Look at this, you guys.
Oh.
If you're vegan and you love to travel,
join me on a vegan group trip in 2026
in Korea, Japan, or the Canadian Rockies.
See the description box for more information.
Hi, guys, it's Rose,
and welcome back to Cheap, Lazy, Vegan and another mukbang.
Today, you're watching another episode of Munching Mondays,
which is my mukbang series.
Mukbang is an eating show,
so we are going to eat together and we are going to chat.
So if that is your thing,
then don't forget to subscribe to my channel
and thumbs up this video.
Guys, it's been a few Mondays.
It's been a few Mondays.
We are back.
Oh my Lord.
We are back with a massive Japanese feast.
Okay, we are doing Japanese-style ramen,
which I have right here.
I got this from Jinya.
Okay, this is not sponsored,
but this place has good vegan ramen.
This is the creamy, spicy, creamy vegan or something.
This is like one of their best sellers, actually.
So I'm gonna actually throw this into a bowl.
And, oh, do I need to reheat the noodles too?
Hmm, I don't think so.
Oh, the noodles are cold.
Well, I reheated the soup,
so hopefully that's good enough.
Okay, so this right here, do I need to just,
you know what, I might need to reheat the whole thing.
Oh, guys, I'll be right back.
Okay, we're just reheating the ramen.
And while we reheat the ramen,
let me just tell you guys about the vegan tour in Japan
that is coming up.
As you guys might know,
I've been doing vegan tours now for a few years,
and it's kind of become a big part of what I do,
which I love so much,
because it's like combining two of my favorite things,
the veganism and travel.
And we are doing the first vegan food tour in Japan.
It's happening in May, you guys,
and I'm so excited because this is one of those destinations
that I wasn't even sure that I could do a vegan tour in.
And honestly, I have never been to Japan,
so I'm extra excited for that.
So guys, you gotta come, okay?
It's gonna be epic.
We're doing Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.
It is jam-packed full of so much,
so many activities, lots of food,
lots of sightseeing, lots of cultural activities.
It's gonna be amazing, and I cannot wait.
And also, I'll be there too.
We're gonna also have a local guide with us,
and it's gonna be so great, okay?
So if you wanna come along to Japan,
it's happening in May, so it's coming up fast,
and the bookings are closing very soon.
So make sure you book now.
The link is below, and you can get all of the details
and see the itinerary, and of course, book your spot.
And if you are up for another adventure right before Japan,
we are going back to Korea for a vegan food tour in Korea.
If you don't know, I did one in October last year,
and it was incredible, okay?
If you don't know, I'm Korean.
I was born in Korea, so that tour was so amazing.
And that was a sold-out tour,
and it was so fun, and it was extra special
because I'm Korean, and I speak the language,
and I know the culture, so it was extra special
to kinda bring people to my home country
and show them around and stuff.
The food was amazing, so we had to do it again ASAP.
So that's happening also in May, right before Japan.
So if you wanted to do both, you could do both,
but you could also just pick and choose
whichever one you want to do.
They're both gonna be awesome and epic, and I cannot wait.
So hopefully, I'll see you there.
All right, I reheated the ramen.
Oh, look at that.
Oh my God.
I love this ramen.
I usually go to this place, just the restaurant.
I don't usually order it in.
All right, we're gonna do a bite before we talk,
cause, look at this, you guys.
Oh, I love the noodles as well.
They're really nice and kinda thick and chewy.
Oh my God, okay, we're gonna do a bite.
Okay, I think it was a great idea to heat up everything.
Mm, mm, mm-hmm, mm.
Oh, I haven't had this in so long.
There was a time I used to go to this restaurant
all the time, and they knew who I was.
That did not go down the right hole.
I don't know what happened there.
Oh my God, my throat.
You know when something goes down the wrong hole?
It's literally hurting.
What is wrong with me?
Okay, I think I'm alive.
I also got this Brussels sprout tempura,
which I also love from this place.
Okay, I feel like I need to, okay.
And then I also got this like, oh,
my throat's still like, oh, am I okay?
I also got this, like, I got a combo.
There was an option for a combo
where I could get some impossible gyozas,
so basically vegan meat dumplings.
I got those plus like a side salad.
This is the side salad, let's try it.
While I recover from my throat,
whatever happened there.
Here's the thing about Japan, or Japanese restaurants,
they have the best salad dressing.
Oh my God, this is the dumpling sauce for the gyoza.
Guys, my throat is still like not okay.
