Uoc Le Village is an ancient Vietnamese village located in Tan Uoc Commune, Thanh Oai District, Hanoi, about 30km southwest of the capital's center. The village is well-known for its traditional sausage and fermented pork roll making, famous throughout the country. It is also particularly known for its ancient village gate, approximately 500 years old.
Unlike other famous ancient craft villages in Vietnam such as Duong Lam Ancient Village or Cuu Phu Xuyen Ancient Village, Uoc Le Ancient Craft Village is quiet and secluded. Many tourists only know about its famous sausage, but few are aware of the ancient, moss-covered village of Uoc Le, steeped in history and deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture.

According to elderly villagers, the sausage making craft in Uoc Le Village dates back nearly 500 years. Village history also records that during the Mạc Dynasty (1527-1592), a concubine from Ước Lễ village came to build the village gate and taught the villagers the craft of making Vietnamese sausage. The villagers have preserved and passed down this craft to generations to this day.
