Bali Villa - Finalist Top 5 Building Of The Year 2025

Villa Ardjuno is located on the hilltop of Ungasan, Bali. It is a private villa built as a retreat from urban life. The villa was designed to highlight its primary view: a sweeping panorama of the open ocean overlooking Jimbaran Hill below. Given its unique location, we envisioned a beautiful natural landscape for all bedrooms, as well as the main living areas (including the kitchen and dining room), as a key design feature. Building on this fundamental idea, the villa's architecture was developed to blend with the local context, capturing the essence of the surrounding nature, particularly the stunning views of the Balinese ocean.

Villa Ardjuno features several open spaces on the ground floor, primarily the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Four bedrooms are located on the second floor above, each designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding environment.

Local Balinese stone is used as one of the primary materials, further enhanced by the addition of cream-textured paint throughout the building and cream-colored granite. The primary interior material consists of oak, all combined in a monochromatic style to create a light, calm, and relaxing feel.
