In today's Shelter Me, we have two puppies and a senior dog in search of a forever home.
Cecily Tynan introduces us to the dogs, including one who is actually named after Cecily.
For this week's Shelter Me, Tina Feeney is here from Lucky Dog Rescue with these adorable
girls.
Yeah.
This one's name is Cecily.
And this one, Ruthie.
So tell me about these little girls.
So these two girls are six weeks old.
They are a litter of nine.
Their mom came up from down south.
She is a cattle dog, a blue killer mix.
Oh.
Our dog.
She is a sweetheart.
She's such a good mom.
If anyone isn't familiar with the breed, what's their trait?
What's their personality?
They're very, very smart.
They're very loyal dogs.
Love to run around.
They're really overall, you know, great family dogs.
So what would be the ideal family for these girls?
Pretty much any family would be a good fit because, you know, puppies kind of acclimate.
And so what should somebody do if they're interested in either of these girls or you
have more?
Yes.
We have more.
Are the litter available?
They can go to our website, luckydoganimalrescue.com.
I have a feeling they're going to go fast.
Okay.
This is Ruthie.
And that's Cecily.
She's a troublemaker.
What a surprise.
And from puppies to a senior dog, we have Hattie here and Lindsey King from the Pennsylvania
SBCA.
12-year-old dog.
Yes.
Beautiful cattle dog.
And tell me about her.
Her story is a really special one.
She was adopted and lived in a home for many, many years.
And when her owner had some medical issues come up, she had to surrender her back to
us.
Oh.
We know for certain that she was definitely loved in the home.
You can just tell this girl is so sweet.
The note from the adopter was just heartbreaking.
But she has such a great disposition.
She really does.
She's so sweet.
She's so smart.
And her life was a really good one.
So we know that the next chapter is going to be a really good one for her also.
She shouldn't be in a shelter as a senior girl.
Exactly.
And she can get along with a lot of different types of animals.
Yeah.
So she's open to meeting dogs and also kids because I know that's a really important one.
And she also lived with a parrot.
So we think she could probably likely live with anything with proper intros and slow
intros in the homes.
If they're interested, you should just come into the shelter any day from 12 to 630.
Bring your whole family.
Bring any resident dogs.
All right.
We're going to find you a home, you beautiful little girl.
