The trip highlighted Fiji's status as the soft coral capital of the world, featuring vibrant marine biodiversity, healthy reef structures, and encounters with sharks and rays in crystal-clear waters.
As one Blue Horizon diving trip comes to an end it's time to start the next one and this time
we're heading from Vanuatu over to the beautiful legendary diving location of Fiji. This time
we're heading to Tavayuni with a group of 20 divers and we are so excited because this place
is beautiful. Just look at our rooms. Everyone got buras. They were beautiful locations,
well maintained at a beautiful paradise resort Tavayuni and the biggest treat,
outdoor showers and bathrooms. How cool is this? This was going to be a special week.
The first thing we were all so excited to do was head down to the boat, get our gear set up
and start making our way out to the legendary Rainbow Reef. Now for anyone who's never heard
of Rainbow Reef it's this incredible reef structure in Fiji. It has some of the most
colourful and healthy reef in the world and Fiji is famous for sharks but also
being the soft coral capital of the world. In this video we're going to be exploring two dive sites,
the zoo and the one we're on just now, Jerry's Jelly and honestly Jerry's Jelly, wow. Honestly
we could have stayed here all day just even on these pinnacles, these bommies. They were covered
in coral, hard, soft but fish as far as you could see everywhere. We had rays as well cruising by,
you can see Dr Dave's like yeah this is pretty special, incredible visibility and how often
do you get to see reefs like this in the world with fish everywhere. You just honestly,
it was sensory overload as Hannah and Zeb are like yeah this is pretty special.
Now as we're looking around the reef we hear the guides do some clicking in the background
because they've spotted something in the distance and we're like what could it be?
It only could be one thing, we have a little reefy shark cruising past just behind us
and for any of our long-term followers Holly was filming and you know she likes to show me
cushion stars, she thinks she's hilarious. Now me and Matt came across this flatworm,
this little nudibranch coming up dancing. I'll put the picture just here as well because how
this came about was he jumped on my arm and I didn't even realise and once I got him off my arm
he decided that he was going to go on Matt's camera and just make that his home as well
so I'll attach that photo there too. But honestly this was truly beautiful. So just now this clip's
here, we're on the dive, the zoo and Annie is so happy, smiling away from California,
joining her first Blue Horizon diving trip and she was having a great time. Honestly the reef
is phenomenal, the structures are so healthy and one of the most famous dives on Rainbow Reef
is the legendary and deemed as one of the top 10 reef dives in the world,
the Great White Wall. So if you're not subscribed, subscribe to the channel because that video
is coming up in the next couple of weeks and that's not one to miss out,
the Great White Wall because that really lived up to its name.
As you can see, Steven and Holly are celebrating. They're doing a bubble trick here
where when you make a bubble ring you add some more bubbles in underneath and make a motion,
it expands and makes the bubble ring even bigger. Really difficult too but they actually
somehow managed to do it after maybe about 100 attempts but they got there in the end.
But if you ever come to Fiji, you've got to go check out Rainbow Reef. If you've never been to
Fiji, you have to come and explore this incredible island. The people are phenomenal, the resorts are
beautiful, the diving is spectacular as you can see in the next couple of videos and even when
you come to the end of the dives and you're surfacing, you could be surrounded by sharks,
amazing marine life, cool visibility but look when we surface how incredible the
scenery around is as well. Truly spectacular. It's the way he's got his arm out the window
every time. What? It's the way he's got his arm out the window.