Am I okay?
Ooh, the dumpling sauce is kind,
you know, I'm just gonna use my hands.
I also reheated the dumplings.
Whoa, wow, that is so meaty.
That is so good.
I am so excited for the food in Japan.
Oh my God, I do love Japanese food.
Obviously, Korean is my favorite,
because I'm Korean, so I'm a little biased,
but I love Japanese food.
Guys, can I do this?
My throat still feels weird.
What the hell, what's going on with my throat?
So I'm very excited to eat some Japanese ramen in Japan.
You guys, Brussels sprout tempura.
Again, this is like one of my faves from this place.
Add a little bit of hot sauce.
My friends, so a lot of people think it's like weird
that I've never been to Japan,
because I'm from Korea,
and Japan is like right next to Korea.
So I also think it's kind of weird that I've never been.
It wasn't like a deliberate decision to never go.
I think it's because when I go to that side of the world,
like I'm going to Korea.
So when I go to Korea,
like it would make sense for me to add Japan
to when I'm going to Korea.
And when I go to Korea,
usually I spend like a few weeks there,
because I'm like visiting family,
and it's not really like a vacation vacation, right?
Like I'm visiting home.
So I think like,
I don't really think to add another trip on top of it,
if that makes sense.
But Japan and Korea are very close together.
So it still doesn't make sense to me
that I've never been to Japan.
But I have been to the Japanese airport.
I've been to the Tokyo airport,
like probably like five times.
I don't know.
Like many times for like a layover.
Another tempura.
This sauce, dumpling sauce,
or whatever sauce this is.
The first time I went to the Tokyo airport,
okay, my throat like finally feels kind of normal.
That was terrifying.
I've had things go down the wrong way before,
but that was like, that was a lot, okay?
Anyway, first time I was in the Tokyo airport
was when we were doing a layover,
moving to Canada, uh-huh.
We were moving to Canada.
May I, uh, may I expose how old I am?
You guys probably know.
Moving to Canada in 1997.
The 90s, to me, still feel like it was like 20 years ago.
Wait, was it 20 years ago?
See, I can't.
No, it was 30 years ago.
See?
To me, 90s is still like 20 years ago.
But anyway, so we were moving to Canada.
So we did a stopover in Tokyo.
And honestly, the one thing I remember,
which the fact that I even remember this
shows how like shocked I was,
was how clean the bathrooms were, okay?
I remember going, and like it was very futuristic.
Okay, this is 97, 1997.
And I remember going to the bathroom,
and I still, I feel like I can still picture
the bathroom in my head.
It was like so clean, and there was like no,
it was so clean.
And I can't remember, but I think like the toilet,
like they had a bit of a,
it was like an electric toilet or something,
a little bit, you know, ahead of its time, okay?
And it was, yeah, clearly it was very memorable
because this is many years ago
that I'm still remembering this.
But yeah, that's what I remember.
I remember distinctly thinking,
oh my God, the Japanese toilets are so clean.
And now though, I can say in Korea,
like Korean toilets, I don't know why I'm talking
about toilets while I'm eating, but you know what?
We're just gonna roll with it.
Back in the day, before I moved to Canada,
public toilets in Korea were like not that great.
Like they weren't the worst.
Some of them were fine, but some of them,
you know, like less than ideal.
But now that I've been to Korea a couple of times
in the last like few years,
the toilet situation is amazing, okay?
The public toilets are clean.
Like they are all clean, okay?
Europe could never.
If you have a Jinya near you, you have to try this ramen.
Oh my God, it's so good.
More Brussels sprout.
Okay, another gyoza.
But yeah, we're gonna go back to the toilet conversation
because, oh my God, how is this, you know?
I feel like we take some of this stuff for granted,
at least I do.
I mean, in terms of new vegan products
that quickly become old.
Beyond and impossible, we forget how revolutionary
these products were.
And now we like complain about only having
like a Beyond Burger option,
which I do complain about that,
which, you know, I think it's a fair complaint,
but at the same time, it was so revolutionary
when Beyond and Impossible like first came out.
It was like, it changed the world, dare I say.
Korean toilet situation.
So basically, the last time I was in Korea was in October.
And then before that, I was in Korea in 2022.
But then before that, it had been about 11 years
since I had been to Korea.
So basically, when I went in 2022,
it was like I hadn't been there for over a decade.
So I could kind of see some of the changes.
And honestly, the biggest thing I noticed
was the toilets, okay?
I was like, oh my God, every toilet is so clean.
