, I'm going to fill up a spread in my sketchbook using gouache,
so you can see how it's used in action.
I'm going to use a cute cat photo I found on Pinterest as a reference to draw.
I will be leaving you guys to enjoy the painting process while listening to some calming music,
and I will catch up with you at the end of the video.
So, sit back, relax, and enjoy.
And that is a wrap!
Painting with gouache on my sketchbook was so much fun.
The colors of the Himi gouache set are absolutely gorgeous,
and the Fumui travel brushes did not disappoint.
The bristles are well packed, and the handles feel comfortable to hold while using them.
I really hope I get a chance to use them outside one day.
Also, I'm really glad my sketchbook could hold up with the gouache paint.
The sketchbook I'm using is still from the brand Edo Sketchbook.
Thanks for watching guys, and I hope you are as excited as I am for the upcoming videos in this My Sketchbook series as well.
Alright, see you in my next video. Bye!
