In the Beginning The Creation Story Bible Story From Genesis

In the beginning, before mountains rose or oceans stretched across the earth, there was only God. There was no light, no sky, no land, and no living creature. The earth was without form and empty. Darkness covered everything. Yet the Spirit of God moved over the waters. Then God spoke, Let there be light. At once, light appeared. It pushed back the darkness. God separated the light from the darkness and called the light day and the darkness night. This was the first day. On the second day, God made the sky. He separated the waters above from the waters below. The wide open space stretched across the earth, and it was good. On the third day, God gathered the waters together so dry land could appear. He called the dry land earth and the water seas. Then He commanded the earth to bring forth plants, grass, and trees bearing fruit. The world began to grow green and beautiful. On the fourth day, God made the sun to rule the day and the moon to rule the night. He placed the stars in the sky. They shone brightly and marked seasons, days, and years. On the fifth day, God filled the seas with fish and great sea creatures. He filled the sky with birds of every kind. They swam and flew freely just as He designed. On the sixth day, God made animals to live on the land. Cattle, wild animals, and creeping creatures appeared. Then God said something different. Let us make man in our image. After our likeness, God formed the first man and later the first woman. He gave them authority over the earth. They were not like the animals. They could think, speak, choose, and love. They reflected God's character. God looked at everything He had made, and it was very good. On the seventh day, God rested. Not because He was tired, but because His work was complete. He blessed that day and made it holy. Creation shows us that God is powerful, wise, and intentional. Nothing happened by accident. Every detail had purpose. The light, the seas, the stars, the animals, and humanity all reveal His order and design. And the same God who created the world still speaks life today. Lesson for children. God made everything, including you. You are special and created with purpose. Reflection for adults. If God could bring order out of chaos at the beginning, He can bring order to any area of your life. Subscribe for more lineup of Bible stories.
