Katerina Siniakova vs. Leylah Fernandez | 2026 Indian Wells Round 2 | WTA Match Highlights

Sinikova, four points. Lovely forehand, just guided onto the line there. Oh my word, Sinikova's dumped it wide. Well that is most unlike Sinikova on the backhand. Fernandes gets away with it. My word, that was a tough old set. It's not getting there, it's a beauty from Sinikova. That's well played. Found the angle, I'm not sure. And again, Fernandes saves it. That is where we're going. Yep, that's where we're going. Fair play to Sinikova, that's a really good recovery. Pegged back to four games old, didn't let her head drop. She found some real quality in the last two games. Again, well over an hour for a set of tennis. That's what Fernandes was looking for. It could be, it could be. Oh, goodness me. Had to win that point and she did, she's clinging on here. It's wide. And for the third time, Sinikova books her place in the third round here. At Indian Wells. That was some match. They pushed each other really hard. At times, they struggled to find their level. They kept clawing the other back and it felt inevitable we'd go to a final set and even more inevitable we'd go to a tie-break.
