Chelsea secured a top three Premier League finish and entry into next season's Champions League group stages with a comprehensive win at Arsenal.
It could have been a dress rehearsal for the Champions League final,
instead this London derby is a battle between the two losing semi-finalists.
Arsenal licking their wounds after a masterclass from Manchester United,
and while the stakes aren't as high as in recent Chelsea-Arsenal confrontations,
the Blues are very keen to hang on to third place in the table at least.
A Gunners win would close the gap on Chelsea to just three points,
a little too close for comfort with two games left after today.
Diaby using some of his to take on Alex,
Van Persie waiting, Ashley Cole for Walcott!
And he couldn't hit the target, Chelsea would have been in a lot of trouble if he had.
Ashley Cole, need to tell you.
Drop a little backheel to Ashley Cole, brilliantly done.
And Miluta, good save by Fabianski, lovely move from Chelsea.
The best they've put together so far.
Well, I could see what he was trying to do there,
but it was a great move down the left-hand side,
and Ashley Cole does fantastic, and he goes in there.
For me, he picks out the right pass as well,
but Florent doesn't hit the ball well enough
and sort of scuffs it towards that far post and Gibbs clears it,
but great move down the left-hand side.
Goalwards, hopefully Diaby takes it down.
Oh, Alex with the challenge, did enough, and Song shoots wide.
He's got to score there, Song.
He really has to just turn his body around a little bit more
and steer that onto the target, but he slices at it with his left foot.
Again, Chelsea ride their luck.
Gibbs clears.
I think Ashley knows sometime during the game
he'll get an opportunity maybe to reciprocate.
Down goes Drogba, free kick.
Fabregas shakes his head, but that did look a foul from here.
Drogba.
Oh, Alex is in there!
Yes!
Goal for Chelsea!
What a header that was.
Fabianski never moved.
And Alex scores only his second league goal of the season.
Chelsea are in front.
Well, if there's ever a way to silence the boo-boys, that's it.
It's a great ball from Didier, fed into a fantastic area,
but that's a great header from Alex.
He's still got plenty to do.
They've been all over us for the last 25 minutes.
It just shows you what football's about.
You've got to stick the ball in the right area.
Essien to McKeown.
A bit of renewed belief from the Arsenal supporters in the last few minutes.
And now Keown, lovely turn away from Nasri.
And going for it!
Oh, what a goal!
Oh, Nicolas Inelka against his old club with an absolute rocket.
Goal number 23 for the season.
2-0 to Chelsea in real style.
This is Nicolas Inelka at his best.
Turning, running at defenders, showing all his pace.
And what a finish at the end of it.
Very young Arsenal captain, of course, just 21.
Essien.
The alarm bell's ringing for Arsenal.
Miluta.
And Inelka!
Straight at Fabianski.
Could have been three, maybe should have been...
Well, it had to be.
I mean, I've got to say, Nicolas Inelka's finish just now was sublime.
That was a poor finish.
I mean, he's just given you a goalkeeper the opportunity to get his legs in the way.
Should have really hit that in the back of the net and game over.
It's really the summer past in the season,
and their inability to finish off chances.
And a lot of nil-nil draws here this season.
Diaby.
Nasri.
Well played, Didier Drogba.
And well played, Chelsea.
What a goal from Nicolas Inelka to make it 2-0.
Chelsea threatening to put an end to Arsenal's 21-game Premier League unbeaten run.
They've been phenomenal in this first half.
Half-time here at the Emirates.
Arsenal nil, Chelsea two.
Lovely ball by Mikel.
And Drogba could be in here!
Oh, it's in!
It's an own goal!
Colo Turre.
Arsenal's miserable afternoon goes on.
Another lovely sweeping move from Chelsea.
And the cross resulted in OG.
Arsenal nil, Chelsea three.
Trying to rub even more salt in the wound.
Who made the cross?
Ashley Cole.
Great running behind Walcott there.
Feeds it in there.
Turre just trying to come in and get something on it.
But great little ball from Ashley fed into that danger area,
which is very hard to defend.
Sania.
Nasri's up there with him.
This is Nasri against Ashley Cole.
Sania.
But no!
Well, nothing wrong with that header.
And Arsenal have got their goal back with just over 20 minutes left.
The shocking dive that was.
Well, against that, I can't understand why his touch was so poor.
Lampard through for Miluta!
Oh, great save.
And Nelker!
Off the post for Miluta!
It's four.
Chelsea have sealed the points.
It took them about six goes,
but they got there.
Flora Miluta scoring his eighth of the season.
This is great play.
Essien flicks it through the lamps.
Look at that run from Miluta.
We get a little bit of luck, comes off the post,
and there he is, stood in the six-yard box, just waiting to toe it in.
Should have scored initially, didn't.
Got a little bit of luck and got his rewards in the end.
Ashley Cole.
One more chance for Chelsea.
Lampard through to Nelker.
He's offside.
That will probably be that.
Well, what a phenomenal response by Chelsea
to going out of the Champions League in such unfair circumstances.
Their first ever win at the Emirates Stadium,
and absolutely emphatic.
Arsene Wenger's side crushed after making such a good start to the game.
Well, after that agony,
Chelsea have pinned themselves up off the floor.
Arsenal 1-4 Chelsea.