Like I'm talking public toilets, okay?
Just at a rest stop, when we're driving across the highway
and you stop at a rest stop,
usually, in most countries,
those toilets are like, eh, you know, at best.
Tell me why it was so clean.
I think that showed to me that Korea
became a lot more kind of tourist and foreigner-friendly.
Maybe that's part of it.
I'm sure there's other reasons as well,
but I was very impressed, okay?
Because as someone that travels Europe a lot
and has traveled Europe a lot, let me tell you guys, okay?
The fact of the matter, and also, in Europe,
you like have to pay for like half of the toilets
that you use, okay?
It's like a euro, and they're not even clean.
Like, at least if you're gonna make me pay for the toilet,
make sure it's semi-clean, okay?
Like, I've been to some, okay, you know what?
We're not gonna get into too much of this conversation.
But in Korea, A, you never have to pay for a toilet.
Like, I don't think I've ever paid for a toilet in Korea.
B, they're always clean.
So, there you go.
And like, I feel like the toilet situation,
why am I, why do I keep going on about this?
I feel like it can really add, it can really,
it can really add or take away from a travel experience.
Even just the availability of them, okay?
As someone with a tiny bladder, okay?
When I'm traveling, this is like one of my biggest things.
It's like the availability of toilets
and the cleanliness of the toilets, right?
So, when they're readily available,
which in Korea, there's like public toilets
like everywhere, okay?
When they're readily available and they're clean,
it's like immediately, I have much less to stress about.
So anyways, oh my god.
Another Brussels sprout tempura.
I'm gonna dip it in my spicy sauce.
This is just the sauce I had in my house.
Just gonna use my hand.
So yeah, you guys should come to Korea and Japan or both.
This is just soy sauce.
I feel like I'm in Asia all the time
because I do a lot of tours in Asia.
Because I love Asia.
Asia is just like so good for these vegan tours
because I feel like the food,
vegan food in Asia is like unmatched.
I think like food in general in Asia,
but because Asians eat a lot of like heavily
plant-based food and Asians eat tofu, okay?
Because of that, doing these tours,
it's like, it just makes sense.
Even in places like Korea, for example,
that you wouldn't know for sure
if there's a lot of vegan options.
When you go to the right places, like it's amazing, okay?
It's great.
And also because of Buddhism,
a lot of Asian countries like have vegan options
because Buddhism is like ingrained
in a lot of Asian countries.
Oh my God.
So in January, I did a Vietnam tour, Northern Vietnam,
and I did Thailand as well.
Both so good.
Guys, I'm telling you,
these vegan group tours are life-changing.
Like honestly, I completely mean it.
They're just so fun.
Like you spend a week with these people, okay?
So you actually become really close.
Like it's actually quite,
especially in today's day and age,
this digital age where people are lonely,
they're, people feel isolated,
and especially because veganism itself
can be quite isolating, you know?
Because like most vegans don't have like, you know,
10 vegan friends to hang out with all the time.
So just that alone,
the fact that we're hanging out with fellow vegans
is so refreshing.
And it just kind of takes you away
from the reality sometimes.
Because it's like, realistically,
we don't have 15 vegan friends to go for a meal with.
But on these tours,
you don't have to be vegan to come on these tours,
but you will be the minority.
As long as you're open-minded
and you're happy to eat vegan food
and you're not going to be like judgmental about it,
which no one has been,
like every single person that hasn't been vegan
on these tours have been perfectly great.
As long as you're like, you know, an ally,
it's totally fine to come on these tours.
But yeah, you're going to be the minority.
So like the vegans are the majority,
which is again, like kind of crazy to think about.
I wonder if slurping is rude in Japan.
Most Asian countries, slurping isn't rude, I think.
In Korea, it's not rude.
Like people slurp all the time.
But Japan, I feel like people are like
really polite in Japan.
We'll find out.
This straight up tastes like a meat dumpling.
It's crazy.
Oh my God.
So anyway, I was in Vietnam and Thailand.
Tell me why I want to go back to those countries
like next year.
The Vietnam tour, we went to Halong Bay
and we did a cruise, like an overnight cruise
in Halong Bay,
which already I had never been to Halong Bay.
So that was like a big part of my bucket list.
And that was like basically why I wanted to do Vietnam again
because I did Vietnam in 2022,
but we didn't go to Halong Bay.
So this time I was like, I definitely want to do Halong Bay.
It was so much better than I even imagined
because the cruise was actually quite fancy.
