This time, we filmed the work process and interviewed lacquer artisan Takagi Nozomu, who practices lacquer craft in Kyoto.

Encountered lacquer at craft school, learned tea utensil lacquering during apprenticeship, and became an independent artisan. Works by applying traditional techniques to diverse objects—from lacquering the walls of his own tea room to creating chess pieces and metal goods.
