Inside this 1969 time capsule house, everything looks almost exactly the way it did when it was built. This former model home sat untouched for decades and remained vacant for seven years after the original owners passed away.

In today's video, we explore a rare time capsule house built in 1969.

This is not a time capsule because it is filled with abandoned belongings, but because the house itself has never really changed. The kitchen, bathrooms, finishes, flooring and design all remain almost exactly as they were when the home was first built.

Back in the early 1970s this house was actually used as a model home for the neighbourhood developer, showcasing what buyers could expect when the subdivision was first built.

The original owners lived here for nearly fifty years until they both passed away around 2018. After that the house sat vacant for roughly seven years while the family dealt with the estate and probate process.

In 2025 the property was finally sold as-is following an estate sale.

Walking through the house today feels like stepping directly back into the late 1960s.

If you enjoy exploring forgotten places, abandoned homes and real time capsule discoveries, you’re going to love this one.
