What A Wonderful World - Sheridan Brass
About an hour out of Bishkek, Kegeti Gorge opens up into this huge green valley that honestly doesn’t even feel real. It’s wide and wild, and stretches for about 27 km, full of trees, meadows, berries, and all kinds of wildlife. There’s a clear lake called Kel-Tor, a river running through it, and a 30-meter waterfall that makes a little cameo in the video. People come here to hike, bike, or hop on a horse, and even if you’ve never ridden one before, the locals will teach you in minutes. Not too far away, you’ll find wide open pastures and the 11th-century Burana Tower. The whole place feels less like a gorge and more like a secret mountain world.
Shooting What a Wonderful World here just felt right. It matched the song in the most natural way. We reached before sunrise hoping to catch golden light, only to realize the sun still had to climb over those massive mountains, so we ended up with three freezing hours of quiet, waiting, and just taking it all in. Honestly, no complaints.
Big shoutout to Aysha, Batherkhan, Renith, and Roma for braving the cold, the delays, and my madness to make this video happen. I couldn’t have done it without this bunch.
