Antique clock with a fascinating backstory

Today I have this clock right here, which has a interesting story, so, first of all, it's been modernized, so, it's just one of those modern clock mechanisms, but this one, there is no brand name on it. And I did some research about this style of clock, and it seems like they were used mainly in schools around the turn of the century, so 1900, and in classrooms and stuff. So, yeah, this one does look similar to that American clock from the 1800s, it looks very similar, so, that's the background of these clocks, they were used in schools. And also, this one, I bought it at a thrift store, and I also got some more stuff, I'm gonna check if I can find them. I have this, I used this to light a fire, so, I have some paintings that I bought, and this rug, so, yeah, that's the story behind this clock.