Like it was very nice.
I don't know what I was expecting.
I knew we were doing an overnight cruise,
but I didn't know.
I didn't look up pictures of the boat
and I hadn't been either.
So I didn't know what it was going to look like,
but tell me why it was so amazing.
It was so beautiful.
Like I wanted to stay there an extra night.
We only did one night,
but yeah, as soon as we went to the Halong Bay thing
and we did a lot of other cool things as well,
I was like, I want to do this tour again.
Like literally this exact tour.
Also, there's so many places I want to go
and so many places I want to do a tour in,
but I like can't decide where to go.
Like the thing with these tours is like,
I can only do so many a year, right?
As fun as they are, they can be quite tiring.
So I need to like decide which ones to do.
So I'm like torn between, okay,
do I do Thailand again, for example,
or do I try to do a new country?
Like somewhere new, somewhere I haven't been
or somewhere I've never done a tour in.
Oh my God.
So you know what I want to do, you guys?
I'm going to have a Google form linked below
asking you questions.
Like if you are only fill it out,
you guys, if you're actually genuinely interested
in coming on a trip with me,
because otherwise it like doesn't really help
if you just fill it out, if you're kind of like eh,
not that interested, but like, let me fill it out for fun.
No, please be actually genuinely interested.
Fill it out, let me know what you think
because I have a whole bunch of places that I have in mind
and I don't know yet.
Like I don't know where to go.
One thing I really want to do,
which is kind of out there,
is do a hiking tour in Machu Picchu.
The thing with that one though,
is that it's definitely not for everybody
because it is quite intense in terms of like
the amount of hiking that you do.
So you kind of have to have like a certain level
of like athleticism, I guess.
I mean, I'm not like super fit,
but I'm pretty confident that I could do it
even though it would probably be like challenging.
So I want to do that,
but I just don't know how many people would want to do
like an intense sort of hiking outdoorsy adventure.
Cause that's one place I really want to go to,
is Machu Picchu.
But yeah, I definitely want to do
like a hiking thing in Machu Picchu,
but I don't know if other people would be interested.
I don't know.
What do y'all think?
So yeah, Machu Picchu is potentially a future trip,
but I haven't decided.
Cause there are options to do like a non hiking,
like not a really intense multi-day trek for Machu Picchu.
And you can just like do like a less intense version,
but I kind of want to do the intense version.
You know what I mean?
At least for the first time,
like the first time I go to Machu Picchu,
I kind of want to do that multi-day trek.
And then maybe the second time
I can just do like an easier one.
What do you guys think?
Or are like none of you interested in Machu Picchu?
I don't know.
The reason why I'm considering the hiking one
is because I did the Canadian Rockies
hiking and camping trip last year.
And before I released the trip,
I really didn't know if there would be a lot of interest
because until that point I had never done
like a hiking and camping tour, right?
It's not just hiking, it's camping intense, okay?
So I was like, I don't know if people are going to book this
cause it's not like I'm like a outdoorsy content creator.
It's not like I'm a hiking content creator.
It's not like I'm a fitness creator.
So I was like, I don't know how much interest there would be
in like a hiking and camping tour.
Well, let me tell you that that tour sold out completely.
And we did it and it was amazing.
It was so much fun that we're doing another one.
Yeah, and that's happening in August.
That you can book as well.
I'll link that below too.
So after that, now I'm like,
ooh, maybe I could do more hiking trips
because clearly there are enough people
that want to do these hiking trips.
Yeah, mm, oh my God, did I finish it all?
So yeah, oh my God, that was so good.
There is definitely something in here
that's like doing something with my throat.
That was so good.
That was so good, okay?
All right, you guys.
Well, that brings us to the end of this mukbang.
I hope you guys enjoyed eating with me.
I feel like I was a chatterbox
because it's been some time, okay?
So once again, I have three trips
that are currently available to book.
We have Korea in May.
We have Japan in May after Korea.
So again, you can do both if you want to.
And then we have the Canadian Rockies
camping and hiking trip that's happening in August.
So those are ready to book.
But if you are someone that's very interested
in coming along to a future vegan tour with me,
check out the link below where you can fill out
like a Google form or a survey
so I can have an idea of kind of where you might wanna go
and what kind of tours might be feasible, okay?
So guys, thank you so much for watching.
I hope I see you in Japan or maybe in Korea
or maybe in Canada.
All right, you guys, thank you so much for watching
and I'll see you in my next video, bye.
