Finally Life Aquatic Divings first full Video in over a year!!! In Late 2019 to early 2020 I worked as a dive guide in Seychelles for the Company Silhouette Cruises. I was a deckhand and dive guide on the charter boat "Sea Pearl" , a sail boat thats just over 100 years old! In this video I will take you cruising, diving and exploring around the Islands of Mahe , Praslin an La Digue in the Beautifil Seychelles Islands located off the coast of East Africa in the gorgeous Indian Ocean. Dive in with us and enjoy the adventure!
You know I'd always wanted to visit the Seychelles. I mean who in their right mind wouldn't?
The beaches, the islands, those long hot tropical evenings. I just never thought that when I did
get around to visiting it would be for a full six months. So we've just landed here on Mahe
and it's already boiling hot. These are the boats that I'll be staying on. Over there you can see
the ferry terminal and over there at the back you can see the silhouette cruisers offices.
This is near the port and I'm on my way trying to find a supermarket. It's very misty today.
So right now I'm on Mahe, Seychelles largest island and I'm at the Eden Island Marina.
We'll be grabbing a boat and heading over to Praline and La Digue to do some diving.
Okay so here I am. SeaPearl the boat I work on behind me. Let's get going. We're gonna clean
the boat off, get it ready for the next set of guests and then we have some free time in the
afternoon. Pretty basic. So this is what it's like living on a yacht. We're anchored in front of a
bay and a beach called Anne's Possession which is named that because this is where they say the
French took possession of the island by burying their title Didier. We've decided to do a bit
snorkeling while we've got some free time. We're gonna pick up some new guests today and then we're
gonna take them over to Curious Island off Praline opposite Anne's Possession. Yeah you can see some
of the giant tortoises that Seychelles is famous for. We're gonna walk through this beautiful
mangrove then have a barbecue for lunch behind this beach and now we're gonna do some diving.
So we're here at beautiful La Digue. One of the most famous beaches.
Source La Gent is here and also one of the most famous islands in Seychelles.
We've just been dropped off at the little port on La Digue.
This is where the ferry will also drop you if you catch a ferry from Marais or Praline.
La Digue is supposed to have no cars although there actually are quite a few vehicles on the
road nowadays. So what most people generally do is hire a bicycle to get around for the day.
We're gonna explore the island and check out the world famous Source La Gent beach.
Some people say this is the most photographed beach in the entire world.
Here we go. So now we're heading up to Source La Gent. Beautiful rock formations here.
This place here is quite incredible. We're just gonna get the beach,
get some photographs quickly and then back to the boat.
Kind of makes me feel alright.
