Hello everyone good day
I'm standing in front of a very special row of trees
If you happened to pass by you'd probably just think
Ah this is a purple flower But for
those who live here who've been in
Da Lat a little longer—those who've lived in Da Lat for generations—
They will know that this flower is nearly a symbol
of Da Lat city—neither apricot nor peach blossom
The one in question is the purple
jacaranda flower In Vietnam there are
many cities—some famous for their
beaches others renowned for their cuisine
But in Da Lat it's renowned for its flower seasons and among all
of them the purple jacaranda bloom is perhaps the most celebrated
What leaves the deepest impression on people
And here's something really
strange—Purple jacaranda is not
a native tree of Vietnam it originates from South America
In the wind-rich regions of Brazil
and Argentina and over half a century
ago a French agricultural engineer
brought the seeds of this plant species
Trying growing it in the Dalat area here I am
And the area where Tung is standing right here
is a very beautiful row of purple flamboyant flowers
This area is located within the Workers' Hotel folks
Tùng has already made a video about this area
This hotel will be located in zone 1 on Zetsin Street
And Tung who was standing
here was in a dream around
noon so this area was also quite empty of visitors
Typically weekends are
very busy when you and your
friends are here and
right now it's early March
It's the season of beautiful purple flamboyant flowers and
this area typically attracts a large number of tourists
Come here to visit the purple flamboyant flowers
And this purple jacaranda flower when
first brought to try growing in Da Lat
sparked some truly fascinating stories—
what makes this plant so intriguing here
First the plants here take a very long time to grow but they
never bloom—after many years you 'd
just see a plain green plant
And surprisingly it was more than ten years before
the first purple flower bosses began to appear
At that moment everyone was
utterly stunned—truly bewildered
—and from then on this city gained a new kind of flower
It's the purple flamboyant flower
And there's one question that many visitors—so many guests
in fact—ask Tùng whenever he takes them out to take photos
That's why the purple flamboyant trees here are so beautiful
Actually the answer is really simple
guys It's because of the climate
Da Lat is located at an elevation of 1 500 meters above sea level
This keeps the temperature in our Đà Lạt pleasantly cool
Right now Tùng is on the move—it's already nearly noon
But Tùng still felt the air was very cool—outside
temperature is probably just around 21 to 22 degrees folks
And in Da Lat there's one more very special thing
and that's the significant temperature variation
The difference between day and night temperatures
This difference helps stimulate plants to flower more vigorously
And moreover Dalat is located in the Ba Giang red soil region of the
Central Highlands the red soil here is extremely rich in nutrients
That's why it's not just the purple jacaranda
But also many other trees and flowers that are thriving vigorously
It's incredibly beautiful in Da Lat and you
can see it everywhere throughout the city
As you walk along the streets of Da Lat you'll
notice the roadside
especially beside the fences
They grow an abundance of trees and flowers sometimes无人
to tend to them all yet the
flowers still bloom beautifully
And many visitors upon passing by feel deeply curious about why
the flowers here look beautiful no matter where they're planted
And right before us is a scene of purple flame trees in bloom
This is a bud not fully open yet and
I'd guess it'll bloom beautifully
in about one or two weeks
And here is the pair of scenes
Our purple flame tree
The purple is so beautiful
At first glance it seems
It feels a bit melancholy almost cool with sadness
—like the city's very name is a city of sorrow
And if you look a bit closer
this purple flame tree flower is quite different from the red flame tree flower
In other regions whether in Da Lat or other cities and provinces the
flame trees I've seen usually have
flowers that are extremely vibrant
Scorching and chaotic yet the purple flamboyant flowers are
entirely different—this shade of
purple stirs something within us
It brings to mind something gentle slower
and carrying a
faint touch of cool melancholy
Now Tùng sees two tourist friends taking photos
and checking in with this purple flamboyant flower
And when I go out to take photos like this I
time them for those early morning moments or
sometimes mid-morning or early afternoon when the lighting turns
out as beautifully as you see
Because when shooting during this time the weather is usually sunny and
shooting flowers in Da Lat is especially beautiful when the sun is shining
And this purple bougainvillea
carries a beauty that seems to hold a
touch of melancholy perhaps precisely
why it suits Da Lat so perfectly
A city that feels unhurried
where people come just
to stroll sip coffee and
snap a few check-in photos
And seeing these rows of trees hearing
the birds sing hearing the pines
rustle—just that is enough to fill
one with deep happiness and peace
And if you'd like to see the purple jacaranda flowers in
Dalat make sure to visit during this season
The purple jacaranda
blooms most beautifully from
early March to early April
a month of stunning blossoms
And the scenic route you should take passes through
The first stop is where Tung is standing right now
Located within the Workers' Hotel area
And there's another place that's also
very beautiful—namely the shores of Xuan
Huong Lake Tung thinks there are several lovely purple jacaranda trees there
Near the area opposite Đinh Tiên Hoàng Street
That duck-pedaling spot you know
And several other streets also feature stunning flowers
Such as Tran Phu Street
And Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street
Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street is an area where
Main entrance to
Dalat Market area
And every year around March
or April like this the entire
city practically bursts into a
very distinctive shade of purple
The purple flame tree flowers
Tung is walking now
This area is the
Lobby
of the Nha Trang Workers' Hotel everyone
And ahead of me was
A tree of purple flamboyant flowers
Blooming exquisitely here
This time of year the hotel is
It's quite quiet
not many visitors
so the atmosphere
feels very peaceful
In reality Da Lat has purple
jacaranda flowers with a color that
is truly unique and exceptionally
rare compared to other cities
It's precisely
this difference
that leads many people to
say that seeing purple flame
trees means you're in Da Lat
Purple jacaranda trees
They've become like a symbol
Of this city you know
As far as Tung knows there
are quite a
few restaurants
and those little
eateries people have named
Purple jacaranda or simply purple
phoenix — the name sounds so
sweet and just hearing "purple
phoenix" fills me
with deep emotion
And there's something very
distinctly Da Lat about it
And this purple flamboyant flower
blooms precisely at the time
at the end of the dry season
and the beginning of the rainy season
meaning when the city
begins to change seasons
So when the locals see the
purple flamboyant flowers
blooming they know Đà Lạt has stepped into
a new season
And the purple of the purple
jacaranda flowers is inseparable from
the city of Da Lat forever linked
to images of the city of misty haze
Tied to the steep hills
So very picturesque
In Da Lat
And linked to the old villas
And
That's precisely the
city's slow-paced rhythm
And when the purple flame trees bloom in full glory the
entire city is draped in a soft
purple hue gentle and serene
Before Tùng stood
Dandelion Coffee
This café
I think they designed it beautifully
It's truly unique
They built these roof structures like this
Like the roof of the
peasant the
Dragon's Roof
This coffee shop is also very old- fashioned and in the distance
over there are the
villas—ancient villas
built in a classic
architectural style
From Europe from France
And one thing Tung realized after
living in Dalat for many years:
Dalat was not just
a city but a place
filled with remarkable structures
It's truly magnificent
—this isn't a
city with the tallest buildings but
it does
possess something exceedingly
rare: seasons of blooming flowers
Spring brings
peach blossoms
And as spring passes
We begin
to see white ban flowers
Then come the golden
durian blossoms
It's also very beautiful right now
with purple wisteria blooming and
even more so with
the roses along the
rose hedges which are truly stunning
And then there are night-blooming cereus flowers
At year's end
And then many
Other flowers
And one day
You return
And you'll see the purple wisteria
You might have forgotten
many things after the trip but
Tung still believes in the
purple hue of these rows of trees
It will be one of the memories you'll
cherish for a very
long time about Dalat
And Tùng's video here has already been quite long
See you again
dear viewers and friends
in another video
